Such a disappointing experience. Went from our favorite bagel spot to a place we do not plan on ever going to again. We walked in at our normal time with the lights off, only one basket of bagels that did not look tasty at all, and no one even greeted us. We ended up walking out and found out there is new ownership.

I was quite impressed with the quality of the bagels and topping proportion inside. Definitely worth its price. The bagel was not too thick but just enough to get a crispy, savory bite. They have a machine that squeezes fresh orange juice right in front of you and it was refreshing and sweet! One of my top bagels shops to go to for a delightful breakfast. The space is small but they do have a small patio outside if you wanted to enjoy breakfast outside. Everyone working was welcoming and friendly.

Today I stopped into Freedom Bagel because of a recommendation from Brent in Hawaii! :-) Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious. Toasted perfectly and generous volume of cream cheese. Nice location on Eagle Rd, but easy to miss, add to your GPS! Plenty of park f and easy access once you pull into the lot.

I have been meaning to try this bagel joint and I'm happy I did today! Walking in, you felt welcomed. I was greeted right away. There were a few staff members working and they all had smiles on their faces. That's a great way to start someone's day. I took a minute to look over the menu since it was my first time there. No one made me feel like I was taking too long which was nice. It's the worst feeling being rushed. I grabbed a plain bagel with light smear for my husband and I grabbed an egg, sausage and cheese on a jalapeno bagel. They had so many fun options so they will definitely be a must try next time. My breakfast sammy was delicious! The texture of the bagel was chewy and not dense. It was perfectly toasted. The jalapenos in top had a good amount of heat but not overwhelming. The sausage patty they used was savory and thick. The jalapeno cream cheese added nice flavor to the bagel and it had a good amount of heat to it as well! What I liked most was the egg. I liked that it was fried and not a generic egg patty that is basically a scrambled egg patty. It made the sammy that much better!! I was only able to eat half of it. It's quite the breakfast sammy. Living on the other end of town has it's perks but man, I hate that this joint is clear across town for me. They are pushing some fantastic bagels! I can't wait to go back.

I'm a huge bagel snob and I am always extremely satisfied every time I come here. The staff is kind and always have great attitudes, even when they are completely slammed. I also always notice how well they work together as a team. The bagel itself is made to perfection, they are always fresh and toasted to perfection. The ingredients taste good and I have never had an issue here. The store is a bit smaller when it comes to seating, but I prefer taking it to go so that does not bother me.

Quick update for anyone coming here after work and you are rushing to get here before they close. You better get here at least 30 minutes before 2. So they close at 2pm. I got off work and rushed here from downtown boise. I got here seven minutes before closing hoping they were still open, since technically it was not 2pm. Nope. Doors are locked and lights are off. People are inside and they are all done for the day. I absolutely love these bagels, but do not try to rush here after work thinking you can beat them before they close. If you are even close to their closing time, you won't make it. Save yourself the disappointment, time, gas, drive through Eagle road traffic. Not worth the trouble. Super disappointed. At least there is an Auntie Anne's pretzels right here.

New Yorker .... Made by someone who has obviously been to NYC. Actually perfectly made.

Have you ever returned to a restaurant and think to yourself, "Why in the world have I not come…read moreback here sooner." That is the thought I had when we sat down at Moe Joe's. This place is phenomenal and seriously one of the best breakfast places in all of Idaho. I hesitate to say that because there can definitely be a wait because of its popularity, but facts are facts. My wife and I went to Moe Joe's for breakfast recently and man was it good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and was stunned at the amount of food. Where to start. The steak was incredibly tender and enormous. The homemade biscuit was flaky and perfectly baked. The sausage gravy was meaty and flavorful. And the crispy hashbrowns seemed to cover half the plate. Then there are the house-made jellies. Who does that and how can I get more! The service was prompt and friendly with a great wait staff that made everything easy. The vibe of the restaurant is "friendly neighborhood spot" and feels like home. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. These folks know how to do breakfast right and I cannot wait to go back.

