This company performed in exactly the way that dissappoints me and other potential customers may want to consider my experience and at least ask more questions or get a second opinion. I am a long time property manager and call plumbers and trade experts all the time. I have learned discretion. I called this company to look at a tenants 10 year old AO Smith (bought new, commercial grade) water heater. The water heater was making popping noises and she was concerned. The solution was draining the sediment, which can be accomplished in a service call or by any rudimentary handy man in an hour. Guess what I was told? I was told I needed a new water heater at a cost of $4,000. This massive upsale effort is nothing short of disgusting. I drained it myself, problem solved. I wrote this review because the company had no clear way to email them. I could have called with feedback and questions, and I may update this review if aomeone at the company is responsible enough to call me. Until then, it stands and I suggest you get at least two other opinions before replacing equipment at their recommendation. read more

I signed up for the maintenance plan and am extremely disappointed. A tech did come and inspect my HVAC system and recommended replacing it. Since it's 30 years old I have no problem with that recommendation. We got prices from the project manager and when we tried to call him a day or so later with some questions, we were told he no longer works there. We were offered 7% off and when questioned them about the 15% off, we were told that has already been taken off. Apparently the original price was over $21,000.00. My heating system was down for a few days at the end of November. I called Geottls and scheduled an appointment for maintenance. The woman that answered the phone was very courteous, friendly and professional. Appointment was made. When the service technition arrived, he introduced himself as Trevor. I showed Trevor where the furnace was and he went at it. with in 10 minutes he had the furnace running. He noticed two parts of the system that were waring out and suggested I replace them. I did. They had sold and installed two air conditioners in the home we recently bought. So when we had an alert on the thermostat, I called and two men came on the service call. They did not fix the issue and tried to sell us a new module as well as duct and air cleaning, to the tune of almost $10,000. We had another company come out and he fixed the broken wire which had caused the alert in 10 mins. He also cleaned a large clump of dirt on the equipment outside that the other guys never mentioned. Really terrible. We were lucky we didn't just go with them. read more

Just wanted to let anyone know that has signed up for Goettl's annual service contract that you will not receive a reminder BEFORE your cancellation date. They may have noted this in the contract but if your are like me, sometimes you don't read the fine print. If you decide that you do not want to renew be sure to call and cancel prior to your renewal date. If you cancel after you have been charged they will not refund nor prorate the cost. Once charged it is a done deal for 100% of the cost. I would like to add that I did receive a call back from Goettls and they did decide to refund the charge. I do appreciate that they reached out. Hopefully in the future they will send out a renewal notice to avoid the issue and phone calls. read more

I was astonished at the prices they charged me for my last service. I should have said I need an alternative estimate. They have been servicing my unit since new 2019. It's been hit and miss. I will not trust them in the future to service a long term customer they also wouldn't give me an itemized bill. To me that's an indication of being deceptive. LOOK ELSE WEAR I signed up for their AC service contract. Making the appointment for the annual inspection was easy and the tech came as scheduled. Everything was working fine. I don't know what he was doing for almost 2 hours. I think he was killing time so his boss would not send him to any more jobs that day. When he finally "finished" he presented me with his recommendations that totaled $4300. It felt like a high pressure timeshare presentation. He started with the $4300 platinum package. Every time I said no he worked his way down to a smaller package. Finally he said, at a minimum, I really needed to change the run capacitor, which was $830. I am an electrical engineer and I know you can buy that capacitor on Amazon for $16. They should be ashamed of themselves for their business practices. read more

Brandon was on time and gave us two opinions, he could try replacing grommets in O-ring, which might work and less expensive or cut a whole in wall and replace the whole unit. We had a mini split installed May of 2023, had to have them back out to check in June of 2023, and again in August 2023 because Mini Split not working as well as we thought it should. Now July 2024 and it's not working at all, called for service and even though we [ay extra for a service contract they initially said they could not come out for over a week. They were able to send someone out to check it the next day and the service person Matt found it was not working and thought there was a leak and would need to come back with someone to assist him with the repair. Matt told us someone would be calling to schedule the service to get it working. No call by 9:30 the next day so we called and were told no one could come out and fix the problem for almost 2 weeks. This is a second home so this mini split has not been used more than 6 months and I am being very generous with that estimate. I would not recommend this company. For the near future we will need to continue with them as the product has a warranty, but the service leaves much to be desired. read more

