Good times bagels is a great spot for breakfast or lunch! They have delicious wood fired bagels and you can watch as they make and fire them which is always entertaining for adults and kiddos. They have a good variety of bagels and sandwich options so eveyone will have something they enjoy. Their gluten free bagels are my favorite! They are cooked to perfection, not crumbly, dry, or grainy. I don't know how they do it. They also have a vegan cream cheese so everyone's got an option. Sometimes the bagels can be a little crunchier but with the toppings I get on a sandwich it's never deterred me from coming back. This was my first time coming here, and I was honestly pretty disappointed. My bagel was extremely hard and difficult to chew, which made it hard to enjoy. I also ordered a brown sugar latte, but it tasted like plain black coffee with little to no sweetness or flavor. Overall, there just wasn't anything that stood out about this place. I was hoping for a better experience based on the reviews, but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. I personally prefer Blue Sky Bagels and will probably stick with them in the future. I drive by this place a lot when it's closed later in the day but I had the opportunity to grab breakfast today. It's Saturday morning, everyones out and about today. There isn't a real designated parking lot for this joint so it's street parking. It was busy so parking was kinda chaotic. Walking in, the shop was buzzin! People ordering, people eating, people waiting. There was people everywhere! I love seeing this. businesses busy. I finally made it up to the counter. The gal that helped me was pretty mono tone. She we there to grab orders and that's it. Not much interaction. I ordered the #5 today. It's the GTB.BLT on a garlic bagel. Opening the box, this bagel looked beautiful! Fresh crisp lettuce, pretty red tomatoes, thick pieces of bacon. Some of the poblano cream cheese was poppin out of the center hole. It all looked delicious! The veggies were so fresh, the bacon was salty and crispy. The poblano cream cheese had a slight heat to it. It all married so good togther! The bagel, which is the main star of the show was so hard. It was rich in garlic and golden in color from toasting. As lovely as it looked, it honestly was so hard I stopped eating it after a couple bites. Such a bummer cause it looked so good! I'm happy I got to try it out! It was a good bagel sammy despite of how hard the bagel was. I look forward to coming back and trying something else. I really love this place! Having said that, the last couple of times I've gone in, I've been fairly disappointed by small little erky things. Certainly not the bagels as they are absolutely delicious and everything that they use to put on the bagels (if it makes it to the bagel) when you otder it is always delicious. I ordered the lox and bagel and asked for it extra toasted. It did not come out extra toasted and it never has all the times I've ordered it. On this Bagel sandwich (which cost almost $15), there was too much cream cheese, there was no tomato and no microgreens which is listed on the menu as being on the sandwich. What WAS on it was plenty of salmon and barely any dill. I had to go back in and ask for them to add the tomato which they did and asked if they would please add the Cucumber that I ask for. I checked the sandwich and there was actually no cucumber again, so I brought it back a third time and ask for cucumber and a gentleman at the counter said it's underneath the salmon and the tomato. ( were they just out of cucumber?) I already felt like I was putting them out simply because they were so busy so I can understand why there might be mistakes, but there was no cucumber when I got in the car and took a bite of the sandwich. I just really wanted cucumber on it so badly that day so I was totally annoyed. Like I said the place is great, the vibe is great, and I love stopping in for some really, good bagels that are home cooked in the brick oven just like in Montreal. All of the staff are very, very friendly and kind so I have absolutely no problems with that whatsoever. But I don't know what the chef was doing in the back when the staff in the front asked him to add these things to the sandwich and why they weren't there to begin with and not even after asking twice and three times. I know it's a first world problem but with the prices these days and when the effort to support local businesses is at an all-time high, I don't really think that my complaint is bad just constructive criticism. When I did call and tell them what happened again they did say "No problem and we will go ahead and reimburse you for the Cucumber that was not put on your sandwich". Of course I told them to keep the 50 cents. I'm still giving them a four-star rating because it's a fantastic place with great food and a great staff! I have to say, I have had a lot of Bagels in a lot of places and for Boise ID this is hands down the best Bagel I have had in ID! I stumbled across