    DJ Gagan did DJ services at all our events during our wedding festivities, this included our Haldi, Ceremony, and Reception. He provided great ambiance music during the ceremony, and awesome dance music for the Haldi and Reception dance floor. He put together our first dance music as well as the father-daughter mash up based on the songs we provided him. He was super flexible and a joy to work with. For our reception, Gagan was able to transform our venue into something spectacular with the lighting package (as shown in the pictures). The patterned gobos on the walls, the up-lighting on the walls, the pin spot lighting on the tables really elevate the ambiance in the room and make for a stunning night for us and our guests. No question about it, DJ Gagan is a joy to work with and will definitely be our go-to DJ/lighting services for our future events, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    I worked with Gagan and Bay Area Uplighting for my wedding last weekend. They are reasonably priced and Gagan was responsive over email. I would have given them 5 stars except that I wanted to meet with Gagan (or someone from his team) and walk through the space together/discuss color choices. We had planned to do this on a Tuesday, and then that day he asked if we could reschedule. He ended up not being able to see the room - and the color of the lights ended up being a bit redder than i was expecting. All in all, he delivered what was promised, and the color looks great in pictures so I am happy.

    Amazing lighting, hilarious props for a photo booth with instant photos and a flash drive provided the same day, GREAT music selection, fun dhol player, TV and projectors -- all of these combined with friendly and professional service led to my "As good as it gets!" rating :) DJ Gagan worked closely with my decorator to make sure the lighting colors worked perfectly with what she had in mind, and everyone danced away at ALL our events! I would love to have him DJ any other event I host, and would recommend him with my eyes closed. Keep it up!

    Gagan was one of the biggest sources of support during our wedding. His calm demeanor and patient approach was integral to making sure our wedding was a success. Not only was he extremely thorough himself, with his wide net of connections, he was able to connect us with another deejay, dhol player, etc. He has been in the business for a while, and as a result of his hard work, tireless dedication, and easy-going personality, he has prior experience working with so many of our vendors and our venue. From the moment we got engaged and asked for his support, he shared his recommendations and connected us with so many people. He reassured us time and again that we were in good hands - and we were! He deejayed, in conjunction with DJ Kapil, our sangeet, reception and set up and utilized all of our sound systems, mics, etc. He was essentially our day-of (and day before) coordinator. I sent him so many frantic emails and texts, and he calmed me down every time. Our sangeet was a huge hit! I have a very diverse group of friends and very specific taste in music (90s Bay Area rap, early 2000s southern rap, Bhangra mixes, Bollywood hits, pop, etc.) and he was able to deliver in an unbelievable way! My husband and I had no idea where to even look for a dholi and he found one who played the dhol during the baraat and reception and was a favorite amongst our guests. The night before the wedding, my husband and I still needed support finalizing songs for the wedding entrances, reception entrances, timeline for the wedding day. Gagan calmly talked us down from our frenzied state, linked YouTube songs to the times in our spreadsheet, downloaded everything and made sure we were relaxed and ready. The following morning, Gagan made sure everything was set. When we couldn't get a hold of the horse contact, he made many calls and finally led the mobile baraat on his truck. He made the transition as seamless as possible and everyone enjoyed the pre-wedding dance party. The music was so on point, that even my dance-shy husband danced for an hour on a truck in front of hundreds of people! Now for the reception. Minutes before we were heading into the reception, I was still texting Gagan to "cancel this song" or "this dance" or "never mind what I just said" and he stayed calm and made sure every request was met. He did a wonderful job of MCing the event and feeling the crowd. He worked with our decorator and set up our hall with beautiful up lights and a gobo/monogram we had chosen from his easy-to-use website. The dance party that was our reception could not have been more fun. We brought down the house and it had everything to do with Gagan! We highly recommend him to any potential grooms, brides, party-planners, basically anyone! Look through to see some pictures from this event.

Communication was poor, and there was a lack of follow through on commitments. On top of that multiple vendors we hired expressed difficulty working with her due to her unprofessional approach. Based on this experience, we will not be collaborating with her on future events. On the last project we did together the court ruled in her favor, largely because we were the ones who drafted the contract (rookies) that's exactly what the judge said. However, there is plenty of evidence showing that the terms of the contract were not fully completed. It is also true that several of our vendors expressed difficulty working with you, along with others involved in the project. If you would like any proof to support this, there's plenty.

Once we finalized our selections, coordinating with customer service was smooth and pleasant. They were responsive and communicative, which I really appreciated, especially leading up to the event. It helped everything feel organized and stress-free. On the day of the party, the team arrived right on time and set everything up exactly where we wanted. Pickup was just as efficient! Zero hassle. There was a small hiccup: a loveseat we had paid for wasn't delivered initially. I was almost going to dock a star for that, but once I flagged it, they responded immediately and issued a refund without any pushback. That level of accountability and professionalism really stood out. Overall, great service, great communication, and great experience. I'd absolutely work with them again for future events!

