You will either love it very much or maybe not, but we definitely enjoyed our very first visit for sure. It's in the Santa Clarita/Valencia neighborhood, so to have a Vietnamese Pho HA 888 and a Lee's Korean BBQ & Tofu House together under one business roof in this part of town says a lot about the place. Customers should appreciate their presence here and menus with wide selections of Vietnamese and Korean foods. The cultural food marriage pairs very well as you can eat a bit of everything as desired. Good ambiance. Simple and small family style restaurant, but with plenty of tables & chairs inside. It was super hot weather outside/front door facing the hot sun in late afternoon & early evening hours. We were greeted and seated immediately for dine-in. It took about 6-7 minutes after ordering to get our foods. So fast! They were also busy fulfilling takeout orders too. Staffs/owners are high energy folks, very organized, self motivated, and one has an outstanding humor too. The man there was pretty entertaining with a positive attitude, providing excellent customer service as needed. You can feel those good vibes. I had the regular combo beef pho #2 and it turned out to be generous in food portions. Beef was finely sliced and lemon slices were juicy & big. We also tried the #13 BBQ spicy pork rice bowl. Huge! It came with complimentary banchan- fish cakes, kimchi, and cucumbers. All were delicious and big. Foods can easily be shared amongst more than one person per order. Price was decent for the value here. It's unique to find a restaurant that serves a combination of foods from two different cultures. Santa Clarita is looking good these days with restaurant selections. Overall, it's a place where you can dine in like close friends and families and not be judged for your opinions. Pleasant environment. I think it's quite convenient to be located just a few streets away from Valencia Town Center shopping mall where most people would go to dine-out. I am impressed. Come hungry and you will find out what this Vietnamese & Korean combination restaurant has to offer. Very casual place. I would have to say this was the worse pho I've ever had. And it's even safe to say, it was the worse food in general I've ever had. Being Vietnamese, I've eaten a lot of pho in my lifetime and Pho HA 888 was the grossest I've ever tried. When I first walked in, no one was there to greet me. So I stood around for a minute until a gentleman came by and handed me a water. I think he was actually supposed to give the water to another person. After sitting down, I wiped off the old food on the table, grabbed a menu from a different table, and proceeded to wait 10 minutes until a lady came by and asked if I had ordered. My pho came out quickly, but I instantly smelled that something was off. The broth smelled like old cleaning water! The noodles were just a clump that was thrown in, and they were super slimy. And as for the other ingredients, they just gave a few tiny pieces of meat and veggies. Overall, I left the place really grossed out. This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Clarita. Yes, I shamelessly said a 3.5 star rated restaurant is my favorite! Not sure why it got that rating. They treat you like family. The sweet lady even gave us some free kimchi on the side. Service is always quick. The pho isn't the most phenomenal if I'm being honest. The broth is clean and the food is fine. Meat felt a little dry and noodles a little overdone. But it does remind me of my childhood and is very nostalgic. Reminds me of what my grandma would make and I'm not even Vietnamese (Filipino, so close enough lol)! Just has that home made touch to it. That part is so hard to replicate. I will be back! I hate leaving negative reviews about small businesses but please STAY AWAY! Saddest oxtail pho I've ever bought. Hardly any meat, and they don't include the bone. They strip the bone, tendon, etc (the stuff that actually makes the oxtail broth enjoyable) and leave you with a couple slivers of meat. I called the restaurant and was told that they remove all bones and tendons etc on purpose. Would've been great if they were upfront about the portions and removal of the bones. For the price of the oxtail option, I'd expect more meat, or at minimum some bones to add to the broth. Disappointing. Sorry for being Petty Labelle but that was truly disappointing. read more

Coming down from Las Vegas this tops any Pho place i've been to out there ! Service was excellent and the vibe/ambience feels so authentic. I got the 03 combo with some veggie spring rolls, and my girlfriend got the 04 combo which was about $50 decently priced. Quality of noodles and meat were fresh as well as the spring rolls, it took about 5 minutes for everything to come out which was amazing after having a long day at six flags. The chili oil isn't chunky like others which is nice because it doesn't just bunch up into the noodles, it's not as spicy but with a good amount you'll get it to what you want. Not only do they sell food, they also have shaved ice, miscellaneous items for sale in the restaurant, drinks, etc. The place looks a little crowded with junk. We ordered oxtail pho and special pho. Both dishes were just okay. We normally drink some of the broth towards the end when we order pho, but that was not the case here. Broth was not all that flavorful, all I could taste was salt. Cozy spot for good at home vibes and good food. 10/10 no complaints, it reminded me of being at my grandmas house and they give you lots of sides (kimchi, rice, pickled cucumbers etc) for free and the portions are great. Trash and I hate to say it because I am always open minded when I try a new spot but the staff ignored me and couple other customers for 30 mins not even giving us MENUS. One of the customers had asked me how long I waited and they mentioned they were leaving knowing I was there before them and it had been over 30 mins since I have waited for them to notice I