service was great, however, donut quality is not what it used to be. ordered a box of 7 and a bag of donut holes. sweet sensations has been my favorite for years and I love chocolate bars. the 5 bars I ordered this morning were supposed to be chocolate, but they were regular icing tinted with brown food coloring. the other 2 were the normal blue for the rainbows as expected. so bummed. all bars went to the trash. read more

The donuts here are very good and fresh when gotten earlier in the morning! They also offer different fillings for donuts which some of the other places around do not do. When it gets closer to closing time however, the options can become quite limited as they will run out of certain types of donuts throughout the day. The service was friendly, fast, and patient. This is more of a pick up and go place than somewhere you'd sit down and eat. read more

My husband heard from some of his friends that this place had good donuts, so I stopped by early in the morning to take some to work. My coworkers are in love! Yummy favorites and some unique new flavors to choose from! Very well priced and incredible, friendly service. Definitely a place that I will be coming back to for a delightful early morning surprise for my work buddies. I'm spoiled now in comparison to when other coworkers bring in donuts from anywhere else. Came here early Saturday morning and ordered the sweets dozen box where they pick your donuts. It came with 2 bars, 4 glazed, 2 sprinkles, 2 cake, 1 old fashioned, and 1 cream cheese donut (plus free donut holes) for $16. I believe based on those specific donuts, you save money by ordering the random box as opposed to making the selection yourself with the same types of donuts. I was a little wary about dropping that much money just on donuts, but the quality of their donuts is unlike any I've ever had. These donuts don't leave that gross greasy residue in your mouth after you eat them (even when eating them cold!) and they're so light and airy. The toppings are also not too sweet, plus they have a great variety of flavors and types of donuts. The only downside is they're only open until 1 PM, otherwise we'd be here way more often! read more

we LOVED the old donuts and we would get up at 5am to come in and get donuts for the kids before school, a few to several times during the summer. I adore this little donut shop. It reminds me a lot of my childhood. No commercialized glitz...just damn good donuts. This is a small store on Franklin Ave, tucked behind a Dutch Bros in a little strip mall. There was 1 or 2 places to sit, but most everyone gets their donuts to go anyway. You must go early! I've been in at 7:00 am before and half of the days donuts were gone. They have tons of varieties and they're all carefully crafted. I love their cake donuts. Substantial, tangy and they come in tons of fun flavors like Red Velvet, Chocolate, Apple Pie and more. They also have some other fun pastries like sausage rolls and fritters. Sweet Sensations also does custom orders! We ordered a bunch of cute blue and green donuts for a baby sprinkle once. They throw in a handful of donut holes into any order so you can snack on tiny puffs of heaven on your way out the door and avoid any chocolate or powdered sugar mess on your mouth. Tried Sweet Sensation Donuts for the first time this morning. It is a small store located in a strip mall behind Dutch Bros. Unfortunately we arrived at 11 a.m. which appears to be too late for the best selection as most were picked over. That being said, there were still plenty to choose from and I really enjoyed the maple bar. I also had a pink sprinkle donut which was very good too. The batter that they use for their doughnuts is unique and tastes really good. I would say the dough is better than what you get at most other shops. From a glaze/topping perspective they were ok too. But the real gem is the taste of the dough. I am looking forward to going back earlier in the day next time to try the maple bar with bacon. The staff was very friendly and even added a bunch of donut holes to our box when we were leaving. We'll definitely be back. read more

We are newer to the area and have been searching for "THE" donut shop. This is it. We've tried lots of different places. My kids like cute donuts but I like delicious donuts and in our experience, it's hard to find a place where you can find cute donuts that taste good too. I got a chocolate cake donut, a blueberry donut and a maple bar. YUM. My kids got the rainbow and m&m donuts and demolished them. We went to a fancy shop in Boise and my kids didn't even finish the donuts. They looked awesome there but lacked real flavor and were very stale. These are the classic donuts I'm used to. The owner was SO nice! I mentioned that we had been looking for our new donut shop and she threw in a maple bar for us to try for free. She was super friendly and so sweet. We were able to eat inside (thank you!!!) and they had lots of napkins (like real ones, not the tissue paper ones lol) to help me clean up my messy kids. The inside was super clean. I also noticed the drive thru once I came in which we will definitely be utilizing in the future. All in all, great experience! Can't wait to come back here again soon! read more

There I was browsing my FB news feed when a link popped up claiming a list of the top donut shops in every state. Normally I don't go for this kind of click bait, but as a recent transplant to Idaho I was curious what they would list for here. I honestly expected them to say Guru Donuts (which I don't care for), but to my surprise it was Sweet Sensation Donuts which was all of 5 miles away but never seen/heard of it. One Sunday morning I get up early and stopped in. They open at 5:30AM and boy oh boy was the case stocked full of freshly baked donuts. I exercised restraint and walked away with only 5-6 selections from the racks of heaven on earth. For me it comes down to the classics; glazed, old fashioned, and apple fritter. Now I would call myself a bit of a donut connoisseur (ok pretty much anything food connoisseur), and man these are AMAZING donuts! Obviously freshly baked, perfect balance of gooey cake dough and really tasty icing. And the apple fritter, oh man! Thankfully I'm on a diet and only can enjoy these on my "cheat day", otherwise it would likely be very dangerous for my scale at home. read more

These donuts were just okay. They weren't terrible but definitely not the best I've ever had. The donuts were soft but a lot of the donuts tasted straight up like oil. Their chocolate frosted donuts were terrible. I'm not sure how you can mess up chocolate but they did. The only donut I enjoyed was the cheesecake donut but honestly it wasn't enough cheesecake on top. I would choose Krispy Kreme over this place any day. read more

PHENOMENAL DONUTS - CLEAN STORE These are the best donuts on this side of the valley. They are soft, made fresh every day, not super oily and you don't feel guilty after eating three. Something they do is fill donuts fresh with the filling so the filled donut is not all soggy and squishy sitting there with the filling. I have tried the bavarian filling with chocolate and it is a great balance. Donut hole variety is a must have. They have filled donut holes which I have never seen before! We've been here 3+ years and haven't found a donut place until now. This place has PERFECTLY fluffy donuts. We haven't tried the cake donuts yet but we will. The maple bar, cream cheese donut, eclair, and strawberry topped donuts were the stars. Their glazed and everything else is delicious. The woman who served us was super friendly. Found my own go-to-OASIS doughnut shop!!! Dropped in for 3 doughnuts and walked out with MUCH more... including mental notes for the NEXT visit. =) Doughnut holes MELT in your mouth!! Not sure if it's standard practice, but my LEMON filled doughnut wasn't filled till I ordered it... soooooo much YUMMY filling!! Surprised my son-in-law with several of his favorites; which included a very yummy looking apple fritter... he's sooo mad at me. HaHaHaHa The Shop is clean, quaint and accommodates 2-3 tables, so don't be surprised if you're taking your treats-to-go. Didn't realize there was a drive-thru until I was inside... I ordered a donut infused with raspberry and when I got home and bit into it I didn't taste the raspberry so I opened it and what a joke there was a drop the size of a dime in there on both donuts we ordered.