He didn't clean the coils he didn't do much for 195.00 dollars. Then had 3 programs ranging from 2800 dollars to 5500 dollars to do repairs. read more

They charged me a flat fee for 1 hour of work to fix an A/C I don't know what he did. I asked if it was the compressor, he said no. $2,180 for one hour of work. The most rude repairman I ever met. These people give the wrong diagnosis and simply want to replace as many parts as possible. Their techs are inexperienced and incompetent and must be paid based on how much they charge customers. They total misdiagnosed furnace issue and gave me a quote to replace it instead of fixing the minor problem it had. Replace AC fan motor and it failed within a day. They don't give good reports on their inspections to support replacing capacitors, etc. I recommend using others. read more

I had the worst summer ever because of Goettls! Last year I was in their Maintenance program. I signed up with them because I wanted to be sure my A/C was in tip-top condition so that I and my 6 cats would be comfortable during the summer heat. I wasn't having any problems with my A/C until they got their hands on it. They came and gave it a clean bill of health and I just asked if they could upgrade my thermostat. When the serviceman came to replace the thermostat, he was careless and shorted out the motherboard to my A/C. It also screwed up something else in the fan. They replaced the Motherboard but it still wasn't working because of the other problem. All in all I went all of July and most of August without cooling. I was miserable and so were the cats. I would never recommend this company. When Ted and Adam owned it, it was a good company. No longer is that the case! read more

Geottls is the worst company that I've ever worked with, whereby they blew out the power in my kitchen and two bathrooms twice, while working in my power box without a license electrician, as well as, didn't fasten down the wires, nor did they put in the right amperage, so it almost burnt down the house according to a licensed electrician that I had to hire afterwards and that was just when installing the air conditioner. Then, they told me I needed a new heating system because my old one wasn't compatible with their air conditioner, which now I come to find out that I never needed it, as it was just a sales scam. After installing the new heater we had countless problems which led to a total of approximately 18 to 20 visits afterwards to try to fix. The first teeter had problems with a switcher inside and then it was decided that another switcher went bad as well. They then removed that heater and had to install a second heater which had two water leaks, due to them installing the wrong size tubing, as well as, they didn't insulate the water pipes that they ran up into the attic and outside to drain the condensation which froze, they had kinks in the hose prior to it going outside so the water backed up and it couldn't drain out and therefore it flowed back into the pump and burnt the pump out. backed up into the pump and burnt out. Then they found out they installed the wrong heater the second time and wanted to come back and and install a third one. But before they could do it we discovered that the head manager named Art lied to us and never followed through on any of their promises, so we sent them away. Obviously, they are the worst company that we have ever worked with and would warn anyone who's listening to this review to go to another company. Now we're forced to go to the R.O.C. and seek legal assistance in efforts to get our money back and get this broken heater out of here. Buyer Beware! read more

Just tried to find out if our warranty was still in effect since our 6 YEAR OLD $7,000-10,000 Central Lennox A/C has a tiny leak! The first guy gave us the run around then said he doesn't work in AZ. Then I called another number on their site because he could not give me a local number . Once I finally found the number the next Bimbo I spoke to says they would have to send someone out for $95 to tell us what was wrong. She could tell me if I had any warranty. They installed the darn thing ! Told her to forget it. The manager then called me back and said sorry but they did find our records and the warranty was up 4 years ago! Lousy stinking warranty for an obviously lemon A/C and likely some line was kinked somewhere but the other company that came to fix it wanted $23,000 to replace it!!! The company that found the link charged nearly $1000 to not find a leak and fill the thing with Freon! Highway robbery! So we are going to the third company on our list to see what we can do. Who has an extra $23K in a 6 year old newly built house that we figured were had 12-15 years of life in it. Our last A/C lasted 24 years. They build crap anymore. Disappointed. read more

