I still feel that go F.E.T.C.H is the best place to leave my dog. I have been brining my dog here for years and have never ever had one issue... NEVER the groomer also does an awesome job on my boy's fur. I would like to also say that person that left a negative review you are allowed an opinion but anal glad issues is not something that a dog can catch. Some dogs can't excrete the fluid and it needs to be excreted groomers do it but it is better to have the vet do it because they actually go in the butt and so it. Also the camera blind spot... REALLY? If you want to see your dog at every angel why attach a selfie stick with a gopro. To give 1 star because of things so petty is crazy. I thought I had already written a review fo these folks but maybe I didn't! We are so glad we hooked up with them. We got Izzy from Irvine Shelter - we've never had a shelter dog before. She about a year old so there are some nasty habits and many things she had never really experienced - like a good structured walk! She was a maniac on a leash! Katherine came to our home in Costa Mesa and worked with us on many things - walks were better after the first session, and she now walks like a pro. Izzy still has a couple of things to work out but Katherine gave us the tools and confidence to keep working with her - it's only been three months and she feels like a different dog. We also take her to the day care and the staff is wonderful - I trust them completely. Not only are you dropping your dog off for care during the day, but they are trainers so you also get some structure. When you purchase lessons you also get to be a part of group class (once or twice a month?) on Sundays. This is a great opportunity to keep working on skills and the classes are free! Our dog is a rescue who had been badly abused. As such, he was super skittish around other people and aggressive with other dogs. We needed to board him as a house/dog sitter was out of the question. We started taking him to GoFetch to get acclimated before he stayed overnight. He shook like a leaf the first couple of times we went in and reluctantly followed the staff into the play area. He was not aggressive with the other dogs and slowly learned how to interact with them. Now, a visit to GoFetch is a regular treat for him. He gets excited when we pull up in front of the location and runs through the door to get to the other dogs. He is social with the humans and has a thoroughly great time. GoFetch provides everything he needs whether it's a half-day play date or a weeklong doggy slumber party, it's his perfect second home. We are so happy he has such a haven at GoFetch. We adopted our basset hound, Woofus, from a rescue. He was 3, had been at the rescue for a full 2 years being "rehabilitated" and chose us as his furever parents. All fine and dandy until we took him home and realize that there was still a lot of work to do.......on US ! Carley came in (free assessment in your own house !) and Woofus was in love with her before she had even fully stepped through the door. She had a game plan but she wasn't afraid to go and try another route when the first one didn't seem to work out too well. I took my pup there to be evaluated for day care and their facilities seem great! I am writing this review as I think it would be helpful to people like me who only train their dogs with positive reinforcement. Be wary as they do use negative reinforcement and punishment by way of collar grabs and spray bottles. Had this been communicated to me before I may not have brought my dog in and I only found out about these by peeking at my dog's evaluation sheet. The best things about FETCH: -Carley (our trainer) was super-flexible. We scheduled our training sessions according to MY schedule. Sometimes we met at my house, and sometimes we met at a park. -My 4 kids were allowed, even encouraged, to be a part of the training. Everyone got to be involved. -Carley had a list of things she thought were important for our puppies to learn (like walk on a loose leash, come when called, refrain from running out of the house when the door is opened). But she also asked us what WE wanted the dogs to accomplish, and she helped us with those things. She has tips for all sorts of doggie issues, like digging in the yard, jumping on furniture and people, excessive barking, grooming. These are the first dogs for our family, so I knew we needed some help with training. This was money well-spent. read more

