This place was absolutely impossible to order at. I was trying to order an açaí bowl but was interested in the waffles they served. I asked a woman behind the counter what it was and she literally screamed "ONE ORDER FOR WAFFLE", first of all I understood she didn't hear me but it wasn't acceptable that they were BLASTING music in their business. I told the woman behind the counter I didn't want the waffle and that I just wanted an açaí bowl. The woman clearly didn't understand or know how to make an açaí bowl because I received a watered down bowl of acai with literally just bananas (which is even on their menu!!). I ordered delivery and it arrived about 15 minutes after I ordered. I got the açaí bowl with extra peanut butter and it was so good. I don't like it when açaí bowls are too smoothly-like and runny, but this had a bit of texture to it that made it thicker, which I liked. They also were very generous with their peanut butter serving, and who doesn't want that!? I also got a tuna sandwich I saved for lunch it really was one of the best and simplest tuna salads I've ever had. There wasn't much if any mayo in it and was very thick and flavorful. This happened some time ago but just walking by this place made me remember this so I thought I would share. My first thoughts are they are very unprofessional. I was outside when I heard some extreme yelling coming from inside the place. I looked in through of the the windows and saw a middle aged gentleman behind the counter screaming at the top of his lungs at a lady. I'm not sure what started this, but the lady seemed completely calm and the guy was screaming loud enough for me to hear it outside. She ended up walking out and this guy let out another just angry roar before kicking either a trashcan or cabinet. Whatever it was, it was still loud enough for me to hear it. I don't know about the lady, and I never even been in here, but just from that I would never go in. That's just crazy. Also the new Q line has brought in so much more foot traffic! Go cups has now become my smoothie Go to. I got the berry hard (3.95), on recommendation of the guy working and it was good. Honestly, I am afraid of how much I love Go Cups. My love for Go Cups terrifies me. I live less than a block away, and happened upon it on a warmer weather day last year. I got the "Green Machine" smoothie and my body melted. The smoothie was amazing. I would look over the menu, and I just knew that this would be dangerous. The food looked too good. So, I avoided Go Cups. I avoided it like the plague. Until last night. I am still terrified of my own kitchen after seeing an unwanted animal, so I am strictly eating food from elsewhere for the time being. Last night, I went in. This is my new go to breakfast spot and it's amazing. It's a small place with only a few stools at a counter for seating. Their stuff is made to go mostly. I had a delicious acai bowl and I also loved the authentic Liege style Belgian waffles. This means they melt sugar on the inside, just as I had on the streets of Brussels. Service here is okay and they weren't too fast in making the food. Although we were the only ones there, they seemed overwhelmed with delivery orders. That might be the way to go in the future. Lovely little place with fresh salads, fresh fruit, but most importantly FROYO! The women that work here are extremely nice and friendly. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! My friend and I frequented Go Cups about once a week because we loved their acai bowls. It was our go-to spot and a super convenient location right near my apartment. About a month ago, we grabbed our usual acai bowls and enjoyed them while enroute to a concert. About 24 hours later, we were both hit with the most horrific, painful food poising of our lives. We know it was from Go Cups because we both ordered the same acai bowl that previous night and we both got sick at the same time (woke up in the middle of the night at 2am throwing up - we don't live together either so we texted each other asking if the other was sick as well and were shocked to find out all our symptoms started at the same EXACT time). Believe me - it wasn't a stomach bug, I've had those before and this was nothing like it. After suffering the effects of food posing for many hours, I called Go Cups to complain. I started the phone call simply asking if they had had any other complaints within the past 48 hours. They said no and were adamant that their food is the "freshest & purest" and that they only use the best ingredients. I told them I was a loyal customer and that I was certain that the food poisoning was from their store. They refused to believe me and didn't even offer a refund. I was disappointed by their lack on action. I was not able to eat a regular meal for 8 days and survived on Gatorade & crackers while my stomach recovered. I have never experienced such violent food poisoning in my life. STAY AWAY!!! Our assumption is that the knives they use to cut the fruit are not sterilized or cleaned correctly (maybe they use the same knives to cut raw meat and fruit!!) Or the acai puree or almond butter had gone bad. I've never written a review before & specifically joined Yelp just to write this. I love their Almond Joy Smoothie... and no, it's not Almond Joy, the candy. I'm also into their Peanut Butter Super Hero Smoothie. This place isn't bad. A Mom and pops store which i support fully up until today. It's early morning and it's not packed they only have 2 people behind the register. So I go in like a usually do but today I wanted something different other then the frozen yogurts, waffles, or salads. So I ask him do you make an "Acai bowl" he tells me I can't hear you say it again" I say it 2 more times loud enough for the lady on the phone to hear me ( as the guy looks at me in complete confusion) the lady on the phone yells out no and swings her whole left arm to tell me no as if I was deaf and back to her call. It's not as if I asked for something completely out of this world cuz they have an Acai power bomb smoothie and Acai bowl it's not too far from the smoothie. So I go thank you the guy doesn't say anything like sorry or maybe we can add it into the menu (might be reaching with adding it to the menu) but say something something to make me want something else or say something to get my business. Nope the guy just walks away as the lady continues to ignore me. I have been here before and the customer service is better after 12pm when they have more employees there. It's always good and a great healthy option. The smoothies are pretty big and they use real ingredients. The paninis are the bomb and I always get the combo with the side salad.
