Well Better Appliance finally got it right, we bought two full size stackable, first delivery washer left puddle, spoke to Mtg Mamun and he said he would replace, next set that came the door vent was coming off and you could actually touch the blue glue they used. Spoke to Mamun again and he said he would replace no problem. This time my husband picked the washer m/ dryer set which was less beat up looking than the second washer they were going to send. Third time a charm, delivery today and washed a load and so far no problems. Good customer service by Johan ( our salesman) and Shiraz (who took our situation seriously and articulated to Mtg. Hat goes off to Mtg Mamun for taking care of the situation right away. The deliveries guys were the best! So even though we had some mishaps I would still give this company a good rating. I will be back to write another review as time goes on as we use our set. Mamun even told us that if we had anymore problems he would see that we got a new set not refurbished...nice of him but after three tries it is expected ). Also forgot to mention we also bought a second refrig for basement, it's an older model but works beautifully and perfect for the basement! Good morning, I purchased a washer from Better Appliance approximately seven months ago. During the first week of use, the washer stopped spinning the clothes dry. I spoke with Taz at Better Appliance, and he arranged for a technician from the store to inspect the washer. The technician determined that the rubber belt was broken and repaired it. Seven months later, I am experiencing the same issue: the washer is again failing to spin the clothes dry. I called Better Appliance this morning to request that a technician come out and inspect the washer. The representative looked up my information in the system and advised me, per her manager, that my warranty has expired. I explained that I understand the warranty has expired and that I am not asking Better Appliance to cover the cost of any repairs under the lapsed warranty. However, given that this is a recurring issue with the same washer, and that your technicians are familiar with the appliances you sell, I expected Better Appliance to stand behind its products and assist in resolving this ongoing problem. Based on this experience, it appears Better Appliance is not concerned with customer satisfaction once a sale is made, and that customer service is not a genuine priority for this business. read more

How are companies like this allowed to operate with people working there that lie, cheat and steal? I was helped by Sam and he assured me that the washer was in great condition and yes it looked great but when I hooked it up and it ran water started leaking and I triple checked and it wasn't the hoses so what's the excuse? He was rude and shifty when I was talking to him so i should have known better but I moved in to my new apartment just for him to sell me junk. This is ridiculous and I'll never be back there. I can't even have it repaired because it's almost as cheap to find another. Don't trust that guy Sam. He's impatient and a frraud!!!! read more

They continuously advertise appliances they do not have. When you visit the showroom they give an excuse that the appliance your looking for was just sold and try to upsell you. Both the advertisement on Facebook and their own websites are misleading. read more

I had no problem with this company. I made the purchase and set up delivery. I had to reschedule and they made it easy for me. The delivery day came and they quoted me a time. They came an hour earlier and were done in 30 minutes. My laundry closet was on the 3rd floor and they got it up there with no problem. I appreciate it. read more

They had some great products to choose from that were well within my budget of $600 (including delivery and installation and a 45 day warranty). Went to buy a used electric dryer. Good price! That's the ONLY reason they got 2 stars. Delivery was supposed to be next day(Saturday) between 2-6pm. Showed up @730pm with a GAS dryer (not the dryer I paid for)! Called and talked to some guy and all he could say was,I didnt sell to you, the other guy did. I want my dryer! Next day, promised the right dryer would be delivered. 3 hours later, still waiting......not worth it for a good price....never again. read more

We purchased a supposedly functioning LG refrigerator from here. Three weeks after purchase the ice machine stopped working. I called the business and as usual they declined the call and said to text them instead (extremely unprofessional but I digress). They sent me a technician's number and name Ned and ofcourse he didn't answer or return my call. I continued trying to contact the business however they wanted to send the technician to my house at between 6-8 pm?! No. Finally the technician came after almost two months of back and forth only to say there's nothing wrong with the freezer. Yet my freezer continues to be covered in frost and the ice maker continues to either not work or get jammed. As hard as times are now, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND spending your hard earned money here. You're better saving or being overcharged by rent a center at least you know the appliances will work. read more

Despite the so many negative comments on the app about the business I must say I disagree with most comments. This was my first time doing business with them while I was searching for a high end washer dryer set. I didn't want to pay over $1000. I must say I visited the store three times to compare and view the young man was very helpful and patient. Once I made my decision and finalized my purchase I set up delivery after reading these horrifying comments about late or missing deliveries and poor customer service I got scared and called to share the reviews and asked that I do not have the same experience. On delivery day my purchase arrived in the promised window. The delivery guy was more than professional and careful bringing them in. He also took the time to set them up and check for working conditions, he received a nice tip. I will return for other kitchen appliances I am in the need of replacing and will update in product durability. I have a 90 day warranty on both but pray I will never need it and that they will last for a few years. read more

OMG where do I start? We really should be able to put zero star! I bought a refurbished refrigerator that did not work (we lost about $200 worth of food) because the freezer wasn't working. I asked for a replacement, but wanted to upgrade to a new one. It took about 6 weeks for a replacement, paid the another $400 for a new, (scratch and dent). bla bla bla, bottom line , I'm in $800 for a basic refrigerator, which replacement one is not new. I purchased 1st one in may, its now middle of august and I have a used (supposed to be new ) refrigerator that i'm not sure works yet. communication is horrible, ( they text more than they talk), they don't answer phone calls, and if you get to voicemail, their mailbox is always full. Save yourself a lot of aggravation, go to home depot or lowes and just buy a new one. read more