F.E.T.C.H. is a.m.a.z.i.n.g. We signed up with Carley after adopting a 3 year old miniature poodle named Bella. Our new poodle was eager to please, but much neglected, and needed to start with the basics (housebreaking was a high priority for us!). Carley trained us and our little Bella from day 1. She has taught us a lot about being dog owners. Carley has so much experience with dog and animal training (she has even worked with dolphins!). It's clear from each time you work with her that she really knows what she is doing. Working with F.E.T.C.H. has helped us have a really wonderful, positive relationship with our new pup. We can always tell dogs at the beach or in the neighborhood that have been trained by FETCH!!! I take my dog to daycamp and he loves it. He is extremely energetic and needs somewhere to socialize and release his energy. He comes home tired & hungry from playing with the staff & other dogs and as soon as he's done with his dinner he goes straight to bed. I have been taking my dogs to these guys for a year and half now, and have used all of their services, except training. Since we started going there, one of my dogs has passed away, and their care for him is one of the biggest reasons that I will never take my dog anywhere else. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are a working professional who needs someone to love your dog while you are gone all day, if you need a safe place that you can trust to keep your dog happy while you are out of town, if you need a patient groomer, or if your dog just needs a chance to play with other dogs now and then, this is the place!!! Their customer service is absolutely outstanding. I work in the customer service industry and very have high expectations for the customer service I receive from a business that I frequent. GoFetch does not disappoint! Every time I go there, they are smiling, engaging, polite, and treat me and my dog as if we are the only customers they have. I have also watched them do the same for many others. Sometimes they are very busy, but they never act like they are rushing you to hurry up and just drop off or pick up your dog. They listen intently to my questions and concerns and are never impatient with me. (I ask LOTS of questions). They greet each person who comes in the door, and give them attention. They are also meticulous with communication, which definitely helped to build my trust and increase my comfort level with leaving my babies with them. First, whenever we use the boarding service, they meticulously document all of the dogs' belongings, as well as instructions for food, medication, etc. If any of the instructions are ever unclear, they are very good about double checking. Also, if my dog seems different at all, like not playing very much, doesn't want to eat, throwing up, or whatever, they are very good about letting me know. When I pick my dog up, he always come home tired, so I know that he had fun playing with the other dogs there. Second, Noel, the groomer, is amazing. My dog hates, hates, HATES having his nails cut. It is so convenient to have a grooming service that is already there when my dog is at daycare. I know that my dog gets very aggressive when someone tries to cut his nails, but she always does a great job and is so patient and gentle with him. The daycare service is probably the service we use the most, since I work long hours and don't want to leave my baby home alone that long. He is little, so they have the little dogs play in a separate area from the bigger dogs. The staff members are always engaged with the dogs. They supervise closely, and they play games with them to keep them busy. They also have a very good sense of control over the dogs as they play. If a dog starts getting possessive of a toy, or being pushy with the other dogs, they use their training techniques to defuse the situation long before it becomes a problem. The place is also super clean. I never smell any unpleasant smells there. It seems like every time I go there, there is always someone cleaning, which I appreciate as part of a way that they show they are taking excellent care of my dog. One of the really great things they also have is a shuttle service, for a small additional fee. I cannot emphasize how helpful this has been to me, since sometimes I have to go to work before they open and/or get off work after they close. It is the difference between my dog having to spend the whole day home alone versus playing with his doggie friends because I couldn't sync my schedule with their daycare hours. It is a LIFESAVER! Finally, and most importantly to me, one of my dogs was much older, had severe arthritis and was just generally not feeling well most of the time. I could not keep missing work and school to stay home with him, but felt that he needed someone to watch him when I was gone a lot. Carley, Aaron, Katherine, Adam, and the rest of the crew treated him so gently and sweetly. They made sure he had a comfortable, soft place to lay down when he was tired and not feeling well. They patiently fed him when he stopped eating at home. They gave him so much love and attention, it really eased my mind that he was being cared for by them. It was just the way I would have taken care of him. They made his last year much more comfortable and engaging than it ever would have been if he had stayed at home. Again, because of the amazing care and service my dogs and I have received there, I will never go anywhere else. read more

