REFUSED TO GIVE ME A PARTIAL REFUND OR STORE CREDIT. Ordered 2 chicken curries through Door Dash my chicken curries were poorly packed with the chicken vindaloo sauce spilled onto the bag. The packaging was paper?! And not secured with any tape. But it gets worse, the chicken was unseasoned and dry as dirt. Curry sauce was liquid and under seasoned as well, yes under seasoned from a Indian restaurant. Worse of all in each curry I only got 6 chunks of chicken breast, less than A FIFTH OF A POUND. Not to mention the rice was overcooked and the lentil soup was watery and not thick and creamy par for the norm. The women I spoke to on the phone telling her the situation and hoping to get a partial refund a store credit or at least an apology, but in line with the food I got lying about package material saying they used plastic, then she passed the blame to door dash blah blah blah, she hung up on me when I called her out on her bs. The staff is friendly, but the food is no longer good at all. The chutneys have been suspect recently. Off color and flavor. The tamarind chutney in last nights order had white clumps floating in it. The Biryani I got had heat, but no flavor. I ordered medium. Honestly, this place has been going down in quality for a long while. I'm sad to see it. They're such nice people. Ordered from this place when I wasn't feeling up to cooking. Trying their delicious samosas and matar paneer was one of the few silver linings of the nearby places I habitually order from being closed. I miss them but I'm super glad I got the chance to try this place! I got a mixed platter of appetizers and quite honestly I don't know most of what was there besides the samosas, but it was all delicious. It was a sampler of different fried things, some vegetable and some chicken, with an array of tasty sauces. Update: I went back for a pick-up order the other week, and I just had to add to this. Their chai is extraordinary! I somehow spaced that I was ordering a hot drink on a roasting hot day, and my first thought when I got it was "oops," but when I tasted it... it was so delicious I said "holy shit" out loud and drank the whole thing in 90 degree weather. Tonight we stopped in at Glory of India for dinner after spending the week watching Bollywood movies and we have to say that we enjoyed the experience. After reading a few of the reviews regarding rude staff we had reservations, but once we walked in we realized that those reviews must have been out of spite. The service here was incredible. The staff was polite, fast and made sure to check in often regarding our meals. At one point multiple staff members came and checked in which was nice. We started out with the mixed platter, Paneer Pakora and garlic Naan which were all delicious. The Naan was fresh and the chutneys that accompanied them were great as well. When it came to our entrées, we bought the chicken Tikka Saag and their Lamb Curry. Both were great and the rice that accompanied it was perfectly cooked. The only complaint we had was that we didn't have room in our stomachs for the whole meal. In the end the only minor critique was our to go packaging which ended up leaking. They placed our left over chicken and lamb in coffee cups with lids, some of which spilled out the top. That being said, everything else was great! read more

What a gem in this small town! One of the owners was there and treated us so nicely, made sure we were happy with everything throughout our meal. Everyone at our table actually ordered the same thing - Chana Saag and garlic naan - and no one was disappointed. The dish has a slight natural kick to it at "mild," but it's delicious. The garlic naan wasn't too bubbly, but it was more flat and buttery and had the best flavor ever. I also had a serving of the hot coconut soup, which was on the sweet side and had pieces of dried coconut as well as a sweet honey in it. I really thought it was unique and would recommend it. I love this restaurant. It's really homestyle and light rather than oily. The couple who run this place treat us like family. We like to sit at the bar to eat so we can watch Indian soap operas on the TV. Sometimes the show Bollywood movies on a screen. Watch out because medium is hot and hot is crazy. I ordered: Bhajia: too salty; Roti: burned and unappetizing; Kheema Mattar: a whole lot of tomatoes, onions, peas, and watery gravy but I had to literally search for the ground meat for a dish priced at $16.95; Lamb Sagwala: a whole lot of saag with three measly pieces of lamb (cooked tender though) for a dish priced at $16.95. The only dish even remotely edible was the Chicken Curry. Otherwise we literally THREW OUT our entire