this place at the Farmers Market a few Saturdays ago! Wasn't really looking for a breakfast sandwich but I have been exploring around town since relocating here in February, in search of a better than average Bagel. I will say I am a fan of a little smaller Bagel, not those big puffy ones with the soft exterior. I like a harder skin with that soft goodness in the middle, a good crunch with a nice chew! I liked the looks of these as I walked by. I asked if they would sell a 1/2 dozen and they did, they are really just set-up to make sandwiches for people and not sell volume! The gal explained that their Bagels are fire roasted...fire roasted you say, right up my alley! Now I bought 6, payed much more than I would have under normal circumstances but that was what I wanted, right then and there and a little extra money for hard working people was worth it! I was definitely not disappointed. Had to take a bite as I got ready to bike home...just like I was expecting, nice crunch to the exterior with a nice soft interior...a seriously good Bagel! I have since been to their main location and bought a 1/2 dozen there for less than the Farmers Market. Had a breakfast sandwich which was very good but the Bagels ROCK! Lovely enough spot to grab a bite. While a delicious enough bagel, nothing seemed over the top. Plan to stand in a line especially on the weekend. Thankfully it wasn't packed when I arrived (not a ton of bagel choices. I chose to chance it rather than stand in a long line. ie. Going later in the day.) The bagel-ist at the counter was friendly. My iced coffee was baby size for the price though. Parking in that area can be a bit difficult so you may have to park far away or circle for a spot. This place is priced on the higher side (where isn't now) so just be prepared to pay higher for a bagel. They are made behind the register area though so expect a fresh one! If you have unlimited personal financial resources, a rich friend paying or your parents' credit card, you can really enjoy this menu. Impossible street parking, and don't even think about parking in the K-9 bar lot, it is patrolled. The location is way too close to the North End Neighborhood which makes it culturally unbalanced. Make no attempt to enter this place on a Saturday morning as the line winds around inside and out the door with shallow sock-heads and airheads. I will admit that the sandwich was very good, significantly better than Freedom Bagels in Meridian in that it didn't taste like a pile of salt and low grade ingredients, but at $14.84 EACH w/o tip, GOOD TIMES BAGEL - YA GOTTA BE KIDDING. They are making bagels right in front of you, which is entertaining and is likely a good idea for inventory reasons. No day old bagels here either. Employees & owner are very nice and engaging, but I wasn't looking to expand my social circle while getting a lox and cream cheese bagel. I wasn't familiar with Montreal-style bagels when we stepped inside Good Times Bagels, but after coming home and researching the subject, Montreal has just as a long and storied bagel tradition as New York City. We bought an assortment of sesame, onion and garlic bagels to bring home, along with an everything bagel, known in Montreal as well-dressed. All were excellent, with a crispy outside and a chewy middle. The roasted poblano spread was out-of-this-world good. Andy Griffith would have recommended it for double duty on a Ritz cracker. Montreal bagels are boiled in honey water and baked in a wood-fired oven. New York bagels, on the other hand, dunked in malted water and finished in a conventional oven. Both styles have their adherents. I like both but these are very good. We live three blocks away and waited eagerly for Good Times Bagels, located across 25th Street from Gil's K-9 bar, to open. They're a welcome addition to the neighborhood and we look forward to walking and riding our bikes there as the weather improves. read more

Oh my goodness - everyone said go here. They were right. The everything bagel was perfection. I got the egg sando and it was delicious. The woman who helped me was so helpful and welcoming too. She sold me on her homemade cookies. For fellow sugar fans, just get the damn cookie! There are also tables in the back, and it's walking distance to a park and Quinn's Pond. I give this place an average rating. First off. Parking is horrible. Just street parking in a residential area. So side streets. I got a garlic bagel with hot honey cream cheese. Bagel was good. Chewy with a chewy inside. Exterior had a little crunch. They didn't cut my bagel in half. Maybe you have to ask for that? For a four ounce container of cream cheese, it's $4!! What the heck. Hard pass. They had some good looking flavors. Churro looks interesting but I wasnt going to pay $4. The cream cheese was ok. Didn't taste any of the supposed "hot honey" flavor. These are one of those bagels that you have to eat quick to keep the crunchy exterior. As I'm writing this I'm at the other half of my bagel. It's now soft and too chewy.
