    Plastic from the crust.

Ordered a Detroit style pizza in a Wednesday night for pickup. Gave them an hour and a half notice prior to pick up time. Also ordered a 16" pepperoni. The Detroit's crust was raw through half the pizza. The pepperonis pizza had plastic in the crust; plastic like Saran Wrap, only heavier gauge. This isn't the first time the Detroit style wasn't cooked properly but this was the first time I complained. I sent a private email to let them know but never got any response. I never asked for any recompense; I just wanted to let them know. Nothing back. Unfortunately, this isn't baseball so no third strike for this out. We're done with Saxony.

Nice pizza place decent seating area. It's not a very upscale restaurant but decent interior and staff is helpful and friendly. They have different drinks options in alcohol from tap beer to cocktails to choose from.

So Good!! Went on a Tuesday night got the breadsticks which were flavored nicely and the nacho cheese which was delicious. We also got a 12 Inch Buffalo Chicken pizza, it was the BEST Buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had. I can not wait to go back and try some different pizzas. From the board they have great specials every night and the bartender was very friendly. This may be our new pizza place!

Wow! After searching for great pizza in Indianapolis area for years, I think I found it at Saxony Pizza. The thin crust was crispy, but in no way burnt. The toppings were yum, the appetizers were delish, and our server was sweet and attentive. We will be back soon!

Nice neighborhood pub!! The pizza was absolutely incredible, and definitely worth the price in my opinion! The toppings were plentiful and the veggies were fresh. The dough had an amazing flavor to it as well. You could taste all the seasonings in the sauce too. 10 outta 10! A 12 inch pizza could easily feed 2-3 people with leftovers depending on the toppings. The wings were mediocre. They came with carrots & celery, but ranch was an extra (82 cent) charge... We grabbed a basket fries that were very very salty. I think they used sea salt by accident so we had to wipe them off a bit before eating. We loved the atmosphere of this place. Lots of TVs and a great selection of beers on tap. We will definitely be back, BUT only for the pizza & drinks next time!

The service - exceptional. We ordered the lemon drop martini, Elmo Cola, the Gatsby and liquid love affair. I asked for the liquid love affair to have a very light pour of alcohol and they obliged. Everyone loved their drinks. Even me. And I am NOT a drinker. We ordered shrimp cocktails, lobster bisque, steaks and lobster. Everything so good. My son's steak was overdone but they happily remade it and ALL the sides that came with it. Just immaculate service. We also ordered the chocolate mousse pie. We asked our server to place the candles we had brought on top. Lemme tell you. The service. Just so good. She realized they were sparkler candles so she waited to light it until she was at our table. We did ask the manager if we could present our son his gift during dinner. It was a firearm and we didn't wanna cause any drama or "unsafe" feelings even though, obvi, it wouldn't have been loaded. We did want to respect the establishment and their other patrons. He kindly declined and, of course, we understood. Can we talk about service? Just so exceptional. Customer service for me will make or break any experience. The bills was... A LOT. Even AFTER they comped everything the birthday boy had ordered. But even if they hadn't comped ANYTHING... I always believe in paying good money for good food. The place was clean. The bathroom clean. And there is a lot for parking. Just the best time was had.

The event takes place on the patio area, it's small and intimate. It is great for networking and mingling and making new connections. The staff was absolutely amazing and engaged with the crowd the entire night. I felt the vibe that they really love their job. They don't let you know about the menu prior to , which I was a bit apprehensive about but it turned out great! For starters we had some chunky guac, watermelon pico, and some kind of verde salsa with chips. 10/10! The Watermelon pico was new to me and very refreshing!! Next we had some steak fajitas with rice. I was not a fan of the rice and the steak wasn't seasoned to my liking but still a good dish! Lastly we had dessert that put me in the mind of being at the state fair. It was a pastry fried (think like funnel cake taste) and fruit ...so yummy! Now the margaritas! Enjoy as much it as little as you like! I loved experimenting and trying different combos. My favorite was the mango spicy flavor! They said they have these events quarterly or so and I can't wait to go to the next one!

It's not much to look at from the outside - in small strip mall off Fall Creek about 2 miles north of 96th, but the inside is both luxe and comfortably cozy. At just 12 tables, you get your table for the night, so there is no rush and your evening can be as long as you want to make it. They also have a gorgeous little side wine room that you can rent for parties of 6-8 for dinner. And there's a little bar area that seats maybe 4-6. We had reservations for 6pm, so there were only 2 or 3 other tables occupied when we got there, but they filled throughout the night (& we left close to 8pm). Our server Shaunda was delightful, and the owner Dan came around and checked on all the tables a few times as well. We were presented with a cous cous amuse bouche, a nice refreshing bite to start the evening. Hubs had an Italian Old Fashioned and I asked our server to pair wine for me, so it was a Decoy Sauv Blanc with our first course - the mussels. We asked for extra crostinis in order to soak up more of the delicious sauce they came in. Next was the beet arugula salad, so good! For entrees, hubs had the pappardelle bolognaise and got an iced T, and I had the short ribs with risotto, paired with a glass of cab franc. Dessert was coffee (americano) for each of us, and we split the tiramisu (see all my pics). We ate and enjoyed everything! Total with tax was right at 200 before gratuity. So this is more of a splurge place for us, (of course would be less without the beverages we did) but we will be back. It was a really pleasant evening and another big win for me picking birthday places! #yum #ReviewsByRL

Once parked (plenty of parking right outside their door), walking in it is a very intimate, maybe no more than 12 tables or so. We did have reservations, I would suggest making them to be on the safe side since it is so small. As soon as we sat down, our server came right over and explained how the menu is laid out and how the courses are brought out. I will say, this is not a place to go when you are rush. It is meant to be slow, so you can settle in and enjoy your food, enjoy the company and just be in the moment. We were probably there just over 2 hours for just the two of us. Chef Dan came out many times to chat with us and really made us feel welcome. Telling us different stories, walking us through what we were eating, and just made us feel like we were special. While everything was amazing, a few standout things I would like to mention: The Mussels were amazing, such good flavor so if you are fan, make sure you order them. The caesar salad comes disassembled, and the anchovies are sold separately, (I didn't realize it when I ordered it), we ordered a few desserts and they were all amazing. Can't go wrong there.

I ordered the gyro pita and made it a combo with the fries. The gyro came loaded with flavorful, well-seasoned meat--no filler, no shortcuts. But the real surprise of the meal? The fries! Hot. Crisp. Fresh. Perfectly seasoned. My entree stated right on the menu it came with a tahini sauce but was plated with a side of tzatziki sauce. Tzatziki is okay, but I ordered the kabobs literally to get the tahini. The teen-ager working looks at me like I'm crazy, and says that'll be extra. I say, no, it comes with it. She says I already got a sauce. I say yes, the wrong one. The menu says tahini but I got tzatziki. She argues again. I'm like "Why is this hard?" And I point to the menu across the top of the order area. She can't see it from where she stands behind the counter but exasperatedly says she will bring it to me. I was with two others, and neither of them like their food. One offered a wrap that came with fries, unbeknownst to her. The other hadn't jab Med food before, and said she won't have it again. Too bad! There are better places.
