SHAME!!!!!!!!! I purchased my first few homes from Murphy's…read morebecause they were local and part of the community. Now they are the agents for over 30 single-family ranch homes listed for over $1.3 million EACH off Glendale Road in Florence. Haven't the residents on Glendale Road suffered enough with the dump? The unsafe road? Why is a local real estate business working with a greedy, belligerent builder to make this area more unsafe?? So much for advocating for what's best for the residents of Northampton! I guess they are only worried about lining their pockets. Craig Della Penna was the realtor on my third house. I thought he was an upstanding man, but I guess as he ages money is his only motivation. It's a shame This complex is terrible for Northampton and most of all it's going to make an unsafe road deadly dangerous. Shame on you, Murphy's! I thought Northampton was worth more than that!! This is supposed to be affordable housing! Please explain to me how $1.4 million is affordable???

I do not recommend working with Ilene Berezin to sell your house. I wanted to sell "as is" but…read moreevery time a buyer asked for me to do/pay for something, Ilene told me I had to and didn't suggest negotiating costs. So, I ended up selling the house not "as is". It shouldn't have been listed as such, as there was nothing wrong with it and I didn't realize that it would scare off buyers. Also, she listed the house too low; after a couple of months I insisted she raise the price. Ended up selling $13,000 higher that she originally listed. Her knowledge of the market was inadequate - the house should have been listed higher at the beginning. Should have sold for at least $8,000 more than it did. She's a buyers agent - seemed to be more accommodating to the buyer and I felt she didn't adequately represent me, the seller.

Throughout the process, Lisa was highly responsive and professional. Her long experience as a realtor was very helpful since this was our first property sale. She made several recommendations that were important right from the start of the sales process. I highly recommend Lisa for these reasons. She's a highly intelligent, hard-working, capable agent, and a comfortable person to deal with during a complex series of showings, inspections, and through the closing process. Thank you Lisa!

I rented an apartment through them- found it on Craigslist and they coordinated everything between…read moreme and the owners. The owners lived in Florida and it caused some big miscommunications. First, the house was A MESS when we moved in. We asked during the walk through if it would be cleaned and the realtor (Holly) said she had already done enough. We asked about the filthy rugs and she said she had vaccumed them and that the owners wouldn't be willing to do anything else. There was literally mouse poop on the kitchen floor and they just suggested to get an exterminator. Should've walked away when we had the chance. Landscaping and snow removal were included in the lease, but then we were told landscaping wasn't actually going to be included because we had a dog. Ok, then winter came. One.. two.. three snow storms and no one ever came to plow our driveway as planned. We reached out to the owner, who was obviously out of the loop, and she tried to track them down. Of the 10 times it snowed, not once did a plow person show up. After we called and emailed, they showed up once at 6pm... we had already shoveled our cars out. The refrigerator wasn't working when we moved in, also. Apparently it had been unplugged with a bunch of ice inside, which melted and then refroze.. blocking the vent to the fridge part. It took SEVEN DAYS for it to be fixed. Not the best first week in a new place. Especially after paying to have the rugs cleaned and cleaning the entire house ourselves. A few weeks later, the oven starting stinking of gas and we weren't able to use it. This time it took over 2 weeks to get a new oven. (Lotsss of take out our first month there) To top it off, Holly told us the statement of condition/walk through wasn't something they did, and never put our deposit in an interest bearing account (both MA state laws). When we moved out, the owners tried to have us pay for the rugs to be cleaned and didn't want to refund our deposit. The house also had a history of lead/Deleading, but the realtor didn't have any of the paperwork. I had to track down someone from the town's office for the inspection report, and I also had another inspection completed for piece of mind. For charging a $500 realtor fee, you'd think they would do something, anything, told hold up their own responsibility in renting out a unit. They didn't even follow standard state laws. I definitely don't recommend working with this group.

My seller's agent, Kathy Zeamer met with me and helped me plan a realistic schedule to cleaning out and preparing the house for sale. Kathy has an amazing rolodex of contacts for getting things done like tree work, basement sealing and painting, and rubbish removal quickly and reasonably priced. Kathy prepared a thorough report on comparable properties and helped set a reasonable price for our property that had few comparables. She ran an open house and even unstopped a toilet after one of the viewers plugged it - I never thought that would be a seller's agent service! Kathy was there through the entire sale. I had moved, and was no longer able to be on site, and she handled all of the last minute issues before closing. My house sold quickly and at near asking price, which means that it was correctly priced and well represented. She earned her commission and I am ever grateful.

