6 hours and 45 minutes for 3 teenagers with no tools to move a 2 bedroom house. Not to mention the hour break they charged me to get gas. As of the next day, they have over $5,000 in charges pending from my bank, and lied and said that the delays were due to them packing. They packed nothing. Had to wait an hour for my neighbor to bring tools. This company is a scam. read more

Thank you. Unfortunately, we found a different copy for half the cost that your company wanted to charge us. They are doing a piggyback on a load already coming to Arizona as we only had 2 had 2 small pieces of furniture and 10 medium size U-Haul boxes to bring to Phoenix and you wanted to charge us $5200. The company that we are using only charged us $2200. My mother died last week and I am trying to move some Momentos that she wanted me to have here. The other company worked with us and gave us several discounts and they are packing the stuff and transporting it to me.I will NOT give you a good review as I feel like you were taking advantage of my family during a very difficult time. I am sure that you are now doing this to people who are moving across the country (Military families) due to the war and other fast hardship moves. I will be letting the attorney general for Arizona know about what you did and am asking them to ban your company from any moves to Washington and Arizona. My heart is breaking as I am her oldest and am trying to handle things for everyone. I really liked Mike the individual from your company as he was professional and nice. The 2 young men who helped me move ran out of steam at the end of the day and didn't try very hard to get my section couch up the stairs. The said it couldn't be done & left it on my front porch. TLDR: I strongly oppose using this moving company. I went off the reviews but this company is a disaster waiting to happen. I've moved 3 times in the last 4 years. Never have I ever seen movers like this company offers. Details: - Mike (manager), Alex (team lead) - 5 movers, 2 trucks (later got changed to 1 truck because Mike convinced me that 1 truck would be better and it wasn't) - 3 move locations. - Home size - ~5,000 sqft. - Cost: +$2,500 The Good: - They showed up (15 minutes late). - The effort was there for some of the workers. The Bad: - Late by 15 minutes. - First location was supposed to be a pick up of a dining table. This took 30 minutes longer than it should have, because 5 people were trying to play Tetris with one table. Seriously, how hard can it be to put a table in the truck against the wall? To their credit, the table was heavy. But the previous moving company handled it with 2 people. - One mover left in the middle of his shift due to his inability to follow directions. My mother showed him how to disassemble the bed frame by pulling up on the hinge. But he kept on unscrewing all the hinges, which takes time! My father gets upset and the mover insists that he's a pro and to let him do his job. But his time is my my money. The mover gets upset and leaves. Wow! First time for everything. - Proper preparation prevents poor performance. I asked for equipment to be taken apart. But they showed up with a simple tool kit . Wouldn't it make sense to show up with a battery powered drill to speed things up? Every moving company I used always showed up with a power drill. - Slow + Damaged items. They shrink wrap items that don't need to be wrapped and spend time on things that are irrelevant. For example, why would you wrap wrap a pillow when it's already bagged? And why wouldn't you wrap expensive art work. Furthermore, we told them exactly on what items need to be handled with care. As a result, items got damaged and Alex said it was due to us rushing them. Side note: it took them 10 hours to complete and it would've taken 15 hours if they insisted unscrewing every hinge and taking every little thing apart. - Attitude. I saved the best for last. It's one thing to suck at your job, but another thing to be arrogant while sucking. At the least, be humble and courteous. When I asked for Mike's (manager) number, one of the workers said, "look it up in yelp." What he should've done was to ask his team lead and got back to me. A note to management: Training your people better. Listen to the customer!!! The customers' know their belongings better than you do. By the way, I'm not undermining the liability that moving companies have. I understand that they have to follow a certain protocol. But when that protocol exceeds a certain dollar amount, things need to change. Also, show up prepared and work efficiently. read more

I hired Goat Movers telephonically from California (always nerve racking), for my daughter who was moving from one city in Oregon to another. They showed up on time, kept on task, and moved her from a two-story townhome to a third-floor apartment (no elevator). I had a great experience with GOAT Movers. They reached out right away when I asked for a quote and were very respectful. They quoted me a cash and card price which were better than 3 other movers I had inquired with. There was also a $30 gas charge but NO other hidden charges. The movers arrived 15 minutes early and were super quick to load up. We first stopped at my rental home and then to my storage unit that was 10x15' and packed to the brim. They made easy work of that storage unit - had it completely empty in 1 hour! When we arrived to our new home they unloaded the truck within an hour or so. This was a total of 4 hours and almost 1 hour of that was drive time between my rental to storage, and the new home. Overall - they had the best price and were super reliable. I'm very very happy with the service - I would highly recommend GOAT Movers for anyone in the Portland / Vancouver area that are looking for a moving service.
