Best cake donuts I've had anywhere. Crispy outers, soft centers. Fritters are fire. Voodoo (and maybe Scottie's) have the best raised donuts. Love their hours and prices. Other places have more expensive and fancier looking donuts but none nearly as good. Service and ambiance leaves a little to be desired but I'm in and out so no biggie. It's the donuts that bring me back over and over. Honorable mentions in the valley are Scottie's and DK (downtown). Rosauers had a great bakery but too bad they didn't stay.

I came across Sweet Sensations and thought I would give it a try. This is a relatively small place but it does offer a lot of indoor seating. My first thought when I ordered was that the price per donut was high for the size and style of donut. For example, a classic blueberry donut was over $1, which I thought was pretty pricey for a basic donut. I left with 4 donuts for around $6. I also didn't love the size of the classic donuts, they are relatively small. However, once I tried my donuts I was pleasantly surprised on their taste and consistency. My search for classic donuts will not end here.

I snagged a round glazed, a chocolate and maple bar, 2 apple fritters and a fancy donut with cream and strawberries on top. I was planning on giving 3 of the goodies to my in laws. I asked the sweet lady for an extra box and with no hesitation she grabbed it got me. I was able to get my goodies sorted. I dropped off the maple bar, an apple fritter and the cream and strawberry donut to my in laws. My father in law loves apple fritters and didn't hesitate to grab it from the box and claim it right away. 0 He enjoyed half of it and is saving the other half for later. Nothing but great things were said about his treat. I forgot to mention earlier that the sweet lady gave me two donut holes in my box. I snacked on those and mannnnn were they good! They were so soft and sweet. I just wanted a little something so it was perfect! My husband devoured his apple fritter. I didn't even get a bite! I'm happy he enjoyed it! I was recently at Krispy Kreme and honestly the donut I got tasted stale. Like it had been sitting out for more than a day. I only had 2 small donut holes and they blew Krispy Kreme out of the water, it was night and day. I'm happy I got to stop in today and grab some goodies. The donuts were amazing! Right when you walk in they are ready to assist, very friendly and welcoming vibes. They are very patient while you look and decide between their many variety of flavors. The best way to go for breakfast is the Guru box. You get to choose a breakfast item, any donuts and a coffee for $11. The coffe is house drip but awesome and you can get a refill for a buck. We got the Southwest Breakfast Burrito and it was delicious. I love the chill vibe here and the relaxing music in the background not being blasted so that you can have a conversation. The addition of the garlic oil with the shaved Parmesan made the toast so flavorful and I know this is going to have me craving this all the time! This isn't a place that will rival the best donuts in the U.S., but it's certainly an enjoyable and worthy morning stop. The interior is a little too modest and not updated at all.
