I enjoyed it a lot but the best part of my visit was the fact that at this place massage comes with a foot scrub. It helped me relax even more plus they offered to try their Vichy shower procedure. I went ahead and it was awesome. This is where your body is being massaged by strong streams of water. Great to relief tension and get rid of cellulite. :) Currently there is a promotion going on where you can buy a Gift Certificate of $120 value for just $69! It includes 1 hr Swedish full body massage, full body sugar/salt scrub plus that Vichy shower that I liked. I purchased the gift cert and am looking forward to my next visit. This is our second time going for couples massage. The first time was very pleasant and relaxing. I wish I can remember the two ladies who had massaged us, but definitely a 5 star for both. This second time, was not worth the money or our time. We felt like they needed more training and would rate this experience as a 1 star, overall I'm giving a 2 star. We had Holly and Cici but which one I had personally I don't know. My masseuse literally used her feet 85% of the time. There was no technique. I don't know what was going on, but after we had left we still felt knots, tense and confused what we paid for. I would rather just have my niece step on my back and probably got a better experience. Instead we're back at home with salonpas on our backs and shoulders. Reading back on other recent reviews, it seems the quality and experience is not what it used to be. I hope they read the reviews and use it to improve their establishment. This was a big disappointment. We're not sure if we would want to come back or if we need to try another massage spa. I had a 1 hour Swedish massage and 1 hour facial package. The massage was one of the worst ones I've gotten and I have had many massages from different places (both cheaper and more expensive than here). I was supposed to get a Swedish massage, but my guess for what I got would be a combination of deep tissue or Thai? My masseuse was able to work out some knots from my shoulders, but overall it was her running her elbows all over my back with very firm pressure and parts of it was painful. For the foot massage, only the top part of my foot was massages and not the bottom which I found very odd. It honestly reminded me of the type of massages you get from cheap Chinese massage parlors, and I questioned how trained my masseuse was. I would not recommend this place for massage nor would I come back. As for the facial, I thought it was fine. I infrequently get them, so can't comment on the quality of it. My face was a little red afterwards, which I assume is normal. Only odd part was she worked on extracting the mole on my face. She also stepped out of the room a few times during my service. One thing I appreciated was the cake and tea at the end of the service. I thought that was a great touch and they even had a birthday goodie bag for me. read more

Glow Day Spa is a very professional place for a excellent massage. My last appointment was on August 9, 2019 with a Pro masseuse by the name of Rose. I been to the Spa on many occasions and each time I prefer Rose as my masseuse. She is very professional at her trade and she know how to make the customer feel welcome and completely relaxed. She has a great personality, care about the customer, and has a lovely smile. Rose has been at her trade for a number of years and still good at what she do. I have visited a number of massage parlors over the years trying to find the right masseuse that could do the job right. When I found Rose my search was over. Their is know doubt in my mind that Rose is the best masseuse in the business and I believe she is a plus to the Glow Day Spa establishment. I can't review the services here because the rude employee that spoke to me on the phone was totally uncooperative once she found out I was using Groupon. At the beginning of the call, she was able to give me the time and service that I wanted but then reversed once I told her I had a Groupon voucher, saying " Oh you need to make your appointment 2 weeks in advance." I am not one to leave bad reviews. 90% of the time I only bother coming on here to write a fantastic review. Unfortunately, that is not this case. I have had some odd experiences with massage, or massages that weren't the best but this hands down is the absolute WORST experience I have EVER had! I am very confused because I have visited this "spa", if you can even call that, before and had a decent time. The ambiance since I visited last had gone down hill, they need some upgrades. Their beds, especially the face rests are extremely uncomfortable to start. I wish this was my biggest complaint. There are many but just wait til the end. It'll be worth it... 1. Horrible beds 2. The masseuse walks into the room, Hannah I was told her name was, although she didn't say a word when she walked in or introduce herself. Terrible etiquette. 