The staff make this place THE BEST in Long Beach. And now that they've been approved for boarding, they made life SO much more easier knowing that Lexi can stay with awesome, caring people. My pet's face lights up whenever I ask her if she wants to go to daycare. She runs to the door and jumps excitedly out of the car when we get there. And as soon as she gets home from either a half or full day of daycare, she always knocks out snoring. The fact that they have the Low Cost Clinic every month also makes life easier. This review is way past overdue! We have two dogs. A mini Australian Shepherd one year and a German Shepherd seven years. When we first found GoFETCH it was due to their great reviews and the convenience of the location. Little did we know just how fortunate we were to have found this establishment for our very loved pups. Initially we have ran into some issues regarding our older dog, and he wasn't socializing well with the other dogs. Unlike past places who just disregarded him and told us he couldn't be there, GoFETCH actually worked out a schedule to see if he could be acclimated. They explained to us that sometimes older dogs forget how to socialize and we figured out ours also needs routine. After a couple of half days at daycare and with their help he now is able to attend daycare regularly. They saved our lives, and we do not know what we would do without the support they have provided us with. If you care about your pups and want to know they are looked after and understood put your faith in GoFETCH. We rescued our 1 1/2 year old Corgi Mix, Ricky early this year. Our family needed help with working with Ricky. Carley and Katherine have been so helpful. They always greet Ricky with enthusiasm and kindness. He LOVES to spend time in the doggie daycare and always comes home happy and tired. We have taken a couple of group lessons. I was able to bring my 11year old daughter and 15 year old son with me. The instructors were great with helping the kids to work with Ricky. After one lesson our daughter was able to teach Ricky to shake and lay down. They have helped us find special treats to use in training our picky dog. Best day care in LB. I have been bringing my Pup here for about 3 months now and I cannot emphasize how happy I am with GoFETCH. My boy is very active and would tear up the house due to being so bored so that's when I decided to look into day care. I was so worried about leaving him there and how he would be treated but I can't believe how well he did there. They have webcams to ease our (owners) minds and every time I check it out my baby is running around and playing with the other dogs. He gets rubs and attention from the trainers and I feel that they genuinely care about the pups. He has learned to sit and listen so much since going to GoFETCH and now he doesn't destroy anything at home. Every time I drive him there or even mention taking him to play he gets excited, as soon as we arrive he runs to the back, he doesn't even say goodbye to me because he just loves GoFETCH so much. I found Carley on line with FETCH dog training. Not long after she started working with my golden doodle puppy she informed that they were opening go FETCH. It is a wonderful facility, and the owners and staff all really love the animals brought into their care. I have used the daycare facility (especially on days when I need my pup tired) and he is so excited to get inside! It is comforting to know that he loves going to daycare! The grooming services are fantastic. I had heard nightmare stories from others about groomers at other shops not listening to what the owners want. Not so here! I brought a picture, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The pricing on grooming is very reasonable, especially when you have a big white fluff ball that doesn't like to sit still! My boyfriend and I brought our dog for training here and we loved it. Everyone was really nice and Diane, the trainer was really patient with all of our questions and with our dog who could get a little loud at times. I can honestly say I've noticed a great change in my dog after 7 weeks. They covered all the bases and made sure to answer our questions whenever we needed a little extra help. Do not,I repeat DO NOT leave your dog here for day care . As I was dropping my dog off I heard a "trainer" or daycare attended raising her voice at the dogs! This is not a bogus review I have emails from the manager trying to resolve why I left and there should be no reason why the attendant was yelling "NO!" "NO!" at the dogs. I'm not being overly sensitive I'm a DOG GROOMER of 8 YEARS and deal with dogs allll day including biters and difficult dogs and have never raised my voice. So why was she yelling at a day care???? I want my dog in a loving calm environment not a dog boot camp. It broke my heart and I prayed for all the dogs there that were getting yelled at for "correction" which they said why the attendant was raising her voice. 0 stars read more

