The service was efficient and the woman behind the counter walked me through the smoothie offerings. I opted for a green smoothie that I believe had dates and banana. The ordering process is a bit confusing for a first timer --a receipt is given after the order is placed, and it has to be taken to the front of the store to pay. Then, it is marked paid and a person is able to go back to the smoothie bar/cafe to pick up the order when it is ready. While waiting for my order, I looked around at the grocery/market portion. Some of the items looked interesting, but it was unusual not to have prices listed. I'm pleased that I was able to support this local business and will keep this in mind as an option for healthy, on-the-go purchases when in this area.

My husband and I were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a gluten free lighter option before a spa day. I'm so glad we found Green Grocer. It was packed. Not an empty seat in the place around 12:00 on a Saturday. We did have to circle around for parking as well, but only had to walk a short distance from across the street. I got a drip coffee with blueberry waffle flavor and cream. The coffee was very good. I believe they use Collectivo. The gluten free raspberry financier was even better. It was similar to a Madeline cookie, but larger and raspberry in the center. I would drive back just for the pastry. We also got sandwiches from the deli and two fountain drinks from bar. I loved my build your own turkey and Swiss with sprouts, lettuce, tomato's pickle, onion, mayo, mustard, and sub sauce on gluten free bread. The bar service was great too. I definitely recommend Green Grocer for sandwiches and coffee, especially if you want to avoid the craziness of downtown Lake Geneva. Seems like the locals know this place is fantastic as it was non stop busy.