3. I know most masseuses use a combination of hands and elbows, this was a 2 hour treatment I booked after all. But she went right in with the elbows and in areas like my ribs where it's BONE! And 90% of the massage she used her elbows and barely used her hands. Mind you, this was only for 40 mins because I walked out of my massage early! I could not even stand to finish it. She even used her elbows on MY hands, I've never experienced that... ever. 4. I would call my experience less of a massage and more like someone putting a dry rub on meat. There was zero massage technique involved! It was the worst "massage" ever. 5. She walked out of the room without any explanation 3 times in the first 15 mins. The final time, she brought in a fan and pointed it directly at me without asking if I was ok with that or the temperature, on a cold January day at that. 6. Here is the final straw... SHE FELL ASLEEP ON ME! Like literally on top of me, while massaging. Only 35 mins into the massage she was working on my neck and moving up to my scalp and legit started snoring and passed out forward on top of my head. I immediately asked her to leave, got dressed, went to the front and explained what happened. The lady at the front was nice and addressed the situation as best she could and did offer another masseuse to finish my massage. I was so done at that point and no offense would not trust anyone there to ever touch me again! It's safe to say I won't be coming back and I obviously did not pay them a penny! If I were the owner of this place I would be mortified! Don't waste your time or money here please. I chose this place to avoid going through the cheap Asian massage experience and I got even worse than that! read more

Told my wife about it and she was very excited. When she arrived at the business they said they don't have her appt. She called me to confirm and I even told her the appt was set to be with Helen. The employee stated they didn't receive notification of the appt, even though I had an e-mail confirmation. So I told my wife to walk out and we will find another place since this place wasn't willing to keep their end and welcome her in or at least offer any type of discount since it was not our fault. I took my boyfriend here for our anniversary and it was not the best experience. We waited for 20 minutes for the couple's massage. Then she sent us to our room and we waited for 40, FORTY minutes. When we went out of the room a few times no one was to be found. When someone finally was at the front desk, she said sorry and that she forgot about us. It just seemed super unprofessional to forget about 2 people when they're on the schedule. Definitely good customer service. I made an appointment and had to change the time twice because of babysitter issues. But they were SO accommodating. On top of that -- I was around 20 minutes late to my appointment, and they still took me and serviced me for the full 60 minute massage! (I've been to spa salons where they deduct the time from your treatment if you're late, so KUDOS to GDS for taking care of me. ) The salon itself is fairly dark which I appreciate and on a Saturday afternoon, wasn't crowded so I didn't hear people going in and out of the rooms. The girl who did my massage spoke English with a slight accent but was very pithy. I loved that she wasn't crazy talkative and just did her thang! The receptionist didn't try and oversell other treatments but did ask if I wanted a facial. If i had time/money I probably would have added that! The salon was a bit hard to find since it's tucked away inside a commercial building with other businesses, but thankfully I saw the sign to the back door from the parking lot. Wow wow wow wow wow I left this place speechless after 1.5 hours of massage and 30 minutes facial. Honestly one of the best massages and facials I have ever had. In the facial they must have used over 20 different creams and the massage pressure was exactly what I asked for and if you tell them where your pain is you will get that special attention in those areas. The front desk girl was very knowledgeable nice presentable and beautiful; Helen the owner was there as well and I had the honor to get a massage from her. I walked in to get a massage with my husband after coming back from a trip and it was not as we expected it to be. We wanted to try out a new place ever since we moved and thought this may potentially be "our place". The actual massage table was under construction so we were asked to lay down on a table with no comfort. The masseurs came in and felt as if they were not experienced at all. Having never had a massage before, I was really excited to finally try one. I researched places close to me on Yelp and decided to go with Glow based on all of their great reviews. I definitely should have been more vocal during and after my massage, but it wasn't until talking to a few people about it and the drive home to really process what had happened, that I realized the experience I had was even worse than I initially felt it was. The place is very cute and clean. The woman working the front desk was SO sweet and made me feel very welcomed. I talked with her about what my concerns were (car accident- so neck and back & she wrote it down on my intake paperwork). I booked my appointment online with Helen after reading her reviews, but when I showed up I was told Holly would be my masseuse. I initially thought I either heard wrong or I made a mistake when booking- either way, I didn't feel like it was a huge deal and let it go. Right off the bat I noticed how loud the other employees were in the hall. The music was very quiet and you could literally hear everything happening outside of the door. Bummer. But again, didn't think it was a huge deal. About 3/4 minutes after the women working the front desk stepped out the room, Holly opened the door without knocking which made me a bit uncomfortable considering I may not have been under the cover yet (luckily I was). She was very sweet and asked how I was doing and double checked that I wanted hot stones. She was wearing heel/clog type shoes that were very loud as she was walking back and forth on the tile floor during the massage. Also a bummer, but oh well. A few minutes into the massage she asked what areas I would like to focus on (which I thought had already been explained to her on the intake form). She asked if I would like to focus more on the neck or lower back, I paused and then decided on neck. Although she did focus on my neck, it was more my