This place is awesome. I had a small baby shower here for a coworker, and the staff was SO kind and accommodating. The food was delicious (and affordable), and everything came out so quickly. It's also the cutest little space! Pink everywhere! 10/10, will definitely return!!

This place is just okay. The decoration/vibes are suuuuper cute and it would definitely be a good place to come and sit with friends or get some work done. But the actual coffee is unfortunately not that good:( Their signature drinks are standard made with a single espresso shot, which would be fine if it was good/strong, but I got a small latte and it just tasted like a cup of milk. It's just really odd to me that their signature drinks would be a default single shot with an extra charge for a double when 90% of other coffee shops are default double shots with lattes. The coffee just isn't good enough quality to make up for it being less coffee, and it's not fair to have to pay extra for it to actually taste like coffee. I've been twice now to see if it was just an off day, but even paying for the extra shot didn't help because the coffee just doesn't have a great flavor unfortunately. Maybe they are still just working out some kinks since they just recently opened, but it's just not worth the price right now in my opinion. The staff is super nice, and the first time I went through the drive through was relatively quick, but the second time I went inside and it took a reallllyyy long time for two lattes when there was no one else in there. My husband really liked their chai though, so maybe coffee just isn't their strong suit. It's worth the try, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice if I had the time to drive a couple more minutes down the road.

Inside look at Lula Coffee in Kent. Beautiful couch and pretty in pink decor. Very nice.

I had the Collagen Dropout hot. I really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere. If I had more time I would have sat and done some writing. The staff was nice and prompt. I wanna bring my daughter and son here!

I made a mental note to check it out when I returned to Des Moines. What a terrific cafe! Warm, cozy, abundant natural light, and cool music playing in the background. The variety of seating g options is perfect: bar stools in the window to people watch, small tables to enjoy the coffee or do some work, more bar stools adjacent to the prep area to watch the action or engage with the baristas, or outside to enjoy the sun and sights Really welcoming and friendly team. It's clear they love the product and the cafe. I asked about the blending coffee being used and it was well explained. They even offered me a (generous) taste of the drip version, which I typically don't like. Good flavor! Coffee is terrific. I ordered a macchiato, which was poured perfectly. When the barista noticed a bit had spilled on to the saucer, he changed it out before serving. A lovely attention to detail. The pastry was tasty. Pricing is really fair. The olace is well visited and has a really terrific neighborhood vibe. It would be easy to make this your go-to hang out!

We came by after happy hour at Anthony's and listened to a live set of great music. The place was packed, but everyone is friendly and was willing to share their table with us. We had a great time and I strongly recommend coming by the Quarterdeck to chill and listen to live music. Can't believe it took me 20 years of living in Seattle to find this place. So, don't repeat my mistake.

Quarterdeck is what I like to call a "come for the vibes, stay for the drinks, eat... somewhere…read moreelse" kind of place. I stopped by while visiting Seattle and while the food situation was a bit chaotic (they had rotating menus because they were out of a few items), I ended up ordering a kimchi-inspired sandwich that I wanted to love...but it just didn't do it for me. Not inedible, maybe a 2/5, but I'd definitely try something else next time. My friend ordered what I think was the Garden Harvest Wrap (a staple on the menu), and that was more of a 3/5. Both dishes were served cold (intentionally), which I think made a difference, I could totally see them being much better if they were warm. Now let's talk about what is worth it: the mimosa flight. SO good. Like dangerously easy to sit there, sip through all of them, and forget any minor food disappointments. But honestly, the real star here is the ambiance. You're right on the water with the most effortless, breezy, coastal energy. Boats drifting by, sun hitting just right, people lingering over drinks--it's giving main character energy in the best way. I found myself wanting to stay way longer than planned and even doing some work while there. This is absolutely a spot I'd come back to, just with a strategy: eat before or after, and come here to sip, sit by the water, and take a little walk on the dock. 5 stars for the vibes alone
