My husband and I slowed down on our restaurant visits, so it had been maybe 6 months since we visited Lam's Pearl City. Since we were on that side of town, we decided to visit. What a surprise! The walk-up window is gone and we had to go inside to place our order. We found it funny that it was our first time in the restaurant! It turns out Lam's Pearl City is under new ownership, who got rid of the window because he wanted to know his customers. That really touched me to see an owner caring about his customers. The food is still tasty and our fried rice was the perfect shade of brown. The owner's interest in knowing his customers- along with the food - makes me rate Lam's Pearl City 4 stars.
