I am perplexed why Robert has photos of another company's job on his main page. He did none of the work featured yet seems to want to take the credit. The pictures used are from my negative review of he and his company. His lack of character continues to shine through. The storage unit does look clean and orderly and you can thank the people I hired here in Gearhart to help me out. Please contact me via message if you want an honest, reputable moving company. One that will use their own photos of their company's work and not plagiarize photos of other people's great work. Two years ago, Robert and his crew moved us from a home to a condo including 53 pieces of art and boxes of glass ware, dishes and wine collection. He and his team were so professional and took great care at packing everything piece carefully and not one thing broke, got chipped or damaged in any way. And unbeknownst to us included in the price the team came back the next day and spent the entire day unpacking us and helping to put all away, assemble furniture, etc. I would highly recommend Robert and his crew. Last week we had a complicated project rearranging a valuable carpet, dining table base and heavy glass top all of which had to be moved and replaced with precise measurements to center of room, carpet, base and glass perfectly straight. He and his helper spent 2 hours measuring, moving a fraction, remeasuring and moving again and again until they got it perfect down to the 1/8 of an inch!! He is awesome! read more

Worst Service! Robert met and quoted me $85.00 an hour for 3 helpers and $120.00 flat fee for the truck. He showed up 45 minutes late due to "traffic" and with his dog in tow. He never asked if I would mind a dog coming house, where it proceeded to defecate on my carpet. His response? "That's how you can tell I feed him good food"! He was slow, took phone calls and made appointments, spent most of his time "arranging" the truck and I ended up having to help to expedite the process. Once to the new location, he tried telling me that the price was $100 an hour for 2 guys. Bait & Switch! The only redeeming quality was the person he brought with him, who was helpful. Robert was completely unprofessional and I will be contacting the BBB. I would never do business with him again and will advise anyone moving to do the same. read more

I'm biased because I know Robert personally... However, I used Robert's moving services a couple of years ago. They did an EXCELLENT job!

Beware of independent movers. I truly wish I could leave a better review. I tried to do my due diligence and had 3 quotes done. I, unfortunately, took the lowest quote. An established moving company warned me that many independent movers will lowball their quotes to get your business but it will cost the same in the end (regulated). However, the service won't be as good, they make promises they can't keep, and often use unskilled labor. Robert seemed to be thorough in his evaluation of our home inventory but later claimed he was not. He told me it would be a 4 day move and quoted $3484 total. Final total was almost $7k. We ended up with a damaged wood floor (and corresponding insurance claim) and overshot the contract turnover of our old home by an hour. I posted notes throughout the house that were ignored, had to repeat deadlines and details over and over, and it was overall a very difficult experience. Boxes were handled multiple times because they were removed from the truck and not moved directly into the destined rooms. It took an entire day and another $840 to move boxes and furniture into the correct places. Robert himself did a good job packing. I had a bit of breakage, but not unreasonable. I like Robert--he's a personable guy and he works hard. But I wouldn't hire him again, and I will never again use an independent mover. If the deal looks too good--it probably is. Shame on me for not remembering that lesson. read more

Robert and his crew are hardcore! They move non stop. We hired them to move us from Portland to Eugene. Robert planned it as a three day staging job due to our family arrangement. He was well organized and moved very fast. We had him pack for us as well as move and I'm so glad we did. "We have zero attachment to your stuff" was how he explained that they'd be able to pack so much faster than we would. What a relief! If you want to save yourself some major headaches I recommend letting someone else do that part of the move for you. The three days we had schedule for the move it snowed in Portland. That didn't stop them though, just caused a minor delay one day. They were very careful with our stuff and I'd say even over padded things to make sure nothing broke. We were there most of the time so we could give extra instruction when needed. They were even faster at unloading and agreed to stay and start unpacking with us even though it wasn't in the plan. I bet they were exhausted on their way back to Portland! I'd hire them again in a second! Very satisfied customer here! read more

Robert and his guys moved me from Portland to West Linn in April. He also moved me to Palm Springs at the end of 2010. I didn't think he could surpass the quality of the first move but he did and I will use him again if and when I need to. Still the best around, they all work very hard but have a good time doing it too. His price is very reasonable and his quote was right on the money both times. Did not show for the "consult" appointment we had set up. Didn't answer my phone calls asking where he was. Called me back 15 min after our appointment time with some story about how he had work going at his own home and that he wanted to come earlier. It is true he had blown up my phone via phone call and text an hour earlier. I had already told him I had a class and could not meet until our appointment time. He proceeded to tell me the visit "wasn't necessary anyway" and that he "saw what was needed" and that he "thinks [his] truck could fit". Without seeing my place, he told me I would need 3 men. The reason for the visit for me was to give me an estimate, so I know I wasn't getting overcharged by having several men show up. Mind you, I have a 700 square foot studio with 6 pieces of furniture and small storage unit of boxes. He told me he would come right then to do the consult and then called back right away to question why I said I didn't want to spend a bunch of money; he told me he didn't want to waste a visit to my place. I told him I didn't want to spend several hundreds of dollars and he laughed. I referenced my last moving bill and explained that I now have less furniture and that I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting charged some 800 dollars with 3 men around when I don't have that much stuff. He tried to make it seem like a 7th floor condo with exclusive elevator access and a small storage unit also with elevator access was a BIG deal and would make the job tough. [I laughed inside at that point!] Anyway, we agreed on a fee range and then he proceeded to schedule 8:30am time on my move date. I told him I needed something in the late morning or afternoon. He then told me he was going to pass on my job; that it was just "too much". Wow - UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE. If you're okay with someone who's unaccommodating, may or may not show up, and potentially overcharges you by bringing more men than needed for a job....then great. Otherwise, I'd avoid this guy. read more
