Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before I booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the receptionist was very friendly and courteous. First, our appointment was the first of the day, but I noticed staff weren't showing up until after we walked in. I would think you would schedule your staff to be prepared to start right at the appointment time. For the massages, I am for light because I am sensitive to too much pressure but it just felt like she was rubbing oil on my back. My boyfriend had the opposite experience and he said his masseuse was just digging her elbow into him the whole time. The ladies were super nice and friendly, but it didn't feel like they had any training so I give it a good review for the friendly attitudes and atmosphere, but the massages weren't worth it and we ended up regretting not looking at the reviews in depth prior to booking. read more

Decent place for a relaxing facial. I had a very rough week and really wanted a facial but it was very last minute and all my normal places were booked so I just yelped and made an appt. I will say this I did read about the extractions being way rough so when offered I said NO THANKS! I would say this is a very very basic facial nothing fancy and prob not really useful for true skin care BUT I really just wanted relaxation and I got that. nothing applied irritated my skin and it was a nice and long facial and upper body massage which was lovely!! again if you want more relaxation than truly skin centric not a bad place to unwind for 70 bux. the location is not fancy but again I mean the prices reflect that. Staff was friendly but I was not a fan of their scalp massage. I felt like she was scratching and shampooing my hair without water. I didn't mind at first but it continued for the next 10 minutes or so which felt like forever. I wasn't sure how to ask her to stop. I asked her to turn up the music so that I could be more relaxed and not hear myself breathing. She left and came back with the volume turned almost all the way down. I didn't fall asleep. Very nice place, friendly receptionist. Got a couples massage with a Groupon deal. However, the headline and the description mentioned "aromatherapy" as part of the massage experience. There was 1 diffuser in the entire spa, and it was on the front desk (couldn't really smell it either). No diffusers in the spa rooms, nor was there any massage oil containing anything "aromatherapy". We filled out the forms needed for our massage, but yet we both seemed to experience that the women didn't read our forms, as there didn't seem to be much focus on the areas we specified. I desperately needed some December stress relief and had a wonderful experience here. It's calm, quiet, smells wonderful and I felt immediate peace upon entering! So I am big on massage therapy places when I'm home on leave and I've forced to go the craptastic massage envys. Then I was searching again and this little gem popped up. Let me tell you something, this place was fantastic. The pressure was perfect, the room was perfectly lit, the relaxing music in the background was the right volume, the table was heated to the perfect temperature when I got in the room. Just what we needed after a stressful week! I spontaneously booked a couple's massage for my husband I not knowing what to expect except for a very reasonable price- $135 for a 1 hour couple's massage with hot stones. The decor of the spa is lovely, very clean & calming. Helen & Angel were fantastic!! We've had several massages at the pricey spas such as Glen Ivy, Burke Willams, Massage Envy but Glow Spa was better! After the ever so relaxing hot stone massage (our first time with stones-love it!), we were offered champagne, hot tea, water & chocolates to be enjoyed either in our dimly lit massage room or outside. We weren't quite ready to return to reality so we opted to partake of our treats in the massage room while wearing terry cloth robes which they provided. We felt soooo relaxed & pampered. I have been here twice, once with a Groupon for a Swedish massage and Vichy shower. The massage was just ok but I did like the shower very relaxing. While checking out, the girl at the front desk said if I would rebook that day she would honor the Groupon price of $45. I explained I wanted a deep tissue and was told no problem she had someone working the day I booked for that specialized in deep tissue. I showed up for my massage and a different woman is there and telling me the cost was $65. I explained I was offered the services at $45 the Groupon price, well we went around and around until I showed her the Groupon from my cell phone. She agreed to honor the cost... but you could tell she was not happy about it. The massage therapist was terrible. The massage was more like a rub down with oil and the therapists idea of deep tissue was to push/rub harder and at time was pinching my skin I could feel her finger nails. I was so disappointed... I went in with several knots in my back and neck and left there with the same ones. When I went up to the front desk I told the women that I was very disappointed and she just looked at me... never said sorry or asked why I was unhappy, so I turned and left and will not be going back. read more