Our server Audrey, deserves a medal -- total sweetheart, total pro, and unfazed by a swarm of kids. I went for the salted caramel banana bread French toast, and wow. Thought it wouldn't fill me up, but it absolutely did... plus I sampled half the table because everything looked too good not to. Marlene's Loaded Idaho Potato Nachos? Spicy, bold, and ridiculously tasty. Coffee? Strong and smooth. The prices were so low I thought they misprinted the menu, and then the portions came out and confirmed we'd officially scored. Of course it's our last day in Idaho and we finally find the best breakfast spot.

The eggs were actually poached perfectly. Seriously, my mouth is watering just reflecting on the food. The toasted single ciabatta is something that I liked versus a couple English muffins. The smoked ham a tad salty but paired with the hollandaise very well. Ripe tomatoes. The greens for a side was my choice versus potatoes. I'll have to try the potatoes next time because this day was going to be hot and smokey, so I needed to keep it light. I drink coffee black, and the coffee was really good. On the service, as some have complained about, I can't really speak to that. I went in before work, so I was there at 7. By the time I left at 7:45, two more tables came in and one had already left. 9 or 10am on a Sunday is probably different. So the service was good for me. The decor was an updated nautical theme that I seen before. A few decades ago, I went to a First Watch in a land far away. When it was brought to the Boise area, I thought it would be interesting to have that seasonal approach option compared to fixed menu Cisco approach. And if you're good with a standard pancake, maple flavored syrup, a couple slices of bacon, and two plain scrambled eggs - do that. If you like something interesting, First Watch.

I ordered the Chipotle Steak & Queso seasonal item. The presentation was nice but for the money I would never order again. When ordering you think of meat with the word steak. The 5-6 little pieces of steak hidden with all the potato and other items just was not satisfying at all for my hunger. The potatoes were undercooked with tough and chewy tortillas as well. Being a hash they should have a crispy bite to them not all soft and mushy. My partner was with me and had The Works Omelet and it was good but again the potatoes were mushy and nothing browned or crispy to them. The coffee was a bit bitter and when the server brought out water with the water glasses one of the was still dirty. Not something I would expect from a restaurant, when I worked as a server I looked at Everything I brought to the table for a guest when it came to glassware and utensils. So needless to say it will be a long time before if I ever come back to this place. I enjoy LePeep much better and have never had these issues, heck I have had better at IHop for the money I have spent here.

I'm not really in favor of having to give your cell phone number to feed into their app so you know when your table is ready, but there you have it. The inside is pretty cool if you are into that "converted warehouse" feel of exposed beam crossed with a country kitchen feel. Tables aren't crammed together, definitely a sense of space. There are booth options as well. And as I prefer, no TVs. There were 2 groups of 14 that were served during our visit, so they can definitely accommodate larger parties. Our server rarely checked in, took 10 minutes to refill coffee after we requested a top off (she forgot), and never ended up refilling out water. The coffee we did get was good though. As always, I'm a hollandaise connoisseur as the foundation for perfect Benedict - my go to breakfast item. So I asked for a sample before I ordered, and I'm glad I did. The Griddle's hollandaise was curious. It was clearly about 25-50% powdered mix (which tastes like nasty beef gravy) with the balance being added clarified butter and a very strong dose of lemon. It was marginal, but good enough. So, I went with the crab cake Benedict. The crab cakes were a bit "fishy," so the strong lemon flavor was a plus. After flagging down our server, I requested a new poached egg as one of them arrived hard boiled. (I want runny yolks as hard boiled are too chalky for my taste.) The replacement egg was delivered very quickly. My guest had the banana Texas french toast special with added bacon and scrambled eggs. Bacon was nice and thick, nicely cooked. Scrambled eggs are pretty much just that. The french toast did have great body to it, but I'm not a huge banana fan. Still enjoyed it though. I would consider this an option for a revisit.
