Went to Laura for the first time today and my experience was AMAZING! She is located in a neat little building. There are plenty of signs once you get in the building and her address is visible from the street. I drove in from Oakland, and was so excited to find a place close to me. This was my 3rd time getting a Brazilian Wax, but my first with her. In the past my waxes have take FOREVER and were painful! But Laura was quick and painless! She got everything and did it all under 25 minutes. Laura is very friendly, professional and reassuring. She was constantly making sure I was comfortable and checking in with me. I told my girlfriend that I wanted her to get her legs waxed for my birthday. This was big deal! My girlfriend resisted, saying it would hurt. She has never had her legs waxed before. NOT AGAIN. First appointment was great. Arrived for my second of 3 appointments purchased through Groupon. With Laura's door closed and obviously with a client, I simply tapped on the door to let her know that I had been waiting for 15 minutes. She yelled at me through the door that she was busy and that I should just get a refund from Groupon which sent her and a female in the room with her into fits of laughter. I enjoy learning about new businesses and want support entrepreneurs as as well as keeping revenue in Alameda. After such treatment from Laura, I was hoping that she might have given the interaction some thought and try to save a client. Never happened. Super unprofessional. Highly recommend Laura! So far working wonders with my skin. I have moderate acne and lots of scars. We're doing the hydra light therapy (blue/red light) and I've only been twice but noticing a difference in my pore size and redness. She also uses mostly natural and organic products which I appreciate as I have skin sensitivity to harsh chemicals. I bought the package of 6 sessions, and looking forward to the end result! So I went here for the first time about a month ago and will definitely be going back. I expected pain and discomfort from what others have told me, but Laura is great. She's very accommodating.
