I couldn't sleep last night so of course I decided to do some research on some local bakeries in…read moreour area. I am always down for something sweet! I have driven by this shop a million times but never got the chance to make it in. After checking out all their photos and goodies off their website, making my way in today was a must. The shop is very small and intimate. You are immediately greeted by all the goodies as soon as you walk in. Colorful macarons, the cutest cheesecakes and beautifully displayed scones and muffins. The display case is nice and bright, allowing you to be able to see the details and coloring of each macaron. The pretty piping on the cheesecake. The fun layers of the cakes. It was hard not to want one of each thing out of the case. It was our first visit for my daughter and I. As a new customer, you're trying to absorb everything about this store. You want to look at all your options! The gal that initially was going to help us pretty much just stood there and stared at us. Didn't really talk to us. Didn't ask if we had any questions. She had the most unpleasant look on her face. It honestly made me feel so unwanted and uncomfortable to be at the shop. I offered to let another customer go ahead of us so she wasn't just standing there waiting for us to order something. The second customer also needed some time. Finally a gentleman came in and she got him some coffee started. Another gal was working and she helped us. At that point, I was so turned off about getting anything but we were already there so we decided to grab a few things. My daughter and I decided to share a 6 pack of macarons. We snagged lemon, birthday cake, coffee, chocolate, creme brulee and cookies and cream as our flavor choices. She also got a red velvet cheesecake for us to share after dinner tonight. On our ride home, we broke that box of macarons open and had to try them all. The lemon was sweet and tangy, I love the lemon custard in the middle. Birthday cake reminds me of a pink frosted animal cookie. The chocolate was my favorite! Very chocolate forward and sweet. Coffee reminded me of a vanilla latte in cookie form. Cookies and cream was much like cookies and cream ice cream. More cream forward and less chocolate cookie. Creme brulee had sugar toasted on top which created a slight bitterness to the cookie but it was balanced with how sweet the cookie was. All 6 macarons were fabulous! I look forward to having the red velvet cheesecake after dinner tonight. I like that there are so many gluten free options at this bakery. I adore how petite and prettily decorated the pastries were. I appreciate that this joint is local as I love supporting local businesses. But, first impressions are so huge for me and my first impression of their customer service wasn't there for me. You can push out great products all you want but how you make someone feel during their purchase can make or break your business. As fantastic as my macarons were, all I can think about was how uncomfortable I was when I was just being stared at. Macarons and cheesecake can be purchased at a few joints in our valley. I'm happy I got to enjoy some goodies with my daughter but I'm going to go support another local business that will actually make me feel like a valued customer and not a bother.

More of a to-go spot. They also sell random goods like books and gift wrapping paper at the front of the store. We split half of each to try both. Sandwiches don't come with anything like chips and a drink on weekends, unfortunately. You can get a deal during the week with those included. Also tried a side of potato salad, which was great. Got a kids egg breakfast burrito, too (breakfast served all day). Just under $50 including tax and tip as of Aug 2026.

The 9-grain mustard completely overpowered the other flavors, making it difficult to enjoy the sandwich as a whole. That said, the bread was excellent, and the chicken was incredibly tender--it really could have been a great sandwich with a better balance of flavors. Even with that disappointment, we'd definitely come back and simply ask them to leave off the mustard next time. We're also looking forward to trying some of their take-and-bake items, especially the chicken pot pie and lasagna, which looked fantastic!

So, I stopped in today to grab a sweet treat for her friends. I checked out the variety of goodies today and they were quite a few. I didn't realize how much they truly had! I'm so used to grabbing bagels and donuts that I haven't really seen all their other options of goods. The beautiful sugar cookies caught my eye. I adore the delicate flowers that are printed on the cookie. I would have loved all my cookies too have had that floral print. I grab the only 4 they had and grabbed a couple extra cuties that they that were available. My mother in law's friends loved the cookies. They were full from lunch and decided to take their treats home. I'm sure they loved their cookies. They were excited to pick out their favorite one. The gal that helped me today was super sweet. I told them specifically what I wanted (with actual pictures) and she clarified it wouldn't look exactly the same but they would do their best and to look at some of what they had done in the past via Instagram. I looked at both Instagram and Facebook and loved the creativity and extra stuff that was used to bring the cake balls to life as they characters they were. I paid the extra price for three of my four dozen to be customized into octopus, fish, and a saying. The other good: the actual cake balls did taste good, so that part is something I would say they did well. The bad: After I solidified my order, the invoice and actual scheduling with my cake ball maker was not coordinated quickly which left me unsure everything was in order and would be ready in time. Thankfully it all worked out ok on that end. Next: Everything went great until pick up. My three 'specialized' dozen had a sugar-paper print out of the images I had sent and the saying I wanted. Nothing like I was expecting for sure and an 'exact print out' was never offered as an option for me to consider. I expressed my disappointed and they offered to look back at our email conversation to see where the miscommunication had happened. She emailed back to explain that they did exactly what I wanted. :( (most likely based on me asking how exact they could get). I sent her a response email where I copied all the things she had said that led me to believe they would be customized (like everything I had seen on Instagram) and mentioned she specifically told me they wouldn't be the same. Her final reply did not address any of the things she had said to me previously but included a 20% off coupon for a future order. I will not be doing a future order. I am disappointed they did not own their mistake and work to make it write. Their 'specialty customization' was not at all worth an extra $20 a dozen.

Well, low and behold we get an email back, an automated message at that, stating that they were no longer in business and that they apologized. 1 week!!! 1 week before our wedding WE had to reach out to them in order to find this out. Its now coming up on a week AFTER our wedding and we are still without our refund and still ZERO communication whatsoever. Do not, under any circumstance, use this company if they come back. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't live up to the presentation for me. I tried the carrot cake cupcake and was expecting a classic cream cheese frosting, but what I got tasted more like a very sweet white frosting. If there was cream cheese in it, I couldn't really tell. The cake itself also had a slightly soapy/perfumey flavor, almost like the batter picked up fragrance from a recently cleaned counter. I'm very sensitive to that taste and it really threw me off. I also tried the Boston Cream Pie cupcake. There was barely any Bavarian cream filling inside, which was disappointing since that's the main reason to order that flavor. The cupcake was also very crumbly, making it difficult to hold and eat. Overall, the shop is cute and the display is beautiful, but the flavors I tried didn't quite deliver. I might give it another try someday in case I just picked the wrong flavors.