The customer service I received was very good. I bought a washer/dryer but then due to complications with my home remodel needed to have their delivery delayed. Mamun agreed to hold and deliver them whenever I needed. A few weeks later he quickly arranged delivery. The delivery/installation man was great as well. He got everything set up, was very pleasant and wore his mask the whole time. He made sure to test it and tried to problem solve issues. I got the sense that he really took pride in his work. I didn't end up keeping the set because there were issues with it, but they were very nice and fair in working to resolve the issue. read more

I won't buy from Better Appliance again. I was in a hurry to get a refrigerator for a rental property and have it delivered the next day. I picked one and agreed to the noon to 4:00 window -- with a 30 min call to me in advance of delivery. By 4:00, no delivery. So I called and spoke to one of the two owners (I think) who I worked with the day before. They dismissively said it was on the truck but he had 5 or 6 other deliveries. By 6:00, no delivery. I called the store, got the answering machine, and then a text saying the store was closed and I should call the driver. I called the driver and also sent a text back. I was then told my delivery window was 4:00 to 8:00 and that I "need to wait." Near 8:00 it was delivered, no call. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because I picked something and now I have it. Here is what I didn't like. The showroom is partly a warehouse that wasn't very well lit. The new and old appliances were mixed together. The inventory was crammed together and some of it was still wrapped, so I couldn't really see how much damage there might be. I thought I picked something with 3 scratches but I didn't see that it had 5 scratches and 2 dents. I didn't like text communication and it aggravated me even more. I would prefer talking to someone. The tenant at this property had to wait from noon till 8:00 to finally get the refrigerator. In the end it cost about $450 and I have purchased new refrigerators from a big box store for $550, which I'll do next time to have something that looks better -- even though the delivery may take a week. Overall, I felt the experience was unprofessional and too risky to ever do again. read more

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!.........Bought a washer and dryer set from these jokers. It was delivered a week later dirty and smelled of mildew. I cleaned them off and started the washer only to find that two of the legs were bent and couldn't be leveled so the washer sounded like it was about to lift off soon as it hit spin cycle After my house was done shaking I then put the clothes in the dryer only to find that the dryer wasn't heating. I called up the Applicance Shop and told them of the problem, They hung up on us, tried again and ignored our calls. The 60 day warranty is fake. I ordered some parts off of amazon and fixed the broken heating coil in the dryer. The dryer and washer ran for about 2 weeks before the motor for drum failed. Moral of the story, If it seems to good to be true it is. New washer and dryer will be here tomorrow good riddens. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. STAY AWAY. They tried to sell me something with obvious mold stains and smell. Telling me that "it's new". Since that salesman was pushy, I asked to only work with one salesperson. Though he was nice and most of my interactions with the other employees are cordial, I still don't reccomend this company. My main complaint is that I paid for installation, and they delivered aabut never installed my dryer. When the delivery person came, I was told that I was missing a piece, that I needed to go to home depot, and that he couldn't finish the install. I specifically asked, when I was shopping, if there was anything else I needed to buy for installation. I was informed no. In fact, they directed me to buy a double sided tape, which I did, and nothing else. The next day I went to Home Depot, and purchased the pieces that the installer directed me too. I then had difficulty installing it and remembered that I ALREADY PAID for instillation. I then called the original location, Maryland, and told them of my case. Employee then yelled at me. He then said that he specifically remembers telling me that I need to buy an extra piece. I told him no he did not. When he insisted, I told him I know that he did not tell me this since I specifically remember asking to no longer want to work with him because he made me uncomfortable and try to sell me a dirty washer. Once I rremindedhim who I was, he changed his tone. I then asked to speak to a manager and was told to contact the Virginia store because the manager works out of there. I called the Virginia location, and was told that the contractor will come back out to install the dryer the next day. I actually waited at home and no one came. I called them back the following morning and they where accommodating and said that somebody be will be out in two days. Waited at home again. No one came. I then call the store VA store again, attempting to speak to a manager, and was told that the contractor was delivering in Virginia, but he will be able to come to my home the next day. At 7pm the next night, I called the contractor directly. asking him what time he planned on coming. He then told me that no one told him that he needed to come out and finish the installation. I then call the store and they said that they will send him to my home in two days. Here we are again. He did not come last night . I have now waited for this person to come four times. That is four nights where I am waiting on something I paid for . Today, I called the Virginia location again and they said that they would call me back. I did not get a call back. After two hours, I called them to follow up and they did not answer. I since called them twice more, and it looks like they are screening their calls, because I have yet to receive an answer. I called the Maryland location twice and that phone also was not answered. I sent a text message, according to their Craigslist ad, and their response is that they will get back to me. Since this is unprofessional, and unethical, I feel like they stole my money. I wanted to write this review to warn you guys. Do. Not. Shop. Here. Please note that I will be filing with the Maryland AG Consumer Protection agency as well as the governing body in Virginia. They shouldn't be doing this to people. It's not right. read more

I will never use Better Appliance again for appliances. I have purchased a few used appliances from here from rental properties and usually do not have issues. However, on my last purchase, I could not get a scheduled time for delivery. The delivery man showed up with no notice on a Saturday evening to deliver at my rental unit. When I tried to schedule, I kept getting vague text message about they could call me 30 minutes before they arrived. When I asked for a block of time before 2PM, I was told they would arrive sometime before 2PM. I never received the 30 minute heads up call and received a text message at 1:57 stating they left the washer in front of my rental's driveway despite the fact that is now going to rain at any moment. No call. No nothing. I am only 10 minutes away at my office. This is the most unprofessional service ever. Especially as I have been a repeat customer. When I challenged this, the customer service was horrible. I was blamed for not communicating well when it is there service and they did not communicate their delivery times or call 30 minutes as they said they would. I paid for delivery and install and now have to get someone else to do at the last minute to avoid the washer getting messed up from the expected rain. read more
