They have a great selection for the space that is allotted and I found all of my vegan options that I graciously desire. They have a great supply of vitamins and supplements as well. Lassens is my absolute favorite grocery store. The Oxnard location is small but mighty. If you need a bigger selection, I recommend the Ventura one. Lassens has the best health products: food, supplements, skin care, you name it! They do such a great job of curating a well thought out selection of everything here. You can't go wrong with what you buy. If you're new to shopping at health stores, don't be deterred by the higher prices. They have a great rewards program and they always have amazing deals throughout the store. I'm not sure if this is at every Lassens, but most I've been to have samples of products to try at the registers. It's a great way to try new products at low stakes. Honestly, Lassens walked so Erewhon could run. Lol but fr it's well priced, comparable health products, and not overly hyped so I'll stick to my beloved Lassens. My only complaints would be that the store is too small, a bigger location would be nice, especially in a nicer area. Support local businesses and your community. Shop Local. Plenty of parking. It is never crowded. They close at 7pm. They carry hard to find items that Whole Foods doesn't carry.. I love the produce at Lassens, I also love that they have raw milk. I know that sprouts has raw milk too but I definitely don't get the same kind environment that I do at Lassens. I like that I can find unique things there and it pushes me out of my wheelhouse to make more exciting dishes. So Lassens is definitely a great spot to try. I also go here for their green drinks and smoothies because I know they're organic. I love the Australian manager he knows his store and is great with his staff as well as His customers. I've shopped there a lot during Covid and he really went out of his way to help me find what I wanted and need it. I also got my turkey from them last year and it was fantastic. I felt so sorry waiting for all the people waiting at Whole Foods for their turkey because it was easy Peezy at Lassens! Great concept this store . Sadly the management must not expect customer service from those they employ . I came in specifically to the deli/hot bar "Gus" at the food counter was so curt & RUDE. He blanket statement that "his" people don't warm food up ever .. he'll make sure they understand that ! ??????? Weird thing to say . He seemed offended and put off by my request to warm up a deli item I wanted to purchase. He acted as if I had 3 heads . I'm not sure what's going on with this store.... So Not satisfied . Has most of the products you would expect to find at any lessens but the location is just downright pathetic! Why limit your revenue and reach by staying in such a tiny, ghetto location? I expect this is why they never have a good selection of meat, its just too small.. No deli or butcher. I literally drove past a man defecating in the parking lot as i was leaving. I see vacant spots around port hueneme and Channel Islands harbor that I know would be a much better suited location for Lassens plus there is a serious lack of healthy stores in that area and the residents would be thrilled. I don't know if the owner just doesn't care or what the deal is but it makes no sense to me to have a Lassens there, no matter how long it's been there for.. I'm sure the existing customers wouldn't mind driving to a nicer place even if it's just a bit further away for gods sake, man even the employees seem extremely JADED and not too excited to be there I walk in to the other locations and people are happy, all smiles! Not here lol Anyways they have some good stuff because it is, after all, a Lassens store. This is a cool natural foods store where you can find products and food which are not readily available at normal markets and supermarkets.. it's the only place I can find fresh turmeric root! They also have a million varieties of kombucha and any probiotic you can think of. The staff is also very helpful.. the Oxnard location is not the prettiest and unfortunately they don't have a juice bar like the newer, fresher, bigger looking one in Ventura, but I do believe this location is the original one. I used to live in Los Feliz (east Hollywood) where they have a location and I thought that was the original, but I was set straight by the staff who is very proud of this original location! If you want good, organic, wholesome food and products and hard to find health items, definitely check this spot out. read more

While I wholeheartedly support their right to contribute to whatever political cause they desire, I'm never setting foot in this store or the Ventura store again. I can't give a dime to people who support discrimination. But it's no big loss, as I didn't care for the store much anyway. I went to the one in Ventura a few times, but got such an unfriendly vibe from it. I still can't put my finger on what bugged me about it, but I just felt like the staff was condescending to wait on me. On one trip, I stood at the deli counter while two workers stood and chatted, ignoring me completely. When one finally deigned to wait on me, he acted like I'd asked him for money. Another time, the cashier was flirting wildly with the guy in front of me, keeping him talking long past the time his transaction was through. Terrible customer service, and the selection is just as good as Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. read more

This is a tiny store, and it has nearly every supplement you can think of. I like it here. I like to grab a kombucha- best price around, and a snack. I haven't come here often, but when I have, staff was polite and extremely knowledgeable. Pretty good stuff, a bit pricey, but it's local. Don't care for the owner's view on supporting discrimination. Don't think the workers should suffer, but for the similar reasons I don't shop Wal-Mart. Can find lots of health foods and supplements otherwise I'd have to drive quite far to get.