Can you believe it? I spent $13,000 and I'm happy! Joe and Tim came to do the full re-pipe in my house in Verde Santa Fe. Excellent work! They were both Hard-working and polite. They were both very easy to talk to and explained every question that I had. They kept the house clean, their drywall cuts were very clean and they cleaned up after themselves. Very nice and welcoming, overall a wonderful experience. Additionally, Murphy's law law, our heater went out and a technician came out and diagnosed the problem and fixed it for a reasonable price. After 15 years one of the units was in trouble so we decided to replace the entire system using Geottl's because of our experience with them and their great reputation. They installed the Trane system in one day including spraying sealant in the steel duct work. We had Goettl's High Desert Mechanical install three heating and air-conditioning units in our home I was impressed with Hank the salesman. He was very knowledgable and efficient. The units were scheduled to be installed in 10 days. When the installation crew arrive at 8:00am their were three Workman. I was told they would have the units installed in one day and they did. They were very professional and installed the pipes and wires with care. They made sure everything was first class. It was like they were working on there own home. They cleaned up leaving no trash or cardboard. They also tested the units to make sure they worked correctly and explained how operate the units. In about one week they had an inspector come out and review the installation. No problems. Working with the employees of Goettl has been a very pleasant experience. The office personel notified us when the installers er coming and filled out all the papers for our warranty. I give 6 star to the Goettl Group for their fine work. Today was my second visit on an annual contract. When I called to set up the appointment, the receptionist said he would not need to get into the attic. When he arrived he said he would need to get into the attic, so I had to frantically pull out stuff from the closet and put towels over the clothes. She also said they had my filter size and that he would replace the filter. He did not replace the filter. I also told her that due to a health condition of mine if the tech did need to come into the house he would need to wear a mask. She said all the techs have masks in their truck. When he arrived and started to come into the house, he had no mask on and knew nothing about needing one. I told him he needed one and he said he ran out. But the way he hemmed and hawd, I knew he never had masks in his truck. After he left, I checked the closet. There was a tennis ball size piece of fiberglass on the floor that he just left there. It's a small closet and anyone would be able to see the fiberglass. And when I checked the hatch to the attic, he hadn't replaced the sheet of insulation that sits on top of it. I took a risk and climbed up a ladder and with a broom dragged the large piece of insulation across several feet of blown insulation and placed it on top of the hatch. This resulted in getting blown insulation and more fiberglass on the floor and all over me. But he sure tried to sell me on installing a surge protector on the A/C for $432 and to renew the service contract for $125. read more

I waited a year to post this review to make sure that the repair done to my air conditioning unit (by a different company) would last over the seasons. In May of 2022, I had Goettl's come out to perform a routine service of my air conditioning unit. The technician that came to the house told me that I needed to have another piece of equipment added to my AC unit at the cost of almost $300.00. He also set me up with an annual maintenance agreement at a cost of over $250.00 which I accepted because I wanted to set up a relationship with a single company to service the equipment. He didn't have furnace filters on his truck to replace the ones on my system and told me he was going to have them delivered. I found it odd that they would not have these on their service vehicles. After he left, the unit did not seem to cool the house properly and I contacted Goettl's again. They sent a different technician out and once he looked at the equipment, he told me that the first technician had installed the added equipment incorrectly and he would correct the problem. He also told me that I might need a new AC unit installed at a cost of around $12,000-14,000 and he would set up an appointment with a sales rep to give an estimate. Concerned that the unit had been working before they "serviced" it, I contacted a different company to look at the equipment. This technician went up on the roof to look at the unit and discovered that Goettl's technician had left the cap to the Freon loose allowing it to escape the system. He recharged the system with freon and said that if there was a leak, it would show up in a few days and the system would stop cooling again. It has been over a year now, and even in this heatwave that Arizona has been in, the unit has worked perfectly. Goettl's called me earlier this spring to schedule the "Service" that I had paid for, and I told them I would not allow them back on my property due to the horrible experience and that I would like someone in management to contact me. They never did. They never even delivered the furnace filters that were included in the agreement and promised. I would NOT recommend Goettl's to anyone looking for heating and cooling services. read more

Jacob was our lead installer and his team of three arrived on time, were very professional and went about the install quickly and efficiently. Very happy with this Costco vender. Jacob discovered a significant propane leak and replaced the propane pipe all the way to the feed source, no more leaky connectors. Had my split unit installed in 2017, within a month it was not working. They came out and said there was a leak at the flair fitting on a pipe. Fixed it no charge. Paid for yearly checkup for 2 years, once again found a leak at the same valve, redid the flair. No heat in Feb this year, they came out said no problem found and that it was too cold for the heat pump to work. OK, $85.00 Now mind you we are part timers, used it for heat twice and airconditiner 5-10 times a year. Came back to the house on July 12, very little air, tech came out and said the schroder valve seat was bad and needed a new valve. The same valve that they said was a bad flair on the pipe. $864 latter, it appears to be working. Sent an email after a few days stating that I was not happy that it took so many years to resolve the problem. Have not heard back read more
