I wanted to leave as soon as I got in. Chaotic menswear area full of sales racks pushed against new drops, and it's tough to find sizes vs color options of recently released clothing. The mens area isn't small, but it always feels cluttery toward the back when I visit, and only a small segment of what they offer online is in the store. I came here looking to get a few new running tights. I appreciate that staff is around to answer questions but they are not in your face. Note that a lot of styles they sell only online so if you don't see something in store, ask! I was hoping to for "tight stuff" tights which have these cute scalloped bottoms. The manager said they didn't sell these anymore but was able to help me find some leggings in the same material. One less star because I feel like their return policy is overly strict. Clothes have to be returned with tags on and unworn. After one wear I realized that the "all the right places" tight became falling down constantly. Apparently he had a typo and typed my address wrong. The pants were delivered somewhere on my block. she never asked me to confirm the address never gave me a printed receipt. I came here with my wife for a special event. I had never worn or even tried on anything from Lululemon. At the special event I won a free item of my choosing. The staff was very friendly and educated me on the Lululemon brand as well as popular pieces that they normally sell. I tried on several items till I decided on the workout shirt that I wanted. To this day, I can say it is one of my favorite shirts that I own. It is so versatile, whether I'm working out, wearing it as an undershirt, or wearing it out casually. I can definitely notice the difference in quality from other workout shirts. The staff was quite knowledgeable and I love how Lululemon promotes such an active lifestyle for their employees. Love the product hate the service. I shop to avoid the stress of everyday life. I like to be helped and shown new items. I also appreciate being checked on in the fitting room. Neither of these happened on my visit but what really upset me was having to listen to a male & female employee conversation about late nights at lulu while I was trying on clothes. I felt like I was at a frat party not shopping at a boutique. I bought some things but it was because of the product NOT the service. Walked in to check out any new items and brought my mat to exchange. There were a few associates around the floor but nobody cared to offer their help. Even at the register, the lady was talking to someone from Cyclebar and other were talking to each other. So I agree with other reviews the service is not all there. I did ask a guy to help me and he did but he did not give his name and there is no name on the receipt either. It was Sunday morning to it wasn't busy. I got what I wanted and I was on my way shop some more. I hope this mat works since the last one did not do so well, but now that I am looking at the description it says to get the yoga towel, the sales guy did not mention that, I would have bought it there if he did. read more

I like lululemon products but the customer service is horrible here. It reminded my why i enjoy online shopping way more. There were plenty of staff working, but none of them were friendly or even cared to help. I also overheard them make snarky comments about another customer. I'm not sure how they got great reviews here- maybe their friends wrote them. This manager at this store was great! The customer service was awesome and makes me trust the brand of Lululemon. I got a stain on my new shorts that I purchased online a few days ago and brought the shorts in last night. I already took the receipts off of the shorts and the manager was gladly to exchange the shorts for a new pair. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I usually love this lululemon. It's clean and has a lot of great options to choose from in terms of clothing. However, I ordered online and did a pick-up in store. When I go to this Lulu, they had told me someone already picked up my order. Mind you, you need an ID to pick up your order to make sure the order is actually yours. In my case, the lululemon staff here let someone else pick up my order and said that there is nothing they can do about it. I spent good money on my order, just for the lululemon staff at this location be careless and give it away. Don't trust them with your items. In addition to this, they wouldn't even help me figure out what to do about my situation and instead shooed me off. I even asked them to check cameras and they refused. Idk if they are lazy or what. Another great experience at Old Orchard's Luluemon! I came to the store to buy my sister her Christmas present and was overwhelmed with the number of options. One of the employees, Colleen, was quickly there to help me out and was very kind and friendly. I explained to her what I was looking for and showed her a picture on my phone (I didn't know the name of the product). She could easily and knowledgeably identify the product while giving me useful details like similar products I could confuse it with and minor distinctions. Colleen stayed with me to look up what I was looking for and confirmed with me it was the product, checked to see if it was in stock, and provided me options for ordering. Colleen successfully informed me with accurate information and I followed through with the whole order. I appreciate her help and warmth. At places like these, it might be easy to feel self-conscious about being unfamiliar with the products or your level of athleticism, Colleen was informative, resourceful, and inviting. read more

