I recently ventured to the local glory days here in good ole Brooksville Florida to help with my depression of being in Brooksville Florida. So I decided that I could use a couple of drinks to start me off for when I get home and cap off a bottle of barefoot 32 oz before I go to bed. Felicia was the bartender and boy was she the best I've had in my many years of drinking. She's a sexy blonde with a nice smile and a sassy flare that shows in the drinks she serves. Our first experience walking in the door was a rude hostess telling us we had to take a table because there was no booths or they weren't clean yet, We offered to wait but anyways we got a table I ordered a blue cheese burger my wife ordered a chicken grilled took 25 to 30 minutes for the food to get to us at lunchtime I ordered my hamburger medium pink in the middle not dry when I got my meal my plate was red hot the burger was cool and the fries were cool everything was dried out my wife's plate was cool and her meal was warm so some kind of a mess up in the kitchen there was no pink in my hamburger it was dried out from being under the light in the kitchen for heat very disappointed in the meal and the service and will not come back read more

We went to the grand opening today and were very impressed! There are TVs everywhere and they have a fantastic outdoor seating area. The staff was excellent...the food was amazing!! First time ordering from them and won't be back. Ordered the Buffalo Wings hot. They were not hot, were dry, and tasted as if they were fried in the same oil as the fish. Really nasty tasting. They received the extra star because the girl that brought us our food was pleasant. Also, explain to me how you can get 18 wings for 19.50 but 6 wings cost 8.40. You do the math. This is a sports bar franchise. It's pretty new here in Brooksville. It was fairly crowded, but we easily found a spot at the bar & decided to eat there. Staff was pleasant & friendly. The ceilings are all metal, so it was very loud, but since it's a sports bar, people don't really come to talk to each other. On the whole, it seemed a bit chaotic & there was a time with no actual sports on the screen, which was weird. The beer selection is good & reasonably priced. The food, however, is overpriced and hit or miss. My husband and I ordered burgers. I had the mushroom swiss upgraded to bison, which was very good, but $13 is a bit much. My husband had the mvp, which was just ok, for $12.50. they came with fries, which were barely warm & rather hard. They did bring us hot fresh fries, though, when my husband mentioned it. The staff was apologetic, which we appreciated. Maybe they just need time to get things running more smoothly. I wish them well. read more

Glory Days was recommenced by friends for " good food & a beer". So we had the opportunity to be in the Brooksville area a few days ago & followed their suggestion....... wished we had stuck with our tried & true we know in Brooksville! Glory Days feel far from the mark! Started off with a wine( they show 7 oz on the menu) mine was 4oz @ best. & beer..... then dry rubbed wings , pretty good.... .....went all down hill from there! We know Philly Cheese steaks trust me! The one we ordered was bland, tasted like frozen cheap shaved steak & very little of it. Paid an upcharge for extra cheese that somehow didn't make it on the sandwich. Asked for onions & mushrooms..... seriously there might have been a teaspoon of each on the sandwich. Then the burger! Ordered cheddar bacon, medium/well. Three tiny little 1/2 strips of bacon, barely enough cheese to cover a rather small overcooked burger. Definitely NOT Angus beef. Had a funky out of the country beef flavor. Asked for extra crispy fries..... had a few left over little pieces & the rest were not cooKed frozen fries! So the table manager did take $5.00 off the bill & we appreciated that, however, not enough to go back there again! 1st time I went there they were still under training managers all was good, took a while for food to come out. 2nd time food saturated in old oil. Food gross, macaroni balls, bang shrimp, bacon on BLT black as charcoal. Asked for no tomatoes on nachos it was loaded with tomatoes. Waitress boxed up the food and put a macaroni ball that fell on the table in the to go box with the rest of the food. I clearly put it on a separate plate and said this one fell on the table and she saw it fall on the table as well as I handed her the plate to box up. 3rd attempt for to go, phone just rang about 60x and a girl picked up I asked for Togo , she transferred me to Togo that person couldn't hear me and hung up, I called back no answer. We went tonight had heard nothing but good things about this restaurant, our server Lindsay could not get us out of there fastest enough. To begin we called ahead and were seated for about 5 minutes when the server comes over to get our drink order, with much impatience she says do you know what you want or something to the effect she takes the order 15 minutes later our drinks arrive by this time she has already taken our food order and it comes out literally 5 minutes later my other half had finished his beer and she never offered us another drink just wanted to know if we needed the check yet, however we were watching the game and would have liked another drink but chose to pay the bill and leave. If you want to be rushed out and not enjoy your meal go to Glory Days I'm Cortez and ask for Lindsay she will do it with a quickness!!! read more

