very unprofessiona, no one ever answers the phone nor do they return calls that are left on their voicemail. However, they do know how to be dishonest. They lied and told my home warranty company they came to my home and I was not there, Liar. I sat all morning and my daughter waited all afternoon and they were a no show. I have the video to prove it. Now do to them lying I have to wait until next week to get the request reassigned to a new service provider. American Home Shield assigned this company to fixed my refrigerator. Technician came on July 17 and left explaining he had to order parts. I saw no activity in system to find out they did not have experience to fix. They didn't report to AHS. A report was promised on July 25 after I called GM and AHS. It's July 28. No report. This company was sent to me through American Home Shield home warranty service. My request was sent on the 12th and they came out on the 17th with 2 technicians. They said that my appliance was not repairable and then never sent in the diagnosis form to AHS so now I am stuck waiting for another week to get my appliance replaced because AHS and myself cannot get in contact with Gm Appliance Service. I put in a service request through American Home Shield on October the 22nd 2024 I never heard from the contractor that was assigned to repair my refrigerator until two weeks later which was GM Appliances. It was after I contacted American Home Shield two weeks later that GM contacted me, they came out and said they had to order a part well almost another two weeks went by and again I had to contact American Home Shield. American homeshield contracted GM to repair my dryer. The technician came in and stayed no more than 5-10 minutes at the most and stated the issues with the dryer. It's been almost 30 days with over 20 calls (which all go straight to voicemail) and about 10 voicemail messages. I haven't heard from anyone. American Homeshield has made 2 attempts to contact the company on my behalf and they have not heard back either. This is extremely frustrating. I wouldn't mind the wait as much if I just heard back from someone. Even if I was told they didn't know. At a minimum, please answer the phone. Unfortunately, at this time I am unable to recommend this company. read more

Please do not use this company! American Home Shield had them come to my house to fix my refrigerator. They showed up and within 5 minutes Gavin claimed he knew what the issue was. He said they had to order a part. It took him two days before he worked with AHS to order the part. They came to my house a week and a half later and installed the part. They "claimed" resolved the problem. I asked if they were sure. They said yes, give it an hour and I will see that it's fixed. I told them I didn't want to purchase my groceries and have to throw them away because my refrigerator still isn't working. They guaranteed it would work. I wake up this morning and the same issue is happening. The refrigerator isn't staying cool/cold and my food is now bad. There was water on the floor from the ice melting from the freezer. I called GM appliance and some ghetto lady said we can't do anything but have someone come out on Monday. She says we don't work on the weekends. I tell her about my frustration from waiting 2 weeks and my refrigerator still isn't working. She said it's nothing she can do. I asked if I could speak to a manager about this. She tells me everything goes through her. She then tells me Gavin is the lead technician. If he's the lead and provided an inaccurate diagnosis, that's the problem. She schedules another appointment for Monday (3 days after they came and provided wrong information). They sent me a survey about the service from completing the job. I gave them a 1 and said they needed professionals that knew what they were talking about. The ghetto lady cancelled the appointment for Monday and said they won't be coming back. Please don't use them! They want your money but they don't have staff that are reliable or know what they are doing! read more

I had a service appointment this morning. The technician called from the car to say he was outside because it was raining. He was a man afraid of the rain. He entered and I asked where were the booties for his shoes. He looked upset. I informed him he should have had the booties in his hand to put on upon entering. I asked him to sign-in because there were children present. He told me my welcoming wasn't warm and left. A grown man walked out on a job because he felt I wasn't being nice to him and never made it past the front door. Incompetent, insecure, weak and highly unprofessional. read more

As an update, it seems that AHS is the real problem, not GM Appliance. I believe I had issues reaching them because the regular office person was out and they had some vm backlog. I spoke with Wesley last week and he told me the ETA for my part. On Friday, I spoke with the technician to ask him for an update and he gave more useful info. On Monday morning (today), they called and said he would be coming in a couple hours and we now have a working washer! Would have liked a little more/easier communication, but all in all it worked out and I don't want to fault GM Appliance for how awful American Home Shield is to deal with. read more

I have american home shield as a home warranty company. They contracted this company to repair my washer machine. The repairman came on 8/14/2020, as of this email it has been over a month, close to 2 months since the repairman arrived and stated that I needed part for my washer. I have called the company, as had american home shield and no one is able to get in touch with the company. At this point I am so over this company, and american home shield told me that I will have to be charged my fee again if I wish to have another company come out. AHS sent GM Appliance to repair my dryer. Based on the symptoms I thought it maybe the relay because if you push the start button it comes on but won't stay on without holding the button. These guys came it and within 5 minutes said it was the motor and it would take 7-10 days for the part. After two weeks without being able to use my dryer called them multiple times with no response. I contacted AHS and found out that they closed my ticket as complete! Worst service ever do not use this company!! read more

*I just went through the effort of creating this business on Yelp because it's so terrible, I hope you never have to work with them, and I wanted you to know* I had to work with them because AHS contracts through them for appliance insurance repairs. They are the worst; almost two months after the original scheduling and I am still trying to get a washing machine fixed. The technician misdiagnosed the issue with the washer, and every time they put in an order for a part, it would take another week to schedule the repairmen to come. There is so much more to cover to explain why they are so terrible, but hoenstly I can't be bothered to give them any more thought than necessary. My only recommendation is to NOT GO WITH THEM. If I could give them LESS than 1 star I would. One star is really a stretch. Tiffany, the lady who runs this is also inefficient and rude. Gavin and McKenzie were the technicians I got, in case you're stuck with them, Gavin is the one who has led to this dragging on and on and on. *UPDATE* It's been more than a month since they first came and we're 4 visits in, and they still have not figured out what's wrong with the washer. I've now asked AHS to put a complaint against them to petition for AHS to no longer work with them since they are ineffective. read more

I wish I'd seen the other reviews before AHS sent this company to my home. I submitted a service request on 8/5/2020 and today (10/5/2020), I'm literally on the phone with AHS to figure out why my washing machine has not been repaired. From what I can gather, GM Appliance place the order for the part needed and received the part on 9/10. I have yet to hear from them about repairing my washing machine. I've had AHS for 16 years and have never experiences such horrible customer service. read more

I hate I had to give them 1 star and that's extremely too much with the customer service they offer. I was given this poor excuse of a company by AHS for a repair on my refrigerator. They came out 2 days later the tech says he will be back on Friday or Saturday to make the repair. Then I get a call from the rude receptionist who wanna be a office manager that she can schedule me for repair on Monday. I asked to have the date the tech told us and she was not willing to stick to what the repair tech stated or called him to verify if that's what he said. After I challenged her and said I was calling the warranty company they never answered their phone for them or me since Thursday Until today which is Monday. And they still don't have an appointment til the next day. She was still with the poor customer service and my refrigerator still isn't fixed. I'd rather buy a new one than to have to depend on this company for any repair. The only recommendation I have for anyone trying to use this company is find another company. read more

I call me home owner insurance and GM show up at my door. Weeks went buy I did not receive any calls from this company. They order my parts and never came back to install. I called everyday 3-4 times a day left voice mails for someone to call return my call. Never less another African Americans company that's going around take people money. SMH read more
