Well, I was pleasantly surprised when my daughter brought over a Pie. An Actual NY Pie. Half Pepperoni. A taste of Home in Clarksville. Bravo! I will be coming back here for all my Pizza Pies. First time reviewing NY Pizza Depot here, but my family enjoys their pizza quite often! How is it that I have not done a review?! I have so many photos of our visits. Haha. It is usually a no electronics device day ... or my phone battery died. Ha! The pizzas are humongous and can feed a family of four easily. We usually get a custom half & half pizza. Wings are great, so you definitely have to order early before they run out. That has happened a couple times for us. My little guy absolutely loves this place. I love the new tables with bench seats they added. The decor reminds me of an old diner with the checkered flooring. There are board games and TVs for entertainment. My son asked one of the workers to play a game of Connect Four with him. She was super sweet and did so when she had a break while there were no customers waiting for pizza or to place an order. I think most people order for takeout or for delivery, but we enjoy dining in. It's a comfortable and casual restaurant that feels like going over to a friend's house for lunch ... or dinner. We think the pizza is tasty and worth the price (since they are extra large)! They have a billiards table in the back also, if you want to play pool. Just need to pay in order to play! Not sure what else is going into the back... could be a little stage for some performances? Not sure. I'll ask next time.

I can't leave tips for this business, so I'll just put them here:…read more 1) This business is meant to replicate Chicago-style pizza, to include the overall experience. If you've never been to Chicago, you have no idea of the significant difference between what the rest of the country calls pizza and the pure gem that is Chicago-style pizza, so don't ignorantly review this spot with ignorant assumptions that it's just like the rest. 2) Part of the experience of Chicago-style pizza is the waiting period. Eating pizza in the midwest INCLUDES a long wait time because they make it fresh on the spot when you order it. So expect a wait! Playing table games or good conversation is what is usually done during this time because spending time with your family is PART OF THE EXPERIENCE. 3) Chicago-style pizza is often referred to as "pie" because it's just as deep as an actual pie. Also, the sauce is ON TOP of the pizza, while the "toppings" are the inside. I have been waiting forever to get a pizza from here! They said it was "Chicago-style", but if you've ever eaten pizza in Chicago, you know it truly is a style all its own, so I was anxious to see if their claim is accurate. Anyway, I'm beyond excited to report that, yes, it definitely IS just like buying a pizza in Chicago! Woohoo! We only ordered take out but I do want to eat in for my next visit. They have various table games to play while waiting for your pizza to be cooked-so cool. Staff seemed to be very courteous, but again, it was only take out, so not much time to accurately gauge staff interaction. Looking forward to eating in! Thanks for bringing the infamous Midwest cuisine to Clarksville!

Went in there tonight and was told that it would be about an hour for a deep dish. The waitress was…read morefriendly. I asked her when would be the best time to get a deep dish and she says it always takes 40-45 minutes and you can call ahead and order even if you want to eat in the restaurant. I said well that's funny because we did call before and no one picked up the phone and couldn't leave a voicemail because the mailbox was full. She went on to talk about the hostess and her not doing her job or why they even have a hostess but not her problem. Anyways, so we don't want to wait that long so we get sandwiches and fries instead. Still took an hour to get our food and our sandwiches were cold. Fries were hot but extremely salty. If we had known that the food we had ordered was going to take just as long for the deep dish then I would have ordered that instead or at least give me the option to leave. While we were there 4 customers walked out. Won't be back, unfortunately.

My first thought when we walked in was that the restaurant must be busy all the time, and the tips good, because they had several servers whizzing around taking care of their customers. Good beer and drinks are a given (several house brews), but the food was amazing. We ordered fried green tomatoes (pimento cheese on top) and roasted brussel sprouts, so we could nibble as we drank. Then for dinner: the prime rib au jus sandwich, the Reuben, the Patty Melt, and the Cletus (Southern through and through). Our Toddler ordered the baked Mac N Cheese (good sized serving and looked delicious--lots of cheese and perfectly browned--and a side of fruit). Everyone was happy!

I had a couple of hours to kill before a tattoo appointment across the street (reviewed separately)…read moreso I stopped here for lunch. It was very busy around 12:30 mid-day, but I was seated immediately. There is downstairs and an upstairs that looks over the first floor. They have a huge menu. Lots of pub fare. Beer cheese, nachos, various pizzas (tons of combinations, most with lots of meat, and you can create your own). They also have flatbreads (again, several combos, some veggie, some meaty). Entrees include steaks, pork chops, grilled chicken, chicken tenders, salmon, and shrimp tacos. Large selection of sandwiches (turkey, clubs, BLT, reuben, prime rib). And at least 10 different types of burgers. I had the cowboy, made with Monterey Jack, bacon, sautéed onions, mushroom, lettuce, tomato, and pickle). Huge burger (I only ate half). The fries were hot and tasty. The burger arrived medium as I had ordered and the produce seemed fresh. The mushroom and onion flavors were lost somehow, and the burger could have used a little more seasoning, but overall solid for being local to Clarksville. I had a couple of cocktails, some type of margarita with cranberry, and a basic mule. They were fine, but nothing special and nothing I would order again. They have a ton of beers here, and that's what they are known for, so if you're a beer drinker, that's your best bet. They have brunch on the weekends. My server was attentive and kind.

Disappointed to say the least…read more I've been a loyal customer and fan of Michael's for nearly 30 years -- back when they were just a tiny place in St. B. That's why this experience was especially frustrating. Today, I ordered two pizzas and was really looking forward to their cheese dip with the little dippers. When we received our order, the cheese dip was missing. Mistakes happen, so I called to let them know and see how it could be resolved. I had paid $7 (plus tax and tip) for that item. The first response I received was that the manager said "sorry" and that they would make sure it didn't happen again. While I appreciate the apology, that doesn't fix the fact that I paid for something I didn't receive. When I asked if I could at least receive a credit for next time, I was told no -- they could only credit the cheese itself, valued at $2, because of store policy. It's disappointing to learn that when a mistake is made, the policy is not to fully make it right. After being a customer for three decades, this experience has unfortunately changed my perspective

Michael's Pizza - The Best in Clarksville!…read more I don't live near Michael's, but whenever I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by--and I never leave disappointed! Michael's is, by far, the best pizza place in Clarksville. Over the years, I've enjoyed every item on their menu, including pizzas, subs, wings, salads, desserts, and their irresistible frozen custard treats. Every visit to Michael's is consistently excellent; they always bring their A-game. Just tonight, I ordered three pizzas, a sub, and a few pints of frozen custard--I'm all set for the next few days! A big thanks to Luke and the entire team for their exceptional service and delicious food. If you're in Clarksville and craving top-notch pizza (or anything else on their menu), Michael's Pizza is the place to go. Ohh, I'll definitely be back--you can count on it!
