I gave this place 3 stars because they are consistent with making my drinks of choice but it's not the best Boba Tea I've had. It's a quick and convenient place to grab a blended drink. I usually order a Blended Taro at 50% Sweetness with Regular Boba and Red Bean or a Blended Almond and Lychee at 50% Sweetness with Lychee Jelly. My Sweetie likes the blended mango with no other addition. There are small bites available. My Sweetie likes their fried potstickers. He says they cook them to a perfect crunch for him. I've ordered a vietnamese sandwich and they were ok. The staff don't go out of their way to greet you. I feel the customer service is a bit lacking. They are however professional and take your order. They try their best to be quick about making your order and getting it out to you. You can't really see this place from the street. It's located within the Lowe's shopping area off in the same building as the Starbucks on the corner. read more

Solid spot for milk tea. The only reason I come here is for the Durian smoothie and Thai Green milk tea. The other options I don't care too much about. The Thai Green Milk Tea here is spot on. And the Durian smoothie reminds me of the Smoothies I got as a kid at many Vietnamese restaurants. In other words, its more similar to an icy than a smoothie. It was my first time trying Goatea and with all honesty, I had an okay experience. Customer service was decent. They had a welcoming demeanor and answered any questions we had. They even asked if we wanted to try samples of some of their boba! They also gave us 10% off our order because of their brand new opening. When it came to ordering - that's where I am more reluctant about giving stars. First of all, my sister ordered a hot milk tea and was received the cold version. I don't know how you can mess that up? Lol. I ordered the cold milk tea and they didn't ask how much sweetness I wanted. My sister and I also ordered chicken strips and gyoza. The food and drinks didn't blow us out of the waters either - it was just okay. Not bad and not amazing. However coming here, satisfied our cravings. If I am ever starving and in the area, I wouldn't mind making a pit stop! Other than that, I would not go out of my way for their food and drinks! Great tea bar if you're in the area! Teas/smoothies: Love the soursop smoothie. It's a unique find since it isn't widely available, and they do a fantastic job. I also like that they use fresh ingredients for their smoothies, and you can customize your ice and sweetness level. The teas are okay but I'm an avid tea drinker and I'm not crazy over the fact that they use powder (hence my 3 star rating). Boba/crunchy boba: The boba here is decent. I especially like the crunchy boba since it is always consistent and never a let down! However, the boba is inconsistent which is why I tend to get the crunchy boba here. I love the fact that they make drinks with fresh fruits / machines to cool the teas. I almost paid $5 for a drink which is a little more on the pricey side but it did taste delicious. They charge extra for boba. There's also snacks like French fries, chicken tenders, egg rolls, and Vietnamese sandwiches. Don't recommend the sandwich because it kind of has stale bread. Inside is quite small but clean and nice decor to compliment their logo. Right when they open is a good time to come because around 12 is when rush hour for boba starts lining up. I love Goatea for 3 reasons Price: WAY CHEAPER THAN SHARETEA it's about $5 per cheap which is much cheaper than most boba places Quality: their creama tastes so delicious. All of the drinks are freshly made and made with REAL milk. The tapioca is always soft and chewy Thé Staff: they are the absolute kindest souls out there who really do care about their customers. Been here several times with my children. I would say this place is okay. It's perfect for students going to Highline because you can just go in and out and service is fast. Used to be my go to when I lived in des moines area. Great location lots of parking. Staff members are friendly. Drinks are bomb. Food are reasonably priced. Their punch card has an expiration date that's set to be in 1 month? (I don't exactly remember). So I don't really get to have a buy 10 get 1 free deal. This place is good; not the best but I'll return. I ordered the Green Thai Tea with crunchy boba and milk pudding. I've never seen crunchy boba at any boba spot before so I had to try it. Anddd not for me. It's like a very hard jelly with a very strong floral vanilla flavor; not really the "crunchy" I had in mind. However, the milk pudding and milk tea were both tasty and unique - haven't seen green Thai tea anywhere either. My girlfriend enjoyed her Red Plum slush with regular boba and popping lychee. Very clean shop for boba, banh mi, teas, slushes, and other snacks in Kent/DesMoines area. There are not many quality boba places so south of Seattle but this one gets a gold star. The boba is fresh, the seating is decent, the shop itself is very clean. The offer a variety of boba and jellies and they use non-dairy creamer in their teas! For their milk teas, you can request varying sweetness levels but not for their regular flavored teas. Bright and clean little bubble tea shop. I come here often not only because it's close to my school (Highline college) but also they serve the best bubble tea in the area. Hazelnut thai tea with coffee jelly, and green thai tea with milk pudding are my usual order. The staff are very friendly, they didn't mind going out of their way to answer whatever questions I have regarding their menu. They also usually give some recommendations if I needed them to, and of course I trust them. Who else would know better. I will come back soon to try out their new drink. First time at this place. Pretty new. They said it's only been open 2 months. Right in the Lowe's parking lot. No signs from the street so if you we're not looking for it you won't find it. Nice little shop with friendly staff. I'm sure it will be popular with the local college kids down the street. Boba had good consistency and the flavor was on point. Would get 5 stars IF THEY WERE NOT OUT OF BOBA! Hopefully a rare occurence and to be fair they are super popular because they have an awesome selection of drinks. So, I'll forgive them this once :) Some of my favorite drinks are the coffee frappe, peach frappe with mango bits and the blended oolong tea with boba 75% sweet (YES, you get to choose sweetness level!). I've been going to the Federal Way one consistently every since they opened and now this one is right next to my church so I go with my church members on Sundays every now and then.