I have visited this store many, many times and have never encountered bad customer service, ever. If anything it at times is over solicitousness. The staff is so awesome if they see you with a couple of items in your hand, they're very quick to take them off your hands and start you a fitting room. I am always greeted when I walk in, a pleasant thank you when I leave. The return policy is very pretty much 14 days unless it's a final sale item. The staff is always approachable and they have even called other stores for me if I'm looking for an item they don't have in my size! I had such an amazing experience here today ! Armando was phenomenal. He is the one person I will always go to for now on when I need help or any advice. He is so knowledgeable when it comes to ALL lululemon clothing. This whole time I've been shopping at Lulu I've been buying the wrong Size all along and Armando convinced me to try on a size I would never think twice too and so when I did I was shocked. I called before coming into the store to see if I could bring my very quiet and friendly dog named Peanut. The person on the phone was really sweet and said I could most definitely bring him in! I wanted to get my pants hemmed because they were too long. I walked into the store and one of the employees loved Peanut and petted him. I think Peanut liked the attention. I was then taken to a dressing room and changed into the pants that needed to be hemmed. I stood on a stool in front of the mirror and an employee quickly took measurements and gave me a ticket to give when my pants are ready. Overall, I found the employees to be very pleasant, welcoming, and down to earth. I appreciated their service and positive attitudes. I am going to give this store the benefit of the doubt. Maybe, just maybe, when they first came to the Chicago area they were semi-decent with customer service. I am one of those individuals who has lots of "disposable" income, so I went here with my 20-something niece. I was ready to drop some serious cash at this store, but you know what, the customer service was so awful that I thought NO F-en way am I going to spend several hundred bucks here when I can go to Fabletics or other places that offer excellent customer service. We were completely ignored when we walked in the door. We walked into this store on a Friday afternoon. No one greeted us or cracked a smile or said "May I help you find anything" or "Do you need any help" or "Hello" or "Hi, how are you today." There were two employees at the front area. One young blonde lady behind the cash register didn't even look up from her cell phone. I guess she was too busy sending a text and making plans for her weekend. The other employees were too busy talking with each other to really notice any customers entering the store. In fact, I predict that this store will close in the future and will not be here five years from today. My niece was there to purchase a bag (not even real leather) for her books when she heads back to college in a few weeks. She dropped $128 for the bag. When I asked my niece if anyone approached her to ask her if she needed any help. She said, "No, not at all." She tried on several yoga pants and three tops. She had plenty of cash to purchase these items -- and other stuff -- but in the end she was turned off by the stand-offish and snobby attitude of these employees that she decided NOT to purchase the three tops and two yoga pants. Maybe at one time the employees used to treat their customers with respect. Maybe at one time they had great customer service. Maybe at one time they cared and were happy to have a job. I guess this is NO LONGER the case, because we didn't receive any customer service. Non-existent really. I purchased two cool headbands that are slip proof ($12 each). The employee at the register never informed me that ALL THEIR SALES ARE FINAL and nothing can be returned here. WTF! When the cashier rang me up she said, "Your total comes to ......" and that was all. No "Thank You for shopping with us today" and no simple "Thank You" or "Have a good day." Most of the employees were hanging out in the back (near the dressing room area) sounding like the teacher on Charlie Brown "Wa, wa, wah, wah, wah, wa, wa!" Customers were standing there waiting to try on tops/bottoms, but these employees proceeded to ignore the customers, continued to have a conversation, finish the conversation and then decided to ask customers, "Do you want to try those on?" WTF kind of customer service does this store have? At this Lululemon the customer does not come first, and the customer does not count. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! If I am going to spend $80 to $100 on yoga or running capri pants then I expect excellent customer service. In fact, I expect them to kiss my ass and cater to my every whim. Will I go back again? Absolutely not. This store is AWFUL! As I indicated earlier in this review, I have plenty of disposable income and was ready to drop some serious $$$$$ at this store. In the end, due to the crappy customer service, which is non-existent, I took my business to my on-line "go to" store for yoga and running gear. THEY HAVE VERY, VERY STRICT RETURN POLICY, so you better ask (because they are not going to tell you about it). BEWARE OF THEIR STRICT RETURN POLICY! I was so excited to see this store open at Old Orchard because it was so close to home, and I was tired of driving up to Northbrook Court. I have been buying lululemon clothes for years and was a big fan until recently. I purchased two workout tanks and the wonder under crop last week. When I wore the no limits tank for about 20 minutes, my shoulders began to hurt from the straps digging into the skin. When I got home from my workout, I looked in the mirror and the straps had rubbed my skin so badly. There were painful red marks across the backs of my shoulders. I have been working out for years with all sorts of tight fitting tops, and I have never had one hurt me so badly. I thought I would just return it for something different since this was a special circumstance. I went to the store and was rudely told that no matter what your story, they will not take a return if you have the tags off and have worn it. I called their corporate offices with the same result. I'm very disappointed in their customer service. I'm an Athleta girl now. Yes - I do have to drive up to Northbrook, but it's worth it. They have the "try it for a work out" return policy, and I've never had any problems with their customer service. read more

