Manager there is a joke I work near the area and always come in bc they have deals at all gnc and it seems like the guys mad over it & when he speaks on it the way he portrays it makes me seem like he's the CEO of the company. The employee closing on 2/26/25 started closing the store while I was in the store. Turned the lights off while I was trying to browse. Rushed me out of the store10 minutes before closing. Saw him walking out 5 minutes before closing. read more

Not impressed with this store. Guy that works there during week seems angry. I go into buy some creatine, I'm the only one in the store and he acts like it his laboring him to have to talk to me. Of course they don't have the GNC brand creatine powder that only costs like $14, they rarely have it in stock so they try to upsell you to something more expensive. Nope, I'll try another day. Come back today, Saturday at 12:30 in the afternoon, sign says closed, will return at 10. Huh???? Closed In the middle of the day on a Saturday?? What is going on with this store? Went in today, on Veterans Day no less, and was questioned by the manager whether or not I was a member of Trump or Putin's army while receiving my military discount. He then went on to say if I said Putin id receive a larger discount. After questioning him as to why he would ask that as it is extremely disrespectful, he went on a rant about how awful our current president is while questioning me "As a service member what the he$& has he done for you!"". As an Active Service Member of almost 20 years, this is the most disgusting thing I've witness in my time in. I will stop at nothing to ensure this incident makes it out to as many entities as I can. The manager here is basically one of the rudest people on earth. When you ask him questions, instead of being helpful & kind, he will make you feel absolutely stupid. He's lazy & makes it obvious that he hates his job. If you're unhappy, don't take it out on me. Every time one of his employees is helping me, he will literally interrupt to talk to them in the middle of our exchange. I've been going here for a while but I've now had two really bad experiences & frankly I will drive out of my way to go to Vitamin Shoppe before I'll come back here. Stay away. read more

You're better off on Amazon. Whatever you get here, just do yourself a favor and get it off Amazon. The robust gentleman that was working when I arrived, continued to sit in his chair until I was ready to check out. I'm not expecting to be waited on hand and foot, by any means, but it seemed more like he was annoyed that I came in to buy something because he had to get up out of his chair than the customer service he's paid to offer. Then, when I'm checking out, I specifically selected to be emailed and printed my receipt, yet when nothing came out and I verbally requested it, he responded with, "oh, yeah, I emailed it to you." First, I selected both, so for him to discuss my request and make the decision for me is rude and incredibly unprofessional. Then, he wouldn't even print it for me when I asked for it. Seriously?! Oh, and to really smooth the icing on the cake, he didn't even face me when he responded that he emailed it to me, because he was already on his way back to his beloved chair. I understand if he has a disability, because I've suffered from sciatica, so I get not being able to stand for too long, but is it really too Mich to ask to wait and look me in the eyes and tell me something instead of me hearing it as you're walking away and all I see is the back of your head? Oh, but GNC already got their money from my purchase so what does it matter to them anymore, right? Save your money. I guarantee you can find what you but from there cheaper from somewhere else and they'll treat you like an actual human being, with respect. read more

Whoever was working there 5/28/23 around the hours of 11-1pm when I went. My wife and I walk in and immediately this short guy with a "hey boss..what can I do for you boss..boss this boss that" script comes over and stands by the entrance as we were browsing. Then, the blonde woman at the register leaves the register to pace around the store circling around us the ENTIRE time we're looking for what we needed. Finally, when they were done being weird and harassing us, the girl came to ring us up and proceeded to try and push their "subscription" on me. I declined many times and finally she shut her mouth and finished ringing me up. I'm not sure how they train their workers here because this isn't the first time something like this has happened with these people. Only reason I was there was because my credit card company had a cash back deal for this place but my usual spot is NutriShop in Oxnard. Way cheaper, way more of a selection, and no As*holes. :) read more

Michael was great he had so much good information to share, and he was honest with me. I was really surprised with this visit because last time I came I didn't get the information I was looking for. But this gentleman really knew his stuff and he was so patient with me! unfortunately I have no idea what I'm looking for when it comes to becoming healthy, and I'm very indecisive. So, I never write reviews but I'm annoyed at the service I received here. I walked in and there were no employees in sight although I could clearly hear their personal conversation quite clearly in the back of the store. It didn't bother me at this point as I knew what I wanted and it was in plain sight. My goal was to get in and out within minutes. Well, I grabbed my items and headed to the counter. I saw the clerk standing at the back and made eye contact but no salutation was made. I patiently waited at least 5 minutes while the clerk chatted with what I only assumed was a coworker of the same level, about his education and income levels of their parents..."well,my dad made $120k last year and my mom crushed him and she has no degree."... Other employee, "really? I thought she was educated, like me!" This banter went on for a while and was starting to get quite annoying. Finally another customer came in and went straight towards the back and wahlah... The kid helped him and not me who was still standing at the damn counter. WTF?! I've worked retail myself, acknowledge both customers but the one who arrived first gets helped first! The other employee finally comes out of the back room and low and behold, it's a manager. A fucking educated overweight manager working at GNC... GNC! You want me to believe he knows what he's talking about when it comes to nutrition? I get that medical reasons could be the reason for his appearance but I'm annoyed at the customer service and the ignorance in their conversation at this point. Certain topics should not be discussed in the workplace no matter where you work and most certainly not in front of customers. I really wanted to tell the kid that it's not his business to discuss his parents income with other people especially his boss and he should be proud of his mom's accomplishments not put her down the way he sounded like he was doing. I am an educated woman but I understand there is a time and place for everything and a way to treat others and customer service should be priority in a place of business. And as for the manager, just because you're educated, doesn't mean you have class. Never once was I asked if I found what I needed, if there was anything I needed help finding. I've been to many GNC stores before and have received far better service. read more
