Jupioca is great! I only tried this place because I thought the name was cute LOL and I like smoothies! Something I like about this place is that the counter is set up so you can see the fresh fruits/veggies they used. It also seems like they're "health focused", so there are a bunch of posters talking about the benefits of certain ingredients. They have interesting smoothies with a purpose such as "Sex Drive Smoothie" (bow chicka wow wow ;)) or "Metabolic Supercharge". I also like how customizable the drinks are (with an upcharge of course). I ordered the "Slim n' Fit", which has Passion Fruit + Mango + Celery + Flax Seed. I added kale into mine and it was super delicious. I have no interest in weight loss, but I love passion fruit. I found the smoothie to be very delicious and refreshing, especially for warmer days we have coming. I found it to be worth it! I also think it's priced comparably to other smoothie spots in UES. I've seen that there are mixed reviews on the boba, which I have not tried, so I cannot speak to it. But I thought the smoothies were flavorful and fresh. I definitely will be returning :) read more

Pleasantly surprised that this shop sold boba along with its delicious smoothies. The boba was a bit soft for my taste but tasted fresh, and the honeydew tea definitely hit my nostalgia button. Being a milk tea addict from California, I've learned to accept the lack of delicious milk tea (or bubble tea like you East Coasters like to call it). But Jupioca does serve up some pretty good milk tea albeit on the sweeter side. I've tried pretty much every milk tea on the menu, and I enjoy their fruit milk teas the most, especially their Strawberry Milk Tea, which is almost close to the one I get at home. ALMOST. The tapioca boba were really good! I loved the softness, and they were very tasty. The milk tea was sweetened as expected given the level I selected. I ordered a second drink that contained citrus fruit, and the rinds were clearly left on the fruit during the juicing process. When this happens, the juice becomes extremely bitter (in a bad and unexpected way). It's a shame this happened, because the drink would have been really good otherwise. Ps. I noticed someone previously commented about their straws. I've wandered past this juice/tea/smoothing/acai bowl place on my way to my local library. Decided today was the day I would try it. Feeling a bit heavy these days, so I wanted a green, green juice. All the veggies. It can be hard for me to get some of the pre-made green juices as I have an allergy to raw celery, so I was happy that they make everything fresh to order. I got the Vitality Green Juice which has kale, spinach, cucumber, parsley and apple. I held the celery, but added ginger for some kick. It looks like slime, but it's so delicious. It also is cheaper than some of the competition like Juice Press and Juice Generation (although I love those places too). Definitely will be back to try more things from their menu. read more

If you're looking for your bubble tea fix, this spot will be the best and nearest place to go around this neighborhood. I used to live in Queens where I was surrounded by different bubble tea shops and was able to try them all. That being said, in my opinion - I don't think the taste of the bubble teas are the highest quality but they are pretty darn good especially for the good price! This spot also has a rewards punch card, so if this is your first time and your thinking about coming back, just ask for one if they didn't offer one to you already. There were usually 2 people working from the past couple times I've been here, but they really know what they're doing. One thing to note is that this spot is near a school, so they do have tons of kids coming in after school..so there can be a bit of wait at times. Today was my first time trying Jupioca. I specifically went there for the Açaí bowl. Firstly, it looked beautiful. All of the fruit tasted very fresh; banana, mango, blueberry, and strawberry. It was topped with chia seeds and the Açaí was mixed with Spirulina ($1 extra). I am taking a star off because the Açaí felt like it was frozen and not fresh. First time I went, I bought a regular milk tea with bubbles. It was watery, bland, and the bubbles were too plastic-y. I thought thats fine, sometimes people have a bad day so I'll come again. Next time I came I ordered a taro milk tea with bubbles. Same thing as the first. Watery, bland, basically like taro flavored water. This place is terrible. Went in for an açaí bowl and was very disappointed. Ordered a bowl with strawberries and banana and was given one with mangos and pineapple, and was informed they only serve "seasonal fruits". Would have rather been informed when I ordered and just saved my money. They clearly just throw what they have in a bowl and serve it. The açaí DID NOT TASTE LIKE AÇAÍ.
