    It is time!!!

This place is absolutely wonderful! How did I not know it was here sooner!!! I had an absolute blast!!! I went by myself but met people as I went through the course. My experience of bonding with new people as I went through the course lead me to believe that this place would make for a spectacular corporate outing. I will definitely be bringing a group of friends here in the near future and so should you!

Incredible experience! Not for the weak or faint of heart, does take some strength and agility. Great fun!

We had a fantastic time here. The workers at Go Ape did great at providing instructions on how to stay latched onto the course and how to land during zip lining as this is not the usual zip line you might be used to. I had a small incident where I jumped a bit too far back during one of the Zipline courses and fell off the platform but luckily I was latched on and one of the workers told me to place my feet back on the area. This course is for those who are more in shape and athletic as you are using your upper body strength for at least 2.5 hours the entire time. There are a total of 5 courses. Everything is taken at your own pace with options of difficult or extreme and it is a self guided course tour with the workers walking around at the bottom to make sure things are going okay. Overall I did feel safe just felt exhausted after finishing. They do have a kids course too which we saw a bit at the end which is good to know for those who may want to bring their kids. Indoor restrooms are available onsite, there are water stations at each course, gloves are required and can be bought at GoApe.

I have been a quite a few just ziplining parks. This one offers a couple of good additions to be "just ziplining". With the trolley system, your group is allowed to be independent and travel at your own pace. You don't have to wait for your staff member to be your source of entertainment. This also allows your group to switch order and chat with each other and share the adventure. Most "events" have two paths which you can take - extreme or moderate. This allows your group to stay together and enjoy the park even if you have people of different levels or courage levels. You can also repeat events and prolonged your adventure. My group of 6 took 3 hrs to complete our adventure bc we did repeat some events. My favorite events - zipline (of course) and the Tarzan swing.

Tons of fun was had. We did the smaller 1 hour Tree top adventure but this was great for our family. The staff was super friendly. The only reason we didnt give 5 stars would be when calling ahead I was never informed that we had to purchase gloves separately. And she gave us a couple some other misleading info. But staff on-site was wonderful. And all in all the time spent was very memorable. We will be back!

We had a great time and definitely going to come back again! I also made a vlog about my GoApe Adventure here if anyone want to check it out! https://youtu.be/HaTwZZy82ik

I had an amazing time at goApe.... it was a first for me and it helped me with my fear of heights. The instructors were very helpful and encouraging and there for you the whole time. The only negative was that zone 3 was closed for construction, and they didn't give a discount on the tickets due to that inconvenience.

Go Ape was definitely full of fun! It was my first time zip lining & completing an outdoor obstacle course. Booked online & then found a coupon code. (Use 'Insta' for 10% off) Called & they applied the discount even though it was after my initial booking, which was nice. Then, I called again the morning of & changed my appointment time. No hassle customer service, two thumbs up. Now for the thrill! I was nervous at the start of the day. They give a thorough run down of the how to hook yourself up with the harness. I'm not gonna lie. At the beginning of the day I thought it was a lot to remember & feared I'd fall off the zip line if I didn't remember one of the many steps. But, they have a mini zip line at the start of the course. This allowed me to practice hooking myself up & I felt comfortable before starting the real thing. There are 5 obstacle courses, all which end with a zip line. The obstacles get more intense as you proceed. But, the reward is so sweet ..longer & higher zip lines. It was a fantastic view & waaay too much fun. The prices are reasonable for a full morning/afternoon of excitement. I only have 1 real complaint. There are no more than about 10 people who start the course at the same time. I imagine they start a new group of people every 30 minutes. Well, there were many times where we would catch up to the next group..causing us to have to wait for them to finish that course before we could even start. It took us 4 hours to complete the course, but it could have been closer to 1.5 hrs without all of the waiting. My advice, start each group at least 1 hour apart. Should you Go Ape? You'd be missing out if you didn't!

Took my wife on an anniversary date....a little breakfast, then some time swinging in the tree's! We had a blast....it's nice to find something for active people to do in a Midwest town, that doesn't involve watching other people play sports. The obstacles are fun, your always tethered in, so climb on!

One of the obstacles is to crawl through this, while suspended in air.

This place is fantastic and so much fun! Be forewarned: this isn't JUST zip lining -- it's obstacle zip lining! Meaning, you will be completing obstacles, total of five courses, each with their unique obstacles, and each course has its own zip line at the end -- when you've finished the obstacles. Consider it your reward! The zip line takes you to the next course. The obstacles range from novice to expert, some of the times you can choose if you want to take an easier or tougher route and the signs will point that out for you. For all the obstacles, you are suspended in the air and it will be workout -- prepared to be sore or possibly lightly bruised, depending on how you handle the ropes and obstacles. When you book your time to come visit this place, it will take between 2.5-3.5 hours, so plan accordingly. The instructors do an excellent job of training and walking you step-by-step through the safety process and how to properly complete the obstacles and zip line. The training class takes about 20-30 minutes and then it starts to get repetitive after you have to keep doing it. So if you're a slow learner, that's okay! You'll have to keep doing it on each obstacle that it will become muscle memory. The training staff is fun, personable and knowledgable. Also, they are patent with repeat questions and peoples phobias of heights, but are reassuring and follow you through it all -- keep in mind, they won't be next to you, rather below you watching you up top, but will answer an questions you have during the courses. This place is located in the beautiful Swope Park (where the KC Zoo is) and has stunning views of tree lines and a nice green scenery. which is a bonus when you're zip lining through the serene trees. I can't wait to come back and do this again.

    We finished!

