Frank has octopus-like skills working the front desk of this crazy little store that sells myriad services. Where else can you mail a package, get a passport, sell used textbooks, rent a U-Haul, or by herbal products? He's always friendly and for a one-man show pretty entertaining and efficient at peak times. Highly recommended. read more

Goin' Postal, catchy name or what? Goin' Postal is so convenient. First of all, I hate shopping, so I do my shopping online. So if I have to return something, or mail something, this is the place that I go to. This is much more convenient than going to the post office. Frank (the owner, I believe) always says Hi, and is very pleasant and very helpful. He does a bit of everything. Buys back books, notary service, USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, sell cards, passport photos, and whole lot more. read more

I dropped off a FedEx package here on Monday. Got a tracking number receipt. Today I was not able to track the package that contained a $335, time sensitive blood test. I called the store to check the number. I talked to a man and told him my tracking number is invalid. Epically of no help. I then called FedEx. I was told by the customer rep to go back to the store where I dropped off the package because my tracking # was never put in the system. I went to this store. The man said he was not responsible because it was a drop off. The man became quite angry. He kept speaking over the conversation I was trying to have with the lady at the register. He would not let her look at my drop off receipt. He called me a "liar" when I told him FedEx told me to go back to the store to verify if the package had been mailed. Then he supposedly called the police on me identifying me first as "black" then corrected himself saying I was "white". To her credit, the lady was finally able to tell me that I needed to contact the doctor's office for help (this done while the man was supposedly calling the police). The doctor was the sender. I had merely dropped it off after my doctor appointment. For the record, I am a 71-year old, woman with gray hair. I have never been treated this horribly by any merchant...not even close. No customer should be subjected to a store owner's venting or being called a liar. BTW, during the entire encounter in the store, I never raised my voice or used inappropriate language. I cannot say that about the store owner. And the mistake of giving me a tracking number that they never entered into the system was their fault, not mine. I just wanted to find out if my package was actually mailed. Be forewarned: This store is not liable for FedEx drop offs. If your package is damaged or cannot be located, (even when the error was theirs for giving an invalid tracking number never entered into the FedEx system), they are not responsible. read more

Made a UHaul reservation for 8am using the 24/7 truck share option, which means you can pick up and drop off your reservation after hours. I get there at 8AM and apparently, this shop forgot to set up my reservation and I have to wait an extra hour for the shop to open. I called UHaul and had the reservation transferred elsewhere. Moving is already stressful enough, so this shop needs to do better. read more

PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague! Frank will lie to your face if you rent a UHaul from them. Specifically told me that if I return the uhaul on Monday it was a ONE day rental. Then when I turn it in on Monday, the story changed and now it's a TWO day rental. Then he gets loud and verbally abusive, doesn't take much to set this guy off. I'm only sorry there weren't more customers to observe his behavior. Again, save yourself the trouble and visit ANY other postal location in the area! read more

Do not, I repeat DO NOT go here! I attempted to drop off an Amazon return. The package was completely packaged and the return label was affixed (and already paid for by Amazon). The lady at the desk said "we have a $1.00 drop off fee". I looked at her and told her that was ridiculous! Every other store takes these packages for FREE! The shipping was already paid for, it was already packaged. I've been returning packages to Amazon for years and this is the first store I've gone to that charged for "dropping off"!! Family run place, courteous staff and they've gone out of their way to help me ship my custom paintings. In comparison to the UPS store they ship much less expensive and quicker. They helped me package my paintings and get them to where they needed to go without a bunch of extra fees. If you're going to have something shipped it might take them a little longer than most places but it's because of the custom service. I have to respect that kind of hard work. read more

This is family run business and it is very convenient. I've been back three times because I ship things out often and when I'm working from home it is easier than driving to UPS. Each time I've shipped an item the shipping label was created in a very timely manner and shipped out quickly. Today I stopped in to ship something off and needed to buy an envelope, unfortunately I wasn't aware of the $5 card min and my total was $1.75, they recommended buying something small to add up to $5 but I didn't want to pay way over the amount of the envelope just to make the purchase. I scraped together $1.50 in change and thankfully the man working said that was okay. He didn't have to do that and he seemed frustrated but I am very thankful he did. I'm just leaving this place & all I needed was to fax a 1 PAGE document.The lady didn't tell me how much it would be before she grabbed it from my hand.She simply grabbed my page,rudely asked me to write it on pg,then went & faxed it.Then proceeds to tell me how much it was,which was $2.00.I give her my debit card & she rudely says,"We don't take anything under $5! So buy something if you need to." I told her forget it,I would go somewhere else,as I'm not spending money on something I don't need to! She rolled her eyes & told me to go get cash from CVS.I grabbed my pg & said she could keep her confirmation pg & Im going somewhere.She THEN said,"I'll take your debit card." I dropped by, thinking they provided post office services, and they do, but with a HUGE surcharge, that they don't tell you about. When I asked what the surcharge is, Thalia wouldn't tell me, and went off saying "you don't know how much Target increases their prices, so why should we have to tell you what our surcharge is?" I know that the package I ended up mailing with them (but won't ever do again) would have gone Priority Mail (2 day shipping) for less than what they charged me to send my package regular mail. It is messy in the shop, and prices are not clear. The attitude was negative (she even told me my handwriting was hard to read) and I wouldn't recommend and will not be back myself. read more

Fed Ex 2 identical packages for 2nd Day Air; 2 different addresses. Cost A BUNCH compared to others!!!! Received one tracking number. Called back to local "Goin' Postal" to get tracking on 2nd package, only to be spoken to rudely, unprofessionally, and ultimately hung up on. VERY RUDE and UNFRIENDLY!!! This isn't the first time either! Would've gone to the other Fed Ex pick up/drop off up the road, but they were closed for the Holiday....I'll wait next time!!! Horrible experience! I went there last week to purchase a box for a package that I was sending. I was told they needed to take my package to the back to measure to find the appropriate size box. All of a sudden my package was wrapped in a homemade box without my permission. I had tape bubble wrap and a black marker in the car to do everything myself and I surely could have went to Lowe's to buy a box. I stopped at this place out of convenience. It was the absolute worst experience at a postal service that I have ever dealt with. So I ended up paying $15 for a homemade box and some so-called packaging service that I could have done myself if someone had communicated appropriately that they were creating a box in the back. This may be a family-owned business and they may be nice but the communication skills are horrible so please be sure that your words are clear before you ask them to do anything. I will never use this place again nor do I recommend it. Half a mile down Stone Oak Parkway on the left hand side there is another Postal Service Center that has exceptional service and they do speak great English that you can understand. read more