order ($98 including the tip to GrubHub delivery person) after a few bites. I can't begin to tell you how amazing our meal was here. We currently live outside of Boston but were visiting family in the western part of the state and went here for dinner together, and I honestly think this might have been the best Indian food I have had to date, and I've tried a bunch of places! The flavor combinations were so unique and different from other Indian food I've had. We tried an assortment of dishes from mild to spicy, vegetarian and meat, rice and naan. I'm gluten intolerant so I couldn't have the bread, but the waitstaff was incredible about being prepared to answer questions. Turns out pretty much everything on the menu with the exception of a couple bread-based things are gluten free. Onion bajis, ahh! I could eat them! I was so happy! The dal makhani was out of this world. It had some kidney beans and other vegetables mixed into it as well and had this rich almost cocoa-like flavor. So delicious! The chicken tikka masala was out of this world, and not sicky sweet like some other tikka masala I've had. Korma - amazing. Everything was just so good. The owner came out afterward and chatted with us for a while. Such a nice man and I am really rooting for him and this new business! I was reluctant to review this place because the owners seem very friendly, which makes me feel almost guilty, but I can't deny the experience I had. While perfectly friendly, the service was awkward and slow, to the point where our party of three--the only people in the restaurant at the time--had to wait a long time for the check even though our plates were mostly cleaned. The bigger problem, however, was the food itself. I ordered chicken tikka masala (something I always order my first time at a new Indian restaurant because it seems reliable and hard to mess up) at "medium" spiciness, and there were several problems with it: the chicken was overcooked and chewy, the sauce was overly sweet and not at all spicy, and there was no cream or yogurt in the sauce whatever. Now, I'm not an expert on Indian food by any means, but I've never had masala anywhere that seemed just like stewed tomatoes in a mild curry. It actually tasted similar to an Italian pasta sauce. Glory of India is a really amazing Indian restaurant. That is, in my opinion. The atmosphere is friendly, and the service was wonderful. The people that work there are very kind and when my father swallowed his food incorrectly and started coughing, they stopped their work to see if he was alright. The restaurant is well taken care of and clean. Now, onto the food "portion" (heh see what I did there?) The food was amazing! I didn't order anything hotter than mild, but I still loved my food. I ordered Aloo Palak, which is potatoes sautéed in spinach, and it was delicious. They offered generous portions of food. I ordered the naan garlic bread and it is very nice when you just ate something spicy. At dinner time they play videos on a pull down screen in the front of the restaurant and I believe that it is a unique and really cool touch to the place. We have never paid for extra rice. Also, they added a charge of 3.95% of our bill to use a debit card or credit card! When asked why they added this charge, she replied "there is a sticker on the door" Ridiculous. This place is the best place around to get indian cuisine, no contest. My boyfriend and I eat here a couple times a month, both dine in and take out. Aside from appetizers I always get the chicken biryani. The chicken is delicious, cooked perfectly so you can tear apart easily with your fork. My boyfriend gets the chicken sagwala and they give you so much he always has leftovers (and if you've never had sagwala cold, try it. Delicious.) Very fairly priced and worth every cent. It's very clean inside and beautiful. The setting is very warm. The Aloo Tikki is to die for and their samosas are so good I could probably eat 100 of them. I could eat all the naan and paratha for breakfast, lunch, and dinner lol. I'm still exploring the menu (because I have my favorites) but so far nothing has been a let down. Mild is mild, medium is pretty dang spicy, and the third level is HOT. If you like heat, you'll want to order hot. Also, this place has many many many GLUTEN FREE options. And many vegetarian options. And many meat lovers options. Everyone will be able to find something to eat here. Now let's talk about the restaurant owners themselves. They are so sweet and kind. I love having little conversations with them when we stop by and they always remember me. It's a couple who run the place and they are very attentive, even if it's packed!