I had a similar experience as the reviewer before me. I purchased a groupon deal, which I am glad, because I would never pay full price to go here. Pros: I really liked how clean and cozy this this spa was. The ladies working were very nice and the massage bed was warm when I laid down. Cons: I could hear people talking outside the door. At one point another employee walked in to grab something or put something in the room. Most importantly, the massage was just strange. I requested a deep tissue massage and I'm not sure what I got. She focused on my shoulders which I wanted, but hardly touched the rest of my back. I think she spent a total of 2 minutes per leg (front and back), which she did something on one leg but not the same on the other. She focused the last chunk of time on my scalp, which was not what I would normally request. I could see it being the last few minutes, but I would have rather her spent more time where I needed it. The massage therapist was very nice, but this is based only on the massage. They asked if I wanted to purchase another deal they had going and I couldn't. I have had many massages and I think this was one of my worst. read more

I have been here before and it was a nice place to receive a massage and relax, but alas that business had closed. It reopened a few months ago. I saw an ad in Craigslist for a $39 grand opening special. I spent the morning working out and then headed over to get a massage. I went in and forgot to mention the $39 special and was charged $60. I was shown to a room. Instead of just being draped with a towel. the masseuse pushed it tightly under my body as if putting on a tight bed sheet. She then used lotion to massage my shoulders, back and neck. She moved down and massage my calves and ankles. The actual rubbing was brief. Most of the time she just stood still and lightly pressed down with her hands. She would press for several minutes, and then move to another area. She then moved back to my neck and shoulders and repeated what she had already done. She got lotion in my hair as she pressed down on my neck as it was in the face rest. The hour was almost up so I told her to stop, wipe off the lotion and we were done. She used a wet towel to wipe up some of the lotion and left. I finished wiping the lotion off and got most of it out of my hair. She never massaged my hamstrings, gluts, or had me turn over so that she could massage chest and quads. It was a very poor incomplete massage. This is the worst massage I have ever received, and I have been getting massages for years. I will not recommend this place to anyone I will let my friends know to avoid this place. read more

When I mentioned that I had a Groupon she rescinded her offer of the appointment (even though there was more than one opening available), and told me they weren't accepting Groupons that day. I asked why her business was discriminating against someone who had paid for and intended to use a Groupon to which she stuttered through a reply, saying she'd been "advised against it." Why are you offering services through Groupon if you aren't willing to take customers who've purchased on that platform? Take your business off Groupon if you plan to reject customers who utilize the offer. This place is clearly pompous, uppity, and has poor business ethics. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Came here on a friday afternoon after a long work week. I was beat, sore, and tired...the ladies here took excellent care of me. I got a swedish 50 minute massage and a sugar scrub. OH MY how lovely it was. The massage was so nice and the scrub? Was a lemongrass green tea concoction that smelled as good as it felt. After a thorough scrub, I was rinsed and voila! Got a standard massage here with some girl friends celebrating a birthday and we all left a bit disappointed. Nothing alarmingly strange or terrible but just small details that could have enhanced our experience significantly. I don't mean to be ocd but I hate when massages are uneven from one side of the body to the other. My masseuse would massage one arm for 10 minutes then do the other arm for 4. It drives me nuts!!! Makes me think that they are either careless or haven't been trained appropriately. Parts of the massage was extremely painful and the masseuse wasn't very responsive to my requests to ease up. And finally, my masseuse used waaaay too much oil and I even had to request a towel to wipe off the excess at the end. And finally the owner would not let us use the groupons we bought because we came as a group and ended up paying full price. read more

My shoulders were pinched, my back hurting and I was tight all over. I got a deep tissue massage from Cathy and I was thrilled with my experience. Cathy was firm but not too hard and she hunted down every knot I had with a vengeance. I also agreed to a salt scrub which I didn't think I would like (I've had them before and they have been a little rough), but my skin feels so good and it was a great closet to the massage. I came here with a groupon type coupon for a swedish massage. The ladies were all very nice. They first place you in a dimmed, quaint room while they prepare your room. I usually opt for a deep tissue massage, but my geoupon was for a swedish massage and I didn't really feel like upgrading for $15. Well I'm glad I didn't upgrade, because it was the best massage ever! The woman gave me a "hard" swedish massage which was practically a deep tissue anyways - I loved it! She didn't talk to me very much except to check in as to how I was doing. I really appreciate that because I like to enjoy my massage, not talk the entire time. I was given a customer appreciation punch card on my way out which means that after 9 massages - you get a free swedish massage. Heck yes! I will definitely be back here. read more
