I scheduled a weave maintenance but a day after my appointment I had to pin my hair to keep it from falling out. Embarrassing. I got back from 5 day trip and luckily I found a stylist who could fit me in for a complete take down and redo. I thought I was clear as to what I needed. My braids were loose and falling apart. Hair was added to loose braids and some sort of tightening was done which wasn't tight at all. 3 tracks came out the next day. It was frustrating. I think Dee Dee is great for certain textures of hair and types of styles but the type of hair I'm using right now, she didn't seem to be able to install it properly. I wish her the best!

I showed her a reference photo, and she even pulled out her color book to confirm the exact shade. I clearly chose the color I wanted. When she finished, my hair was bright red not the shade we agreed on. She then told me she ran out of the original dye because I have a lot of hair, so she decided to use a different red without asking me. That was extremely upsetting. This is not my first time getting my hair done, and I know what I asked for. I told her it needed to be fixed and asked how much she was charging. She said $300. I was in disbelief and honestly started crying because I could not go to work like that. I felt unheard and very uncomfortable. While correcting it, she dyed my hair back to brown/black (close to my natural color), but she had an attitude the entire time. She was pulling my hair aggressively, and when I told her my scalp was burning, it didn't seem to matter. My head was on fire. At the end, she insisted I pay the full $300. I felt pressured and didn't want conflict, so I paid and left feeling worse than when I walked in. The owner was present the entire time and did nothing. My hair is long, but it isn't completely straight like most common Asian hair. My hair had gotten to the point where I really needed a trim to get rid of a lot of the split-ends, but I didn't have time to drive all the way into SF (where I use to live before moving to Hayward) just to visit my usual hairdresser/stylist. I contacted Lien via text and she was super responsive. I was also able to schedule an appointment with her the next day during the afternoon. Not only that, Lien is super nice and friendly! She listened to my concerns about my hair and made sure everything was to my liking before I left. Great person and great service. I will definitely be contacting Lien as my go-to from now on!
