I stopped in to get a pizza; hadn't been to Godfather's since the 80's in Flagstaff Az., so I didn't know it had become a buffet; it used to be just standard service. I ordered a carry out pizza from polite and cheerful staff and it was done in an ordinary 20 minutes. What spoiled it for me was the discrepancy between the value paid: almost $16, for a meatless (anchovy) medium pizza. It was 6 slices, of no very great distinction. I photographed it with a ruler, I was so surprised at the size of the pizza compared to the size of the bill. Pizza Hut has better pizza and far cheaper (by about $4 per med. pie). The value of this restaurant seems to be in the buffet, priced at $7 or $8, lunch or dinner. Don't order a whole pizza here, just graze and go. The dining room was crammed w/ families having a good time, so it seems a popular place, if noisy and crowded. Definitely not date material, but for eating on the go, seems a good deal for tourists. But no leftovers - even if it isn't great pizza I want leftovers! - so it's just not my kind of place. read more

Beats cicis and Pizza hut buffet, all the pizza was fresh and they had fried chicken and a mixed vegetables, which is odd to me. I tried a drumstick and it was tasty. The amount of sauce was perfect and had a savory taste instead of overpowered tangy taste, which I like. They only had 4 pizzas when we walked in but it grew into about 8 by the time we left. The salad bar was clean and we'll laid out albeit had some wierd stuff on it. Like cranberry sauce. It was 26$ for 2 buffets and 2 drinks. The facility was really clean even though they were busy. Also the person that helped us was amazingly friendly and helpful. We ordered the 'meat lovers' and super supreme - both were amazing! We tried the original and crispy thin crusts and enjoyed both. We tried it because of my memories from a Godfathers in Tulsa (no longer open). Ate there for lunch today, really went for the chicken. The chicken was hot and juicy, about the same to get a dinner as buffet so got the buffet. I must say the salad bar and chicken was all I ate. The Mac and cheese was mushy, did not try potatoes and gravy, did have a few green beans not great, but not too bad. I have had their pizza in the past not something I would ever eat, it's just not good so if you are looking for chicken I say give it a try, even for takeout. What a great buffet! In Enid, Ok, Godfathers was a treat as a kid but I haven't been to one in 30 years. Was so excited to see there was one in Branson! Took the kids on our first night and was by far our best Branson dinner! The staff was friendly, pizza was amazing, chicken was a delicious surprise, and being able to request specific slices was just awesome! Would definitely recommend and wish there were more in Texas! Worst pizza buffet place ever. Took a family of 5. Had to sit around and wait for pizza to be brought out to the buffet. All they had was nacho flavored, and buffalo chicken. They didn't even have basic pepperoni. When we requested to the manager, he gave us the evil eye. The service was poor not to mention the selection. I've been visiting the city for a week and haven't been a fan of the restaurants in Branson so far. The country themed restaurants have fun atmospheres but quite frankly have nasty food. Godfathers doesn't have any of the country gimmick and won't force you through a show while you eat. The restaurant is quiet and the food is beyond delicious! They kept bringing out fresh pizzas and it's not just pizza they have a nice salad bar and fried chicken it was perfectly seasoned and piping hot also fresh green beans seasoned with bacon, mashed potatoes and cream gravy they also have fresh squash and carrots but the squash and carrots were a little under done, and dessert pizza also. In a town full of buffets where you are pushed in and out quickly, I didn't expect much after a long day. All I can say is WOW. The food was chain pizza with a twist, but I have NEVER seen service like this at a buffet. I was astonished that teenaged employees understood that service matters. We asked when a specific pizza was coming out, it was brought to our table. They told us everything that was on deck. The place was spotless and they cleaned our table constantly. Food ok, service amazing!! I would say that if you want a salad or pizza or both, this place will at least fill you up and you won't feel like you were treated like a number. Buffet also contains Mac and cheese, a salad bar, fried chicken, bbq chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, mixed vegetables, pasta, and more.
