What I should have more wary of was the neighborhood. Kind of a sketchy area. Anyways, both words were very descriptive, and the food was actually plentiful and delicious! I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo at the main counter. There's a limited number of options, but more really isn't needed. My steak was medium rare (perfect) and for the base, I got both Fried Rice and Noodles. The included sauces perfectly compliment everything - including the grilled vegetables. My review is based on take out- we got the chicken & chicken + steak as teak out and both were delicious! We had to pay for the sauce which was unfortunate but they did add extra sauce to our order which I appreciate! Unfortunately there wasn't as much protein in the meal as what you would get if you dined in. However, the food was incredible! It didn't feel too heavy and comes with a lot of rice. When I picked up the food, the service was quick and pleasant and the place looked clean as well! Went on a Friday night and did not have any issues getting my food- the place did not seem crowded at all so I feel you can get away without a reservation and walking in. I have been coming here for years!! ever since I learned to drive. It's AMAZING EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. i'm very picky about how I like my hibachi and ever since I found this place it's either benihana or GOKU!! Great price, amazing meat & shrimp. Huge portions that I'm able to have as leftovers the next day! Great costumer service & i've never ever had my order wrong. The gyoza is bomb too! They have seating so you're able to watch the chef cook from your seat! they're very clean & as a review connoisseur I will recommend this place time & time again. Can't ever go wrong with extra yum yum sauce (Large size) but they do give you a small complimentary. The staff were friendly and courteous and service was fast and efficient. It's a small restaurant but they've got a few tables to dine-in. Coolest part is getting to watch the owner cook your meals for you! Location is a bit sketch as it's next to a big open field and behind a bus stop. It can be a little difficult to reach (depending on what side of the road you're on) but that doesn't take away from this hidden gem and the delicious hibachi! I work at a hospital and it has 4 entrances and can be challenging to get a delivery at the entrances closest to where we work but the driver was great and called to clarify making it easy and fast!! The food tasted just like if you sat at the hibachi table! The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned well and NOT too salty! Walking in - it smelled very good and there were a few small tables to sit and eat but it mostly looked like people just get it to go. Finally, I was able to try this fast casual Hibachi restaurant! My sister and I showed up right when they were opening and from start to finish received the best service. We were greeted coming in and when we were leaving by the nicest ladies. I will say, I was expecting a little more pizazz on the inside. The interior is drab and outdated, but I guess most people only care about the food. After ordering, we grabbed a seat and from our table watched the chef cook our food. What an awesome concept! Plus you aren't paying the expensive hibachi prices and it's not a long dining experience if you're looking to get in and out quickly. As always I went with the hibachi chicken with fried rice and my sister had the hibachi steak with noodles. The hibachi chicken was really good and the meal was so big that I finished it for dinner that night. The fried rice could've used more soy sauce and the veggies could've had more flavor, but thanks to the yum yum sauce I guess none of it needed those extra things. My sister enjoyed her meal and was happy to see that a fast casual hibachi place existed as it's one of our favorite things. I loooooove hibachi, but I'm not a fan of a lot of the places in Denver, and honestly, I'd rather eat it at home with some Netlflix in the background so I can starfish on my couch when I'm finished eating. Living the dream, amirite? I've always been impressed with Goku Hibachi Express. They have friendly staff, the meal gets cooked right in front of you (so you still get the hibachi experience), it's super fast, and oooo is it yummy. You get all of this, without having to pay an insane amount of money. I'd definitely recommend going for a combo. My favorite is steak and shrimp, which comes with vegetables and rice or noodles. They also include yum yum sauce and ginger sauce. The only recommendation I would have is for the restaurant to offer miso soup and a salad. Not necessary, but I would definitely purchase these as sides. A couple tips: ask for 1/2 noodles and 1/2 rice with your combo - may be a slight up charge (totally worth it), order online if you can - it usually only takes 15 minutes so time it with pick up, if you really like the dipping sauces consider paying extra for more, this is an especially great spot to grab a quick weekday dinner. read more

We've been eating here since they opened, and 99.9% of the time, they don't miss! Food is always delicious, fresh and generous portion sizes!! The spring rolls are always cooked perfectly and taste even better. The sauces are always on point. It was actually a couple of years ago that I visited this place twice. I would have given them 5 stars except I thought they were a little pricey. As for the food, REALLY REALLY good!
