I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

From my experience, it seems like money from new clients is being used to cover older jobs, leaving no funds available to pay the people who actually did the work. I called many months ago and spoke with the owner (Mike) to replace damaged laminate flooring in a business in my commercial building. The owner, Mike, had came and measured and said it would be done soon. Several weeks had went by with no calls or updates. I was wondering why no one reached out to give me a status update, so I called the owner. When I called him, he said he would call me back in a few minutes but never did. I was starting to get "fed up" and reached out again, and he started ignoring my calls. When I became totally fed up and left a voicemail of my displeasure, he then put me on automatic - voicemail. I was a loyal and dependable customer to them for years without any issues. I talked to my friend who referred me to Best Carpets and Interiors and I found out that the company's business practices are not what they used to be. Basically, if you are not a "big job" like a large scale renovation, you are but on the "back burner". I was really "stunned" because the job I needed done was an easy one or two day job. Danny is honest, professional, fair, and genuinely a good person. He and his team finished the wall in no time and it looked amazing. For the past 7 years, if I need something done.. I call Danny. He has completed drywall, refinished my wood floors, repaired my ceiling, fixed sinks, doors, installed a fence, and just completed my back patio.
