    Lemongrass shredded chicken banh mi
    Jessica E.

We went here on the way to LA. We ordered spring rolls, lemongrass shredded banh mi, and pho. Pho not pictured. The spring rolls had the peanut sauce that was gross (did not taste like peanut sauce at all). The banh mi was ok, but the bread was not French baguette...just a hoagie roll. Not even toasted all the way.

Two chopsticks scoops worth of meat. Not exaggerating. Ripoff!

I hate leaving negative reviews about small businesses but please STAY AWAY! Saddest oxtail pho I've ever bought. Hardly any meat, and they don't include the bone. They strip the bone, tendon, etc (the stuff that actually makes the oxtail broth enjoyable) and leave you with a couple slivers of meat. I called the restaurant and was told that they remove all bones and tendons etc on purpose. Would've been great if they were upfront about the portions and removal of the bones. For the price of the oxtail option, I'd expect more meat, or at minimum some bones to add to the broth. Disappointing. Sorry for being Petty Labelle but that was truly disappointing.

Coming down from Las Vegas this tops any Pho place i've been to out there ! Service was excellent and the vibe/ambience feels so authentic. I got the 03 combo with some veggie spring rolls, and my girlfriend got the 04 combo which was about $50 decently priced. Quality of noodles and meat were fresh as well as the spring rolls, it took about 5 minutes for everything to come out which was amazing after having a long day at six flags. The chili oil isn't chunky like others which is nice because it doesn't just bunch up into the noodles, it's not as spicy but with a good amount you'll get it to what you want. The broth was top tier and the best one i've had so far. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for an authentic meal! 10/10

I was a bit confused as I entered the restaurant, not knowing whether I had entered the correct place. Not only do they sell food, they also have shaved ice, miscellaneous items for sale in the restaurant, drinks, etc. The place looks a little crowded with junk. We ordered oxtail pho and special pho. Both dishes were just okay. We normally drink some of the broth towards the end when we order pho, but that was not the case here. Broth was not all that flavorful, all I could taste was salt. Vegetables were just looking a little sad, little old, wilted. In addition, they were not generous with the vegetables. One small plate shared between two bowls. Overall, service was good, but I don't think I would come back for the food. Btw, there's only one restroom, so don't hold your pee!

The picture did no justice. This place is really in the cut of the city of Valencia. I stopped by because i was in the area and thought i'd give it a try. I got the kids pho (because i wasn't starving and knew i wouldnt finish!) -- it is listed for 11.99. I also got a refreshing thai tea with boba. My total came out to be 18.33 with tax. The service was great. I was greeted and seated as I walked in. Thank you ladies!

Trash and I hate to say it because I am always open minded when I try a new spot but the staff ignored me and couple other customers for 30 mins not even giving us MENUS. One of the customers had asked me how long I waited and they mentioned they were leaving knowing I was there before them and it had been over 30 mins since I have waited for them to notice I was there. The sec the staff seen and heard the customers leave and tell me "good luck" she asked me have I ordered ... I asked for extra limes they said no and where I was sitting at they never asked or cleaned up the previous person who ate.. keep in mind all other tables weren't empty.. to makes matters worse pho was nasty.. over 3 staff were there and they were unorganized I asked for my receipt she declined so note on semi/ non busy days they will be like this :(

    Where's the fresh basil???

Wifey wanted some pho for a late dinner due to traveling so we searched for a nearby pho restaurant and found this place...it's not straight up Vietnamese food since the menu had many Viet items but then there were delicious looking Korean bbq items which a table nearby ordered! But wifey was determined to get pho so that's what we ordered. She had a #1 beef bowl and I ordered a #6 chicken bowl. Both were delicious, but it wasn't served with fresh basil leaves!!! Whaaaatttt???? This is one of the main ingredients that distinguishes a great bowl of pho!!! My wife says I should knock off 2 stars but it actually tastes good so I'm gonna take it easy on them. But I think if we go again we will try the Korean food...

Cute little place. They even remodeled and did a great job since I was there last (Covid). I wanted to like this place as the last times I ate here over the years. It wasn't terrible. But tonight, i wasn't impressed. I don't like not giving a good review, but it can only help for improvement. I am pregnant and sick and I was craving it. Plus it's always good when im sick. I have PHO enough times a year to know what good quality and good tasting PHO is. My go to place is normally PHO sure off Copper Hill, this place occasionally or this place in Ventura that I love but I didn't want to make the drive. I ordered pho Nam and some veggie rolls on their website at 830pm. I drove over there and it wasn't ready, which is fine. Good Pho is worth waiting for and I had just placed the order ($31 + tax ). When I came in, the man was very friendly and asked me if I was picking up and I said yes. I gave him my name. So I stepped outside and waited. It was now like 850 and he asked me what my name was and to show me the order. He said 3min. So I'm thinking, okay, about 30 min for the order, not bad. I had ordered chili paste with my order and they forgot. I asked for it and she kindly gave it to me. So I started with my veggie rolls and something tasted off about them. Almost sour ? Or something? No idea what. Plus the peanut sauce was sour and tasted bad. I didn't even eat it. So onto the soup, I was hoping for more. Not only was the broth warm, (mind you, I don't live far), PHO has never cooled off this quickly before at other places. So it was rather odd. As I'm noticing this, it made me think that they had my order, made me wait and it was sitting on their back counter for too long. So I had to heat up the broth so I could properly cook the meat (as I am pregnant and that can be unsafe). I added the meat, toppings sauces etc and let it sit. It was just right. Hot enough, meat was cooked. But the flavor was so bland and didn't taste like PHO. I am sad. I had hoped for better and I hope I don't get sick. I don't think I will. I have never not finished PHO. I normally scarf it down. But tonight I didn't finish it. Even with the sauce, I sadly was unimpressed. I hope they can change. Maybe I'll try again next year

We ordered sodas and they gave us cups with ice- makes such a difference.

We always stop here when we are in the area. The service is friendly and helpful. They recommended to call in my order and save about 30% when doing so. Their banh mi is perfect! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the food. We've had vermicelli, spring rolls, all the banh mis and all were delicious. So much flavor!

To be fair, my sister enjoys this spot, so it may just come down to personal preference. I also can't speak to their traditional pho offerings, which may be where they really shine. Based on my experience with the vegetarian pho, however, I don't think I'll be rushing back. Maybe worth a try if you're ordering one of their more popular meat-based dishes, but the vegetarian option left me wanting more.

Even the pickled radish, my daughter's favorite, and carrots were off! They were watery with zero vinegar flavor. My daughter spit them out! Every single bowl of broth tasted sour and awful. The noodles also tasted old and stale. The only salvageable part was the meat, so we just ate the protein because we were starving. Though, the meat was flavorful, the texture was tough and a little chewy. When my mom paid for the check, my husband politely mentioned to our server that the broth tasted sour, just as a heads up in case other customers complained. The server spoke with the kitchen and kindly refunded a portion of the phos back to my mom's cc, which was appreciated. If you looked at our table when we left, it looked as though we barely touched our meal. In our haste, we should have just returned the porkchop, too. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.