Never again! I left my dog there for three days...THREE DAYS! She ended up with all kinds of health problems and I have to keep taking her to the vet. She had diarrhea and her stomach was so upset and she was so tired. Also she has an anus gland problem for no reason. My dog was perfectly fine and healthy until I picked her up after going out of state. I AM DISAPPOINTED and ANGRY....their webcams are basically useless because of the blind spot and at night you can't see your own dog. What a joke. We have been taking our puppy Sonny to goFETCH for almost 2 months now and have no complaints! He has attended puppy socialization and is now in the level 2 group training class. Sonny is a naturally shy pup and was hesitant to play or even get out of the corner during puppy play time, but with the help of the coordinator and trainer, we have seen great improvement in his socialization throughout the weeks. They did a great job at pushing Sonny out of his comfort zone little by little. We also started attending the group training classes and we've really enjoyed them because the size of the group is not too large and the trainer is able to dedicate one-on-one time with each dog and it's owner. Sonny was in the first level class for about 3 weeks and has now moved up to the second level since he knows the commands (sit, down, focus) verbally and with hand signals. The trainers really know what they're doing and do their best to assist you and your pup and answer any questions. Overall, we love goFETCH and are thankful for the services they provide! read more

Short Version: Do it! Carley is a miracle worker. Worth every penny. Long Version: We adopted a high energy dog that was already a few years old. No training whatsoever, not even house broken for a day in her little life! We read tons of books, blogs, and websites about training. We knew it was going to take a lot of time and commitment and were ready to put in the work. But, OMG, we got our *** kicked! Within a couple weeks, we would stand outside my front door not wanting to go in because we couldn't image cleaning up one more spot of pee! We also imagined that me and my new dog would be frolicking at the dog beach playing fetch like we see other owners. Uh, no. Let her off her leash, and she was gone running after and humping whatever she could get her little paws on. All of sudden, she doesn't know her name, us, or the allure of a treat. Walks were a hot mess and the only upside is that she is small enough for to pick up if necessary. Finally, we made the call. Carley was very responsive and professional during our phone conversations. She came over for a free consultation as promised and.....wait for it......there was freakin' improvement right there and then!!! Talk about dog whisperer. She would be still for Carley, she would walk next to Carley, and give Carley a lot of focus. Needless to say, we were whipping out the checkbook before the consultation ended. We signed up for a 6 week package where Carley would come about once a week. However, she was and has been really flexible about scheduling. Carley's assessment of our dog and us as owners has been right on the money, and I can tell that she tailors the training specifically to our needs. Also, the training skills that Carley gives you are really easy to implement. She gives you enough to keep you and your dog's relationship progressing, but also seems very conscious about not overwhelming you and building on skills during each session. Only after a few sessions, our dog is now house broken, heels on walks, sits, stays, lays down, is more calm and secure, comes to us no matter where or what, is more friendly with other dogs, and HUMPS NO MORE! I cannot recommend Carley and Fetch more. You won't find better prices for this caliber of training and personal attention. I just picked up my dog Hugo from a grooming session at goFetch and could not be happier with their service and work. Hugo's a rescue dog so he's a bit skittish. He's also extra-sensitive about his feet and face. When the PetCo groomer rejected him because he was too "aggressive," I was worried that I wouldn't find a groomer to take him. Carley and Zuly at goFetch listened to the issues, took the time to make Hugo feel comfortable, and managed to give him a great cut without any issues. He did start to get anxious when cutting the matted hair from his paws and face, so they gave him lots of breaks, wrapped him in a blanket to calm him, and worked with him patiently to get the cut done. They took such care with him; it's obvious how much they love dogs. They also gave me tips on how to help Hugo overcome his anxieties and how to keep his hair from getting matted. After enjoying our 1 on 1 training sessions with Carly, we were so excited to hear they were opening a daycare facility. GoFETCH Doggie Daycare is 100% the best day of our shephredor Becca's life every time she goes! Dogs must pass a temperament test, so between that and the constant supervision, you don't have to worry about your dog's safety. Not only do the trained supervisors make sure everyone's getting along, but they also take advantage of trainable moments. For example, when Becca was being too vocal because she wanted to get a game going, they sprayed her with water to help teach her that barking wildly is not the appropriate way to invite others to play. Also, when I picked Becca up last time, instead of just bringing her out on the leash all excited, they made her sit, calm down, and then brought her through the gate to me. It's these little personal touches that make GoFETCH not just an ordinary daycare. They also have an on site grooming facility and special events like free daycare while you eat breakfast at The Buttermilk Truck that parks in front of GoFETCH the last Saturday of the month!