COVID-19 Wedding We…read morefell in love and booked this venue a year in advance. Due to COVID-19 restrictions put in place by The Governor Charlie Baker we were unable to hold our wedding as stated in the contract, a contract that we had paid in full. We had to forgo our wedding becuase of the Pandemic and ALL of our vendors except Mill 1 refunded us and were extremely gracious. The owner believed that he was not in breach of contract even though we paid for a space for 50+ guests, a dance floor, & a bar which due to COVID-19 he was unable to provide any of those things. its NO ONES fault that these restrictions were put in place it just comes down to being able to provide what was paid for. None of us would have thought a year ago that we would be "social distancing" and wearing face masks everywhere we go. The owner stopped replying to emails after we asked him straight up (so he would simple have to say YES, he can provide us with was was in the contract or NO, he cannot. ) We had to get our lawyer to reach out and inform the owner that he was in fact in breach of the contract & that further action will be taken if he continues to refuse to return our money. Of course the morning after our lawyer was in touch with him we got an email back from John. This time stating that we could have our wedding at Mill 1 BUT with only 25 people inside or with 100 people outside at another location outside the building of Mill 1 (which by the time our wedding date came around was no longer allowed in MA due to further restrictions put into place). But that is simply thats not what we paid for and were promised by our conrtact that we had signed and paid in full. We paid for the gorgeous building and the ambiance it provides. Not something out in the parking lot with less than half the guests we wanted. John would still not address the fact that we couldnt have a dance floor or a bar. He told our lawyer that he would give us half of our money back but only if we signed an NDA (non-disclosure act) so we couldnt inform the public on how he chooses to run his business no less how he chooses to treat consumers during a PANDEMIC. Our lawyer asked him for that in writing...we never got it. Spoke to our lawyer today (7/29/2020) and we have to formally sue the venue, John Aubin had no response to the letter our lawyer sent over on 7/21/2020. Today is 9/8/2020 and yesterday we finally recieved some kind of correspondance with the venue. We got an email from Regina (event coordinator) asking us if we would be using the space on 9/12/2020 for our wedding. Our attorney reached out to the venues owner John Aubin on 9/5/2020 to inform him that we would be continuing with our choice to not modify our wedding that we had paid in full for & that he could reach out at any time prior to discuss options but either way we would be continuing with legal action against Mill 1. We got no response from him. The email from Regina was fowarded by us to our attorney who kindly informed her of where we stood on the matter. Please note that Regina also mentioned that we needed to respond to her by 9/8/2021 (yes, she said 2021 obviously meaning 2020) so they decided to reach out at 1am, on a Holiday weekend, only 5 days prior to our original wedding date, and give us 1 day to respond, ONLY after the owner recieved notice that we would be persuing further legal action, coincidence? We dont think so either. Today is Monday, 9/14/2020 - our wedding was supposed to be a few days ago, no word from venue. Today is 12/30/2021- Yes, the end of 2021. We haven't heard a thing from John Aubin BUT we got an official court date today. We will see him in court January 26th 2022. Today is 1/26/2022 - Court was cancelled DUE TO COVID (ironic isn't it?) 4/13/2023 TWENTY TWENTY THREE- we've been to multiple court dates and John's tactics have works, we're exhausted new parents and we can't do it anymore ‍ anyways, a word of caution, stay away. We've spoken to SEVERAL other couples who have also had to sue the venue and WON (they got their money back thank goodness)

Not only…read moreare they organized and fair, but they also have a fantastic, friendly, and incredibly responsive team. I don't understand why so many reviewers complain about "realtor fees" since that is part of the business and they are very up front about it. You either pay it and get the place or you don't because you don't like the fee. I really don't see the big deal. And look, I'm not rich or affluent or anything like that. I just believe that if one doesn't agree with a service, that person is not obligated to partake in that transaction. So anyway, on those two occasions of working with Rentnoho, they were very comprehensive and communicative. Both locations were excellently suitable to my lifestyle and both worked out magnificently. They took away a lot of the head ache that typically comes with the apartment seeking process. I definitely recommend them!

I went to great lengths to help my dad deal with the lack of support he got from this company when listing his apartment. The owner is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Based on her behavior and reactions to emails/messages, you can tell she regularly gets negative feedback on the way she runs her business. If she had pride in her company at all, she wouldn't treat her customers in a rude and demeaning manner. I got feedback from many potential renters saying that they would prefer not to work through rentnoho, and now I know why. I do not recommend this company. If you're new to the area, you're better off getting an apartment through Facebook marketplace than this company.