I was guaranteed "12/24/19 by Midnight delivery" by two sales associates if I purchased out-of-stock items from them right then and there on Sunday, December 22! I thought it might be a stretch but both associates convinced me otherwise. Not their fault; they were following what they were trained to do. I don't fault them. I chatted online with Maryam from Customer Care on 12/23/19 who told me that I should not cancel my order as it is "without a doubt, going to arrive on Christmas Eve." Well, guess what? Not only did neither gift arrive as guaranteed, "corporate" Lululemon had the audacity to blame Federal Express for the delay! I spoke again with Federal Express today and they apologized for the delay but explained, as I told Lululemon customer service over and over again on Christmas Eve to no avail: "Lululemon selected 'Home Delivery Service" which equates to 1-5 business days for delivery. Lululemon did not select overnight service with a specific delivery date of 12/24/19." Lululemon screwed up; the lack of professionalism for not being honest about its internal screw-up is egregious itself, but couple the dishonesty with the attempt to point the finger at the shipper it chooses. Nice work, Lululemon. Your employees should be so proud! read more

The people working there are very friendly and always ask what I'm buying for and just always seem to have a smile on their face! My only problem is that they always run out of my size by the time that I get there at the end of the week! I love Lululemon clothes! The employees are just so rude and snobby. While I was looking at the leggings, I was looking at a pair of leggings and I tried them on and they were a bit big so I sized down in a size. I asked an employee if she could help me find it in a size down. She looked at me up and down and said "oh okay" then she brought out the size and when I came out of the dressing room she asked to take it back because she assumed I didn't want it and when I said it fit she seemed so surprised. Wow, what a definition of a stereotypical judgmental sorority girl. She had blonde hair. Also, she was probably at least a size 10 in pants but barely fitting into a 4 to make it seem like she had a butt but no, she had no figure at all but wearing the smaller size she had on made it seem like she does. It took a 45 minute walk through the ice and snow to only be left feeling extremely disappointed and disrespected with this location. It all started the day before when I came to this location and asked the worker by the fitting room a question. I have a very minor hole on the knee on a pair of classic leggings and wished for a possible solution. The worker at the time, Rob kindly suggested the solution of a patch, which I was fascinated by. However, he also warned me that some people when they receive a patch end up with further complaints. With this in mind, I was thankful for Rob's advice and decided to keep thinking about it. The next day, today, I went back to this exact location and asked if it would be possible to get a patch for the exact same pair of leggings I had the day before. Unfortunately, the amazing worker Rob, was not there and instead these two girls said it was not even remotely possible to make a patch because they don't have the machine or materials even though the day before Rob had the machine and materials for the patch prepared in 2 minutes. Therefore, the service at this location today was lazy, and very dissatisfying and disrespectful. The two girls in charge of hemming and the fitting rooms were rude and implied that I was dumb for even asking for a patch. Overall, this was an awful experience with Lululemon. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. To establish some background about my experience, my dad is a retired naval officer (with 21+ years in the service) and still works for the navy as a civilian. My mom was purchasing $200 worth of clothes here (on July 4th weekend) and asked to use military discount. They saw that the clothes were not for a woman, and asked who she was purchasing the clothes for. After she told them that she was purchasing them for my brother (her first son), they told her she's unable to use the discount because the clothes weren't for her, and that the discount is only for the military members and their spouses. After talking to a manager, he said that since the clothes are not directly for her, she's unable to use the discount. Way to honor and respect military members on 4th of July weekend. They are lucky I was in another store, or else we would have had some physical confrontation about the way they were talking to my mom. read more

I'm really bummed that the Evanston store closed, since the service there was always great and the employees were aways really friendly. This store bears no resemblance whatsoever to its predecessor. I came in to exchange a pair of shorts for a different color, and not only did the store not have any other colors in my size, but the employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. Evidently if you don't look like a black Amex-wielding North Shore mom, you get ignored here. I'm done shopping at Lululemon after my experiences here. The employees never seem to know when they'll get anything in stock (which is a general problem with Lululemon), they never have anything in stock in my size, and they're generally rude. Plus, Lululemon won't ship an item to you from another store, which means that if they're out of stock of what I want (which they perpetually are), I would have to drive to Northbrook to go get it.
