Pretty solid pizza. Wasn't the best pizza I've ever had ever but for a good pizza craving it hits the spot. I like it better than other popular pizza places in Lawrence. They are quick, fresh, and always so yummy. The people who work there are so kind. The we've never ate in the restaurant but it seems like it's busy and they do a lot of carry out service. Some of the best pizza I've had, especially if we're talking chicken bacon ranch. My friends and I have been trying different flavors as well. So far I'd say the works 7.5/10, taco 8/10 very fresh ingredients, chicken bacon ranch 10/10. This place is very consistent and even better right out of the oven or in the air fryer. read more

The inside is nicer and cozier than I expected for this little pizza place, which was a pleasant surprise. Service was good even if it took a while for the pizza to come out. I loved the Margherita pizza, and the NY crust as well. I would say the 18" NY pizza could feed three adults at most, or two who are very hungry, because the pizza is fairly thin. College towns are always affiliated with having a slew of pizza options at their disposal. More times than not, this doesn't correlate to "good pizza". Yea, when I was 18-21 years old, pizza from a frozen box was the best thing since sliced bread. But, with age comes wisdom and a change of the taste buds. Lawrence like any other college town provides low quality pizza not much different from the frozen boxed pizza I mentioned. Don't misunderstand me, the business owners of these pizza joints are quite intelligent. If you can provide a sub-standard pizza at a low cost for students and still have killer profit margins, go for it. This is America Jack and I'm all about making a buck like the next guy. But..............some of us hanker a decent slice of pizza outside the big city where most of the good quality pizza is located. This is where places like Glory days Pizza steps in. From what I can gather, Glory Days Pizza is no national chain is locally owned and operated originally from Topeka Kansas. I eaten at their Topeka and Lawrence location many times. Consistency is the term here. They consistently provide a fresh tasting pizza that is quite delicious MOST of the time. True, they have their off days. But again, more times than not they cook a mean pizza. Many have compared one of their crust options to Pizza Huts pan pizza. Yes, this is true. But, Glory Days is usually not as greasy as Pizza Hut. Both places normally have a buttery crispy crust along with other varieties of crust. I actually enjoy their thin crust sometimes but always revert back to their thicker crust. The New York style crust is ok. But, it doesn't reheat very well and I try to stay away from that. Their toppings always taste freshly cut and not frozen. Not sure if all their ingredients are fresh or some are frozen. Glory Days has really good pizza sauce. Not too acidic. There are a ton of pizza options at Glory Days. It all depends on your favorite toppings, etc. The other menu options aren't bad. Really like their meatball and Philly cheese steak sandwiches. The chicken wings were surprisingly good as well. Salads are run of the mill variety. Never had their dessert pizzas or cheese sticks. Some have mentioned their prices are a little high. True in a sense. But, you are getting a much better pizza than your $5.99 variety that permeates Lawrence now. Trust me, spend the extra cash and judge for yourself. Look at their website. Usually advertise two pizza specials. Another good option is stop in on M-F during lunch and get their slice specials. Super low prices on slices. Dining in is my favorite thing to do at Glory Days. No frills pizza joint with self serve soda machines. Pizza is always crispy and fresh coming straight out the oven during dine-in. Both locations have good friendly people. Crust is similar to pizza hut pan pizza (the one that's crunchy and kind of oily). The sausage was great, but the spinach was the frozen/canned type and tasted freezer burned. The inside of the shop is very sterile and and generally unnoteworthy. I agree with the other reviewer that the pizza is a little more expensive than most, but generally I'd say it's a decent value. They have slices during the week (likely for the high school crowd across the street). Easily the best pizza in west Lawrence, but you can't beat Rudy's downtown for taste and atmosphere. read more

I have to say im a dedicated customer to this establishment and since they do dining dollars for KU students obviously they get a 5 stars from me. THANKYOU. the only bad encounter ive had here is when I was ordering through the phone and asked if they had any brownies and the man told me no. But then my friend called in 5 min. to order pizza too and asked about the brownies and she got 3.... SOOOO didn't appreciate that. their brownies have to be one of my favorite things. Stick one of those in the freezer for 30 minutes and then take it out it tastes like fudge!!! I love their pizza its grown on my a lot and they offer a tonnnn of pizza crust options! Their meatballs are tasty! The cheesy bread is so so. DO NOT get their BONE IN wings though lowkey just NOT IT. the bonenless wings are alright basically chicken nuggets. The pizza desserts we ordered once and have to say made me and my friends never want to order those again. the desserts just came looking like a kindergarten decorated them lol. I love Glory Days. Since you can use your KU meal plans there, it has become a staple for many of my friends and I. My favorite pizza to order has pepperoni, mushroom, and cream cheese on it. They have good buffalo wings too! They crank through orders there very fast and always seem to be pretty busy. The staff there has always been very nice and considerate also. The only think I'm disappointed about is that last time I ordered the chocolate dulce pizza and was really looking forward to it. When I got it, all it was was pizza crust with a little bit of chocolate drizzled on it. Kind of disappointed, but everything else is a hit! read more

Glory Days is a staple for many of the clubs and programs I participate in on KU campus. Glory Days seems to be able to prepare an obscene amount of pizzas, and deliver them, efficiently and fairly inexpensively. The school might get a good deal from the restaurant because of their repeat business. Their pizza isn't anything too special - it kills my hunger quickly and I eat multiple slices of it. My new favorite is the chicken and bacon with white sauce. The veggie is also quite good. It's worth it to try a new place if you're ordering for a large group. Plus I think they're local! read more

I love supporting local businesses and try my best to do so at every opportunity but I cannot allow myself to order here after the last few times. The prices are NOT reflected in the quality. The people on the phones are not friendly, there's always so much commotion in the background it's hard to hear, the food is NEVER delivered in a timely fashion and has been wrong all FOUR times I have ordered here for delivery. I did pickup once and it took someone almost 7 minutes to realize I was there. It was a slow Monday night and I still had to wait on my food after timing my arrival. The wings are NEVER hot and my pizza has either been doughy or too well done. No in between. And the staff look like they are just having a party, all of them smoking out front and having to speed walk to beat me inside when I get there. I highly recommend you go spend your dime somewhere else and get food that's worth you time and money. read more

We moved to Lawrence from Topeka, and Glory Days has been our favorite pizza for many years. Sadly, this location consistently gets our order wrong and when we call they leave us on hold and we can't speak with a manager. We keep trying thinking it will be better, but again this evening our order is totally wrong. The food is expensive, but high quality. It's worth the money if the orders are correct, but when the orders aren't correct, or a pizza is sent out with large air bubbles, or portions of the pizza are missing cheese it has been more than frustrating. This is very sad to me because the pizza is delicious, but the continuous errors and lack of customer service have made us not want to be customers any longer. read more