He made the process of planning our daughter's Quinceañera seamless. They were responsive, accommodating, patient and friendly. They listened to both my needs and requests. If I needed to make changes or faced any unexpected issues, both Daniel and the staff handled the requests efficiently and professionally. We rented the following: *Lighted XV 4 foot marquee * Table linens * Black napkins * Sheer curtains * Petit Silver Royal Chair * Easels * Silver stand table * Coffee urn and condiment holder The quality of all the items we rented were excellent and clean. Their attention to detail when setting up in our space was impressive. They returned back in the evening for teardown and were able to meet our deadline for being out of the event space. My husband and I had already found a venue prior to hiring Justina. After we found the venue, we were completely at a loss with where to start with the planning as it was overwhelming. But Justina removed this burden completely and she was so patient with us. One trait of Justina that we greatly appreciate is her transparency. Before we signed a contract with her, she was straightforward with us about her giving birth in the middle of the wedding planning process. Despite having to give labor in the middle of planning, Justina's continued to impress us with her clear communication on timelines and expectations. She only stepped away from about 2 weeks after labor and resumed with us; just WOW, we wanted to tell her that she should rest more. During the planing process, Justina handles all of the timelines, organization, and paperwork; which saved my husband and I so much time! Justina was especially a godsend for me, as I was working full-time and wrapping up my master's degree in the same year. We loved how she is prepared with templates for us to follow and takes notes of our every meeting. She is also extremely efficient and was conscious of our budget, and tries her best to help us stay within the budget range we specified. Justina has a lot of connections, so her recommendations were helpful and often helped us save time on researching more vendors. Furthermore, Justina is always willing to come out to meet in person when necessary, and she enjoys choosing fabrics and equipment for the wedding with you -- which we thought was so nice. One thing we also noticed is that all the vendors we worked with also had endless praises for Justina. When it came to actual wedding day, we were surprised by how smooth our wedding event ran. We were prepared to yolo things if things got out of handle, since we have heard a lot of stories from friends about how some of their weddings did not go as planned. Our wedding was a more complicated one as we crammed a lot of events during reception. As the bride, I had one outfit change, we had 7 toast speeches from family/friends, we played the shoe game, and had 3 musical performances prior to opening up the dance floor. Honestly, we did not expect to be able to go through with everything, but Justina made sure we were good on time and we were able to do everything we planned! We were so happy with our wedding and it was everything we expected. Thanks to Justina, we did not feel nearly as stressed out as we initially thought. Due to Justina's immense experience and professionalism, a daunting planning turned into a piece of cake. I would HIGHLY recommend Justina to everyone to plan their events. This review is seriously long overdue as our wedding was way back in October 2022 at Casa Real (my apologies for the delay!) Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken.  We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach! Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with. Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Justina truly demonstrated her expertise with event coordination. We really appreciated her taking so many behind-the-scenes photos and videos, too! She also created our beautiful wedding cake topper and welcome sign. Thank you Justina for helping us have the wedding of our dreams! We are forever incredibly grateful for you!

Hayward is an underdog city - and this is such a unique space. If I was the mayor of Hayward I would shine a light on this place as I think its an important piece of the city. I live just 2 blocks away and have never gotten any note on my front door or advertisement or coupon. I think that is a shame. If I was head of marketing for this business I would place a flyer under every door mat in a 5 or 10 block radius. This is a missed opportunity for core customers. There are new high rise buildings also popping up - a huge senior building - why not a special flyer offering seniors discounts if they show up for an early bird dinner? Often times you can also tell if kids live in any given home in the neighborhood. There are kiddie pools, tiny shoes left out front, bikes thrown around in the front yard - these homes should be targeted even more aggressively with fliers and some sort of incentive to come in. Another huge problem with this place is the lack of emphasis on ease of 'searchability' of the place. I had lived so close since 2016 and had not known about the place until maybe 2020 during the pandemic. How is that possible? It's all about not knowing this is an arcade. Sector 19 doesn't mean anything to me. It should be called 'Sector 19 Arcade' so that people can find it with a Google or Waze search. The arcade is clean and bright and fun for little kids. Its a safe place too - where parents can hang outside more in the restaurant part and not worry they wandered off - there is only one way out. The arcade needs to be front and center - this is why people come. Pizza House or Susie Qs have no competition in this arena.... so lean in on this. I will say that a Susie Qs has an edge with food quality - so again, more reason to make the family friendly atmosphere the center of attention.