was there. Wifey wanted some pho for a late dinner due to traveling so we searched for a nearby pho restaurant and found this place...it's not straight up Vietnamese food since the menu had many Viet items but then there were delicious looking Korean bbq items which a table nearby ordered! But wifey was determined to get pho so that's what we ordered. She had a #1 beef bowl and I ordered a #6 chicken bowl. Both were delicious, but it wasn't served with fresh basil leaves!!! Whaaaatttt???? This is one of the main ingredients that distinguishes a great bowl of pho!!! My wife says I should knock off 2 stars but it actually tastes good so I'm gonna take it easy on them. Cute little place. They even remodeled and did a great job since I was there last (Covid). I wanted to like this place as the last times I ate here over the years. It wasn't terrible. But tonight, i wasn't impressed. I don't like not giving a good review, but it can only help for improvement. I am pregnant and sick and I was craving it. Plus it's always good when im sick. I have PHO enough times a year to know what good quality and good tasting PHO is. My go to place is normally PHO sure off Copper Hill, this place occasionally or this place in Ventura that I love but I didn't want to make the drive. I ordered pho Nam and some veggie rolls on their website at 830pm. I drove over there and it wasn't ready, which is fine. Good Pho is worth waiting for and I had just placed the order ($31 + tax ). When I came in, the man was very friendly and asked me if I was picking up and I said yes. I gave him my name. So I stepped outside and waited. It was now like 850 and he asked me what my name was and to show me the order. He said 3min. So I'm thinking, okay, about 30 min for the order, not bad. I had ordered chili paste with my order and they forgot. I asked for it and she kindly gave it to me. So I started with my veggie rolls and something tasted off about them. Almost sour ? Or something? No idea what. Plus the peanut sauce was sour and tasted bad. I didn't even eat it. So onto the soup, I was hoping for more. Not only was the broth warm, (mind you, I don't live far), PHO has never cooled off this quickly before at other places. So it was rather odd. As I'm noticing this, it made me think that they had my order, made me wait and it was sitting on their back counter for too long. So I had to heat up the broth so I could properly cook the meat (as I am pregnant and that can be unsafe). I added the meat, toppings sauces etc and let it sit. It was just right. Hot enough, meat was cooked. But the flavor was so bland and didn't taste like PHO. I am sad. I had hoped for better and I hope I don't get sick. I don't think I will. I have never not finished PHO. I normally scarf it down. But tonight I didn't finish it. Even with the sauce, I sadly was unimpressed. I hope they can change. Maybe I'll try again next year read more

After a long day at Six Flags this Pho hit the spot. The short ribs were so tender. Loved the chicken dumplings. We ordered the chicken and rib pho. The he service was fast and the place was packed. Yesterday was my first time visiting this place. I walked in intending to purchase a boba drink and was not greeted by anyone. I had a bag with me and placed it on an empty table while waiting to order. Shortly after, two other customers walked in asking to be seated, even though several tables were available. A staff member asked me to move, and I explained that I had not yet been helped or taken an order but was willing to accommodate others. I was there with my niece, and as we were moving, I saw the staff member physically scoot my niece out of the way. That was extremely upsetting. You do not put your hands on a child under any circumstances. The entire interaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The behavior was unprofessional, and no one seemed helpful or pleasant. The tofu soup was awful--it tasted like someone inexperienced just threw tofu into plain broth with some chili oil. There were only three tiny shrimp and four small clams, which felt very skimpy for a "seafood" soup. The service was also not good; the staff was rude and unwelcoming. Overall, the flavors were poorly balanced and unpleasant. To make matters worse, after we got home, both of us had stomach aches that lasted for hours. This is a very small hole in the wall type place in a small strip mall. Jay, one of the owners, is the nicest man and oh so friendly. He makes me feel like family every time I go in. I used to work in the San Gabriel Valley and they have some of the best Pho and Vietnamese food around. At least I felt that way until I ate here. This is hands down the best Pho I have ever eaten. I prefer the brisket Pho, but so many others are delicious as well. They also have delicious Bahn Mi sandwiches. Ask for the special hot sauce they keep in the back. It is homemade and really hot and tasty. The fried rice and egg rolls are fresh and very good too. They make boba drinks if that is your thing, or a delicious green tea. Don't take my word for it. Food took over 25 minutes and all we hear the whole 25 minutes is uber eats drivers coming in to be turned down and told "we're not cool with uber eats anymore no order for you" Both servers are incredibly rude and made sure to make our experience unheard and when we were heard we were both treated as a burden. They put 1 decent sized piece of meat in my pho, and I asked is that all that's supposed to come in it and she said 10 pieces and there was clearly not 10 pieces. Several other customers left full plates and another gentleman next to us watched me continuously get ignored and met with a very insincere apology, I'm disappointed in not only what they call "service" but what they served us as well. Only thing good about the food was the chicken fried dumplings.. not something easy to mess up. I miss the gentleman that used to run the place, he made it a great experience and made everyone happy.
