When I went back into the store to let her know that I had fallen, I was shocked by her response. I had broken glass from my drink all over the ground, and there was a genuine safety concern. Customers or their pets could have easily walked through the area without realizing there was broken glass and could have been seriously injured. I even had pieces of glass on my own skin that I had to brush off. Instead of asking whether I was okay, whether I had been injured, or whether I had glass on me, Clarita immediately told me that I would have to purchase everything again. Given that I had just fallen, was physically shaken, and was dealing with broken glass, I found her response extremely insensitive and upsetting.
