I have ordered several times from this company as I love their products and want to always support black-owned businesses. But my last order will be my last order. Never again. I ordered the God is Dope handbag. Received a email announcing the handbag and ordered within 5 minutes. I was so excited. It was a pre-order that I placed on 6/6/22 with a shipment date of 8/1/22. A month and a half after I placed the order I received a email about the bag and it was now $50 cheaper. WHAT??? I requested a price adjustment since the bag had not even been shipped. Was told there was no price adjustment. I then requested my order be canceled, again it had not shipped. How do you offer a item for $50 cheaper before you even ship the first orders. At least wait until after you ship. I felt like I was penalized for trying to be the first to support them. I was told my order could not be canceled because all orders are final. Mind you I did not see any message to this effect either whie browsing the item. after adding the item to my cart, when checking out, nowhere did it say the sale was final. I would definitely NOT have placed the order had I seen that. I went searching all over the website for this information and found under FAQ's, a message that said, effective in May, all sales are final. Tell me what person who has already purchased multiple times from a merchant, will go looking for a 'all sales are final' message under the FAQ's. My bag actually arrived on 8/1/22 and I love it. But just based on this experience, I will never order from this company again. My mother ended up ordering 2 bags on 7/26/22 and the email confirmation stated they would be shipped on 8/1/22. I should have told her not to order them but when she told me the ship date was 8/1/22, I thougt we'll see. It is now 3 months later and the bags still have not been shipped. She reached out to them to get a status update and was told there was a delay. After realizing she would not get the bags in time for when she needed them she requested a cancellation of her order and they refused to refund her and did not commit to a shipment date. Even after delay, after delay, in good faith I feel they should have allowed her to cancel her order. Not her fault the items were delayed. Not a very 'God is Dope' way of doing business if you ask me. She recently received a update that the bags are further delayed and she could request a refund by replying to the email. When she replied, asking AGAIN for a refund, she received a message that her message was blocked. WHAT THE HECK!!! So reply to request a refund, as instructed, and your message is blocked. Do not order from this company!!! I placed an order on Nov.15, 2022 for a hoodie and still HAVEN'T received my order! I have emailed their customer service department asking for an ETA or a refund. They emailed back stating they could not cancel my order and would send it ASAP and that they are experiencing "staffing issues". It's January and I still don't have my hoodie. I placed an order with GID on 11/12/22. I was charged $13.95 for shipping which they guaranteed by Black Friday. Black Friday came and went so I emailed them on Monday 11/28/22 regarding my order which included Christmas gifts. I got a generic auto reply stating my request has been received and is being reviewed by their staff and I never received a response after that. So I figured I would give it some more time but no shipment confirmation. So I send another email on 12/19/22 and of course I got the same generic auto reply I did before. Then I get an email on 12/24/22 stating my order is almost ready and due to staffing issues they are experiencing delays with their orders which means I obviously won't be getting it by Christmas. At this point, I no longer want the order but they stated in the email they are unable to cancel the order. My order was finally delivered on 1/6/23. This was my first order and will probably be my last. I love the items I ordered which was made of good quality material but I am really leery of placing any future orders. Terrible experience! Tired to cancel and order right after completing the order as it was suppose to be a gift but the individual did not want the item. Literally tired to cancel 2 second after purchase. Customer service didn't respond to me until the item was delivered 2 days later. I live in atlanta and asked if I can return it in store they would not honor as they keep repeating their policy to me. Now I am stuck with an item that does not fit me and is not wanted. I first saw this company on Instagram, a lot lol. One thing they do well is advertising. They also are consistent in sending text messages marketing their apparel and notifying customers of sales. So much that its became a twitter joke that "if no one texts you today, God is Dope will" lol. The quality of the clothing is nice, I have a dozen or more shirts and a hat that I love. It is definitely one of my go-to brands whether its a casual day or not. Everything advertised on their website is the same as when I received it in the mail. The online interface is easy to navigate and aesthetically appealing. Everything looks great still after several washes. I have had no issues with delivery times so I have not interacted with their customer service to give feedback on their professionalism. However, I love everything God is Dope stands for. read more

I've purchased from them twice. 1st time: It took over a month to receive my order. Ironically, my neighbor placed her order the same day I did, for the same item, and received it about a week later. I tried contacting customer service and never got a reply. 2nd time: I placed an order just before Christmas 2020. They had changed their order/payment system since the last time. I signed up to receive text message updates for shipping and delivery and only received one with a tracking number after the order has shipped. Some days went by and I never received any updates so I manually checked it with USPS only to find out that the delivery had been attempted on December 31st and returned due to an insufficient shipping address. Apparently, their system changed the format of my shipping address causing my apartment number to be removed. I tried reaching out to them several times via email, Instagram, by phone and text message... I have yet to receive anything other than an automated reply after emailing. I got another automated email stating they were processing a refund but I've not received it. Honestly, I wanted the items over a refund. I contacted them to see if they could re-shio my order once they received the return. I was even willing to be a good sport and pay for the shipping even though it wasn't my error. These were gifts for others and a couple of things for myself. I would consider re-ordering but none of the items are available on the website at this time. I like a lot of their stuff, but their customer service and support is extremely poor. I know someone's working because I continue to receive promotional emails and texts. They could at least respond to my concerns and request for help. I wish their stuff was in Amazon as I'm sure that ordering experience would be better. read more

I have ordered several times from this company, I love their products and love supporting black owned businesses. However, over time their service has gotten worse, this is just ridiculous. I placed my order on 8 Feb 23, on their website it says (orders process in 2-4 weeks, which is also crazy). So I was prepared to wait the 4 weeks. I sent an email on March 2nd inquiring about the status of my order, no reply, followed up on the 7th of March, no reply. Received an email on the 12th that "some" of my items have shipped. Followed up with an email askng when the remainder of my items will ship, NO REPLY, to this day, no reply. And to top it off, my items that have shipped won't even be here til April, so they used the slowest shipping method possible!! And I still have no idea when the rest of my order will ship.. So this review is based off of two separate experiences with this company. Most recent experience: I thought, let me give them another chance. Big mistake! So, I ordered some shirts from them for Christmas. The shirts were supposed to be here well before Christmas according to ordering details. Christmas came and went. No shirts. I just received my shirts 1/11/2020 and guess what? They are the wrong size. I checked to make sure I put the correct sizes on the order and I did. So at this point you're just being careless and sending people whatever you want. Previous experience: I ordered a shirt from them in February. It arrived late and again the wrong size. They told me to keep the shirt and they would send me one in the right size. Well here we are almost a whole year later and I still have not received a shirt in the right size.