Three visits to Glory Days and I'm not too impressed...which is disappointing because I had really high hopes for this latest restaurant. 1st visit we waited 45+ minutes to get our food...burger and wings...and tables seated after us were already eating and almost DONE with their meals. At this point my husband said "never again" would we go back. However a few weeks later we did give it a 2nd chance to see if things improved. I had a huge piece of fish which was undercooked on the thicker end...really needed to be cut more uniformly for even cooking and my husband's spicy wings weren't very spicy. So again not too impressed with the place. 3rd time my daughter invited me to lunch there and I was eager to try the pulled pork sandwich. Our waitress assured me the pork was not fatty AT ALL as she was picky about that also. The sandwich comes and I lift the bun...the pulled pork was fine but it was topped with SLICED pork that was FULL of fat...disgustingly so. I removed the sliced pork and proceeded to eat the pulled...which didnt have much flavor. Someone...a manager?...came by and asked how everything was. I showed her the extremely fatty sliced pork and she agreed...then said they never should have served that. At this point we were halfway thru the meal and she wanted to replace my sandwich for a new one. I said it wasn't necessary but she did it anyway. When it came I asked the server for a box to take it home. Really don't know why they bothered replacing it because it was just like the first...pulled was ok but the sliced was fatty again. I'm sorry but when I order a PULLED pork sandwich I expect the whole thing to be pulled...this was very disappointing. Very Very pricey for what you get. Very small portion of chicken. I had the bbq chicken salad. The salad was shredded lettuce, a few pieces of corn, small chopped tomatoes and some cheese. The chicken tasted like it came from a Can. This is Brooksville, they can't expect to succeed with Tampa prices on their menu. My bill with a beer was just around $17.00. The food was not bad, but the management was horrible! We were having a discussion amongst the table about something with the food. The waitress sent the manager over. The manager looked like he has been a manager for about 11 min. He asked if we had a question about the food, I said no we did not. He then kept on asking and trying to explain why the food is the way it is. I almost had to force him to leave the table. Then my sisters food came out with tomatoes on it when she asked for no tomatoes. The manager tried to comp the whole meal and we did not even complain. The manager needs to learn to train his people right not try to give away free food. I want to pay for what I eat! I will not be eating here again based on the poor customer service skills of this young manager. read more

Sat at the bar last week. Service started pretty good bet fell apart very quickly. Bartender took my drink order and then food order and was pretty much non-existent after that. Wasn't that busy at all, especially with two bartenders back there. My first drink was gone for quite awhile, no follow up and couldn't get her attention. Burger and fries finally arrived, delivered by someone else. Waited awhile longer because no ketchup for fries or burger. Bartender finally came over and I asked for ketchup and another drink. I made comment about waiting for awhile.... no apology. When she brought my drink I commented that the burger was fine but the fries were cold. She took the fries and came back with them hot enough but with their oily taste and consistency it seemed like they were the same fries thrown into the fryer again. I had finished my second drink for quite awhile and still no follow up for another. Most all of this time I could see her talking with customers at the other end of the bar who were obviously regulars. That's really not a problem but other customers, regulars or not, also need to be attended to. Not impressed. read more

Tonight was my first night trying Glory Days because my friend had been there once and suggested we get there for dinner. We called ahead about two hours before and when we got there they told us the wait would be 15-20 minutes. When we mentioned we called ahead they said it would still be 15-20 minutes which was no problem but made the call ahead seem pointless. We were seated with a waitress named Tayler who was very nice and started a conversation with us and took our drink orders, along with suggesting the nacho appetizer. We said we would take it. The chips were seasoned so heavily we couldn't even eat them, and the chicken seemed very chewy and strange. We didn't want to complain but a manager stopped by and noticed that we didn't really enjoy it and started us a different appetizer which he paid for (super nice!!). We thought the night was going well until we waited an entire hour for our food to come out after we ordered. Both of us have worked in the restaurant business and know that 20 minutes is the average time for an order to come out. Also tables around us had sat down after we did and received their food perfectly on time. The waitress joked about how it was taking so long, it was obvious she didn't really know how to handle the situation. We finally get the food an hour and a half after we sat down and the food didn't match what we ordered. We asked for the boxes and a manager didn't stop by again but paid the bill. The staff was very nice but the experience was the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. After waiting so long for my dinner that didn't match what I thought I was getting, my appetite for my burger along with Glory Days was ruined. My two stars are for 1) My drink was refilled plenty and 2) The manager tried to fix the situation. read more
