Use to LOVE Gogi House but this place is definitely falling short! We came here a few nights ago after the other place we went to had an hour wait. We got to Gogi and surprisingly the restaurant was only half full on a Saturday night... so we did get seated right away. Well just like a previous post, It seems like all the workers there hate their jobs. Was asking for basic things when we first got seated like straws for our drinks, lemon wedges for our water, a fork since my nephew can't eat with chopsticks, but the staff acts like it's so inconvenient for them to do anything for you there. Literally had to ask twice and still things were never brought... except for one waitress who tried to be helpful. At one time, my husband had to get up to get my nephew a spoon since nobody was paying attention. All the staff just hangs out in the back talking . Also, they currently have a B rating. They brought our steak out, frozen for us to cook ourselves and the meat tastes old. There banchan is pretty sad too for the pricing. The worst part of our experience was, my husband accidentally spilled his water at the table. The owner comes up to him and literally handed him a towel and says "here's a clean towel" and walked away! I was shocked! Didn't try to help clean it up himself or send anybody over to help us. My husband literally had to clean off the table and the floor where the water had spilled. Thanks! We already have to cook our own food now you want us to clean too. Nobody offered my husband to refill his drink or to replace the food that got wet until the girl waitress came by who was a little bit more helpful. No wonder the other place has an hour wait. Every time I asked for stuff they wouldn't even respond and would walk away before I even got to finish talking. Plenty of K*BBQ spots much closer to home, so why drive an hour for it?! Because my girlfriends from junior high and I were due for a meet and they are worth the drive! (They picked the place, no complaints here, I would have driven further if need be.) We came through at opening hour so we were seated as soon as everyone in our party was present. Couple things to say. Im sure our server(s) are good people , but seems like they didnt want tip? Werent very attentive to us and when we asked for stuff we felt as if we were bothering them. Now for the food. Youre going to charge 50$ per person for mid food quality and poor service ? The brisket comes completely frozen and is cut pretty thick which makes it chewy, at least make it thinner. The fried rice is horrible, seems like they just add vegetable oil and some carrot slices and call it fried rice. The shrimp tempura comes frozen from the store and tastes watery, the tempura sauce does not have flavor either. Side dishes like the bean sprouts have no flavor, shredded raddish is okay, and the kimchi doesnt taste like traditional kimchi, it has a weird lemon flavor to it. The salad given to us also somehow lacked flavor , tasted more like water than the actual salad sauce they put on it. Anyways, at least they give you froyo at the end. read more

Service has consistently been rude and unfriendly. I have been coming to Gogi house for over 13 years now living in Santa Clarita. When we first came here the place was a great spot for good food and something different compared to all the other locations. The price was 21.99 for lunch and 25.99 for dinner. Fast forward to today and not a single thing on the menu has changed except the price. Lunch is now 39.99 and dinner is 44.99. My son and I stopped in last week and ate dinner. $108 for the two of us. The food is decent, nothing to write home about but the price can no longer justify the meal. It has been the same menu options for over 12 years now. I happened to see the owner and mentioned to him the price has gotten outrageous for dinner. He said well everything has gone up! Well I guess so! Keeping the price reasonable should be one's top priority . You can go to Ruth Chris and get a steak dinner for 2 for nearly 150 total. The price has pushed me away. I can honestly say there are too many other options in the valley to return here. Thanks Gogi for the good ole days, but the time has come to move way past this over priced restaurant. Went there yesterday with my family. The chicken wasn't great like you couldn't taste the seasoning. The fried rice didn't have much flavor neither. I went there because online I saw a price of $45.95 for the all you can eat and on my table as well. Didn't really pay attention to the bill yesterday but today I noticed that I was charged $49.95. I called them and a gentleman said that he changed the price about a month ago, but yet it wasn't changed on the paper menu that was on our table. Also online it's still shows the price of $45.95 which is incorrect. Lastly the vents above us didn't work so well so as I was cooking my food the smoke was terrible for my eyes. Although it may be on the pricey side, Gogi House offers incredible flavor, amazing sides, quick service, and a nice ambience. There are many options to choose from. Some staples are the Bulgogi and Kalbi, however, they also have some more exotic options if you feel up to it. The frozen yogurt at the end is the perfect way to end your meal. read more

Disappointing Experience, Won't Be Returning We had a terrible experience dining here. Came in with my wife and kids (who weren't eating just with us because we didn't have a babysitter). My wife and I decided to go with the all you can eat option since the à la carte menu was close to $30 per plate. We clearly explained to the waitress that our children wouldn't be eating or ordering anything. Not long after, what appeared to be the manager came over and insisted that the entire table must order all you can eat. We explained again that the kids weren't going to eat or even drink just quietly sitting with us. Despite this, we were told it would be $25 per child just for them to sit there, which is absolutely ridiculous. Rather than argue, we asked for the check for the single beer and soda we had ordered and left. Being charged $50 just for our kids to sit with us is outrageous. This was my first Korean BBQ dining experience. My Kids are regulars there so, it was nice to be greeted as such. Our server was Nancy. Her effervescent personality and attentiveness made our meal so enjoyable. All of our appetizers, entrees, sides, and sauces were delicious. And...each were very generous! Not only is this the BEST AYCE Korean BBQ but we think it is the BEST Korean BBQ period! Quality of meats 10/10 Garlic beef and boneless short ribs are my favorite. Ah yes, Gogi House. What can I say? Let's start with the food, it's excellent. The meat comes out fresh, well-marinated, and full of flavor. Of course, you have to cook it yourself, but their grills are decent enough. The only downside is the exhaust system: smoke lingers, and you'll walk out smelling like KBBQ from head to toe. Now, the service... that's another story. The lead server or manager comes across as unfriendly, almost like he doesn't want you to ask for more food. For an all-you-can-eat place, that's a problem. It feels like their strategy is to keep customers from ordering too much by disappearing once the meal gets going. At first, they're attentive, but after the first round of meat, good luck finding someone. Need a refill? Grill change? Another order of meat? Suddenly, no one's around. If you're the owner reading this, please know: the food is great, but your staff is MIA when it comes to service. We came for all-you-can-eat, not hide-and-seek. Okay, lets talk about the reservations system that everyone and their mother is upset about. The reservation system is perfect and I love it! So, stop complaining about the reservations. I'm pretty sure the owners created it to make it easier for the people dining and for their staff. We made reservations for 8pm and arrived 20mins early, checked in and let them know that we were early and they were able to seat us 10mins prior. Thankfully too because once 8pm rolled around, they got slammed! Once we were seated, the waiter came up gave us the paper menu to check off what you want and water. We got an array of different meat, bulgogi beef, steak, pork and beef tongue. Their appetizers were also FIRE! The ban chan hit the spot, their crispy dumpling perfect and their kimchi scallion pancake was delicious. I love that they give a little ice cream cup to at the end to cleanse your pallet. They didn't rush us and were very prompt on refilling water and soda. We'll definitely be back and fill our bellies with all their delicious meats and appetizers. read more