shoulders and she didn't go near my lower back at all. Maybe I misunderstood her question and she thought I didn't want her to massage my lower back? Again, I should have spoken up, but I kept thinking she would get to it and was more focused on trying to relax my mind and let her do her thing. She spent the most time on my legs which was kind of a bummer and probably the part of my body that I cared the least about getting massaged. Then she turned me over and started what I thought was going to be the head and scalp massage the front desk had told me about. I was really excited about this because I have TMJ and it's been pretty painful lately. Holly proceeded to scratch my scalp (she had very long nails that I could feel throughout the entire massage wth the hot stones). She didn't massage my scalp, only scratched it, and other then patting a few drops of essential oil on my forehead, she didn't massage or go near my face at all. A few minutes later, she began massaging my legs again. I think at least 35 minutes of my massage was spent on my legs. At this point I was pretty disappointed. As much as I wish I was the type to speak up, I'm just not. So I let it be. A few minutes later, my massage was over. She turned the light all the way up and while I awkwardly laid there naked under the covers for about 5 minutes, she cleaned up all of the towels, oil etc... While bending over to clean everything off the shelf, she was literally hitting me in the head with her butt while apologizing and continuing to do it. It really made an awkward experience just that much more awkward. Shouldn't you let the client get dressed and exit the room before you turn all the lights on and clean everything up? Again, everyone was SO SO nice but overall I'm super disappointed. Being a full time student, single mom and working 2 jobs, it takes a lot for me to do something like this for myself. I don't feel any different than I did prior to the massage and truthfully feel like I just wasted a babysitter, time away from my home and homework & $70 ($50 massage for new clients, $10 hot stones & $10 tip). They did give me the aromatherapy for free which was nice, I guess! Anyway, I'm happy to read that this hasn't been everyone's experience and I hope that this review prevents further instances like this one. read more

This was the best massage ever!! When I arrived there, it was clean, cozy and the staff very friendly. I went into the massage room and was taken with the soothing lighting, smells and soft music. Then Judy took me away to a place of peace and tranquility. From the top of my head to the bottom of my feet, she helped me release what I didn't know I was carrying. After a nice ending body scub, then shower, I felt 10 pounds lighter. My head was clear and I had a huge smile on my face. I was then given hot tea and chocolate. Came here for a couples massage after seeing a special on Groupon and the value was amazing. My boyfriend and I were greeted immediately when we walked in and offered refreshments. We got our own private room and the first masseuse walked in to greet us. Her name was Joy and she was amazing. She was so nice and friendly and was my boyfriends masseuse. We liked that she made conversation to not make the first contact so awkward. The only downside was my masseuse wasn't as talkative but definitely still friendly. She just didn't introduce herself and was a little quiet. The massage itself was great. The hotstones were amazing. Will definitely be back and might even look into getting a membership. The message therapists were absolutely wonderful , completely relaxed both my husband and I , the music was relaxing with no noise to distract you. This was a very odd massage. Not to say some parts weren't good. But half way through my massage, they switched therapist and my massage was paused for a bit due to the transition and resetting up it seemed like, they were also talking as well. It was a bit of an awkward time cause I was laying there with no sheet and no towel face up while they did this. Felt very exposed. It was painful sometimes not due to the pressure but odd technique and digging in the same area over and over. What really got me was the receptionist, while I was paying I did leave a decent tip. About 20% and I tip as a reflection to the service. Even that I thought was generous. She had the audacity to tell me to tip more, what!? This right here is the reason I will not come back. Went with my girls to get half massage/half facial. We had to wait a little bit before being taken in but that wasn't a big deal. It was a nice, clean, serene environment and we were even offered a glass of champagne. The massage and facial both were wonderful. The only strange thing was that when I made the appointment, I booked the mini pamper, which was on their website at the time. But when I paid after our session, the total was a tad bit more than I was expecting. I didn't think too much of it while paying cause the difference wasn't big. I checked their website after and saw that they had replaced the mini pamper with renew&refresh. I guess they just raised their prices and rebranded the service. It wasn't a problem for me but was just a little confusing in the moment because they didn't notify me about the change when I was booking the appointment. I have gone here before and felt very relaxed after my massage. Unfortunately this time I walked away in pain rather than comfort. My masseuse wouldn't listen when I kept telling her that I needed a softer massage and that she was hurting me. My muscles are sensitive right now and instead of walking away feeling relaxed I walked away with a headache and pain. I woke up the next morning feeling like I was in a car accident.
