Have not had any issues with service. However, setting up an account is a pain in the neck. Unlike all our other services such as electric and gas where all we had to do was call, Goforth makes you drive all the way to their office in Niederwald to set up your account. Incredibly inefficient and very inconvenient. When we moved into our house, my husband had to take off from work to go do this. Also, I like that you can pay your bill online... BUT you must have the paper bill they mail you in order to know the amount. Their website has no customer account you can sign into to see your usage and monthly bill. Again, very inconvenient. It's 2018 now. How hard is it to get a fully functioning website for customers to login and pay with ease without needing a paper bill? read more

CUSTOMER service? I think NOT! A woman called from collections for a family who has NOT had my phone number in 2 years. Daily, I am besieged with bill collectors for this dead BEAT couple. When I explained this to the rep, she immediately hung up the phone with not a "thank you"( NOR a "sorry for the inconvenience"!) Perhaps it was a language barrier. It has been my experience that most of the time when reviewing customer service, I'm doing so with my middle finger... How refreshing the service is at Goforth! Each of these folks are amazing. I have NEVER encountered a utility company willing to work with you in the tough financial times and with such willingness! Most approach from the stance of "Well, you need water, electric, gas, etc." so pay us or you're screwed!" Not these folks! While I have to agree with some of the comments about the signup process for services being a bit "dated" my overall impression outside of a somewhat cumbersome online application process was nothing short of outstanding service. The employee (wish I'd got her name) was extremely helpful, and I have no hesitation giving them five stars. read more

Love the customer service I received from them, we moved here in 1999. There alway willing to help when ever needed.

This past billing cycle my husband and I have had the highest bill ever. It's just me and my husband. We turned our sprinklers off because it was raining so much. We didn't understand why it was so high. And even IF our sprinklers were on they're on a schedule and shouldn't be any different in price. Spoke to the office and they weren't as helpful with rationale for it being high other than "you used this many gallons". But how? They had a water meter guy come out to check things-- he was very unprofessional stating people lie about how much water they use and that other people in our neighborhood say they aren't watering their lawn but they are. Then he asked multiple times if I'm sure we turned our sprinklers off cause our lawn looked too nice-- basically insinuating I'm lying. He initially said we aren't supposed to know how to read the meter cause there can be discrepancies with our reading vs his and will have a dispute. I made a comment about how we aren't supposed to know and he finally said he'd show me. When he tried to show me how they calculate the gallons he couldn't figure it out at first, then he finally got the number they gave him from the office. Extremely insulted and still not sure why our bill was so high. He said could be our sprinklers running when we think they're off or on a schedule -- wouldn't ALL our bills be high if that's the case? If I could pick another water company, I would. read more

Never have any issues with their service in the last 5 years. Just be mindful at the time of this writing that if you choose to pay your bill at their website, it's unsecured. Take note in the address bar, http://www.goforthwater.org. Over by the http there should be a 's', https. The 's' stands for secure, so when you're sending your credit card information, it's extremely difficult for someone to acquire it while you sending the data. So, 2* for Meh. I've experienced better, oh don't forget get a water softener, at least for my area, it's all hard water. read more
