Our landscaping company sub-contracted with Brilliant Electric to run a dedicated circuit to the back yard. They were very flexible and quickly accepted a change order to also run a high-amp circuit for a potential hot tub later on down the line. They worked some magic to run the conduit in a tight space under, without having to open any finished sheetrock, which saved us a lot of trouble. We were so happy with their work, we asked them back to install a NEMA 14-50 receptacle for EV charging. They don't normally service at least our portion of San Francisco, but they made an exception for us, which was awesome. This work was also done quickly, and to perfection. After treating ourselves to a Tesla, we quickly realized we needed a better solution than the trickle charge we were getting through the standard 120 wall outlet. There are tons of electricians around the area, and I went with these guys from a referral from a buddy. I was able to get the price my friend got, even though it was a year old price. Pretty awesome as I got quotes as much as $1,000 to install a simple NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage. I get it, maybe it's a "Tesla tax" as they call it, but glad these guys aren't out to price based on what they think their clients can afford. Cause I tell you. It's because of buying this Tesla that we need to cut back in other areas. While waiting for our Tesla to be built, we got an email saying they were offering 20% off of open estimates. Score! Jackson and Josh were great. They installed a line needed for our tankless water heater. Our given target arrival time was 8am - 10 am, and they arrived at 8:10. I joked with Jackson that I lost a bet as all the other given arrivals were usually much closer to the later rather than the earlier time. Go Brilliant Electric was able to come out to my house and install a NEMA 14-50 within 24hrs of me calling. Josh was very knowledgeable and patient. The job was supposed to be a quick 10-15 min job but after arriving he pointed out that I was missing the electric box cover where the the NEMA 14-50 was supposed to go. He patiently checked the breaker box make to sure the home was wired correctly which it was, and was able to determine the builders must have drywalled over the box cover. Josh went down the road to Home Depot, picked up a tool to help him trace the wire in the wall and was able to cut a perfect size box in the drywall, pull the wires through and install the outlet. I have encountered several electrical problems with outlet and switches while replacing receptacles myself. It sounds easy but when coming to figure out electrical path around house you need someone with experience and problem solving skills like JD from Go Brilliant. He came on time with courtesy calls, very polite and right away worked on the issues. All problems are solved quickly and cleared explained.