WARNING: Do NOT waste your money here -- this business is a total scam!…read more I bought Groupon vouchers last winter for a specific family outing, only to discover later that the business was completely unresponsive. No one answered the phone, their website showed no available dates, and out of frustration I even drove an hour to their location--only to find nothing happening. A month later, I received an email stating they were "closed for the winter." Nowhere -- not on the Groupon listing, their website, or their voicemail -- did they mention being seasonal. When I tried to use my vouchers later, they refused to honor them. Even worse, the operators openly admitted that they continue to sell Groupon vouchers during the winter to "boost sales," fully knowing they're closed and that customers can't use them. That's deceptive and unethical. Bottom line: This company hides behind Groupon to take your money and then refuses to stand behind their product. Avoid them entirely -- don't fall into the same trap I did!

She was friendly nice and informative providing me with the details on how to enjoy this venue. Directing me to the various payment options she informed me about a $15 four hour special that I immediately took advantage of. Thank you for having that special. I had a real blast because of that. There was an awesome pinball area with many fun and interesting pinball machines. Pinball machines are super fun. I want to be clear that I loved spending four hours enjoying this arcade. Some of the machines seemed to be under disrepair. While I was there, other people seemed to be enjoying their time with their families. Even with machines not in the best condition I found ways to enjoy myself. When I found a game that wasn't working as intended, I enjoyed looking for what was different about it, then looking for a different way to enjoy the experience. Understanding and being patient with people is important to me. This business is ran by people. I understand that people want to do good and try their best. I know people need the care and attention so they can know what is good and right. Another way I was able to enjoy my visit despite the state of machines is to look for more than one perspective. First perspective for the broken machines is that the staff doesn't care about fixing anything. I refuse to stop there so I look for another perspective. Second perspective is I noticed a help wanted sign in the window while walking in. Also much of the staff seem young (COVID generation) so maybe they don't know what to do. Maybe there's no one skilled/trained enough to repair the machines and the staff is doing the best they can with the knowledge they have. Thank you Power Play for allow me to visit your business. 0:-)

According to the sign they open at 11 but apparently someone forgot to unlock the doors. We bought a package that included gameplay cards plus pizza and drinks. Since we were the first ones there, there was no one in the place for a good half hour. Some of the rides and attractions were not open however we found after looking at all the games plenty to do. After about an hour the kitchen opened and we were able to order our pizza. While we waited the 30 minutes for it we played a few games. One entire soda machine was out of service and it was the one with the diet soda options. The tables were dirty as well as the floor, which was surprising since it had just opened. Employees were either on their phones or chatting with other employees A few of the machines did not function properly, but when I told the girl at the front desk, she credited me back. The building appears to be aging and not well maintained. We left after two hours.

Did that and stopped at the booth/hut. Staff stared at me until I rolled down my window to let them know I had up close parking. Was waved to a little lot super close to the booth that was farther away than the regular parking. It was nice for getting out but people who parked in the regular lot were closer and got to the front faster than we did. Getting into park. We were standing at the Fast Lane desk, waiting for the park to open. Divided and conquered to send one person in to ask about them, person inside said they would do fast passes. Got out of line, went inside they said "No I am coming outside." Got fast pass and headed for the Riptide Raceway. Fast pass not needed as there was no line. Lifeguard at the top was so nice. Giving us tips, was nice when my kid let go of the mat and they had to call for a lifeguard to go down the slide to get it out. This ride uses a foam mat with plastic handles in the front. Rode Aruba Tuba. It drops you off into Coconut Cove which is the kiddie pool (3 feet deep everywhere except where the ride drops you off) this pool was closed as they were doing lifeguard drills. Staff was pretty rude about not allowing you in the pool. Seems they should have finished with training/drills prior to open but what do I know. This ride has 2 person tube or single tube. Typhoon was closed. Sad as it was my favorite ride when I was a kid and I wanted my kid to experience it. Used fast pass for Hurricane falls. We were the only ones in fast pass lane and we got on super quick. Ride was meh. One at Hurricane Harbor in STL was more fun. This ride needs multiple people working it. The poor lifeguard had to walk out of the pool, grab the raft from the lift, bring it to the pool, hold it steady, load passengers, help them push off, then repeat. Ride operations would have been improved by 2 lifeguards. Did all 3 slides on Shark's revenge. The purple one is completely enclosed, dark and has glowy lights. These are tube rides where you can ride a 2 person tube or a single tube. I rode 1 of 3 of Predator's plunge. Red was closed and I rode orange. Allegedly yellow is "slower." These are the slides where you stand on a ledge, they close the plexiglass cover (like a coffin) there is a robotic countdown then you are dropped down. This is a body slide vs using a tube or raft. Kidlet spent lots of time in the wave pool and checked out Captain Kidd's even though some of the slides on there were closed. We skipped: Caribbean Cooler, Crocodile Island, Flamingo Beach club (21+) and splash island. Did not purchase food or snacks. Tried to use our Icee plan. Staff refused to help us. Said we had to go to guest services. Guest services stated staff lied and they can help us and to go back, tell them or look for a supervisor. I chose to go to a different area to get an icee and had no issues. We had 2 icees while there. Pina colada for me and cherry for kidlet. The lockers here were much better (they could be kept open until you were ready to close it) although the locker we had was located in a row with a huge puddle. I was surprised they did not send someone over to sweep/squeegee the water away. They had one water bottle refilling station on the men's restroom but it did not work. The person at the icee hut let me fill my water bottle there. We made it longer at this park than HHSTL (5 hours vs 2). It was fun to revisit a park from my youth and take my kid. If in the area again I would go back, even though this park will no longer be on my Six flags pass as they were purchased and are under the management of Enchanted parks now. Lots of room for improvement with guest interactions but was an enjoyable day.
