We brought it to the attention of management and they still made us pay for it... how do you force payment on something that a customer doesn't want... mind you only 1 piece of sushi was eaten due to the taste and presentation. I love coming here and we always have a great time whenever we do! The food is always fantastic and the service is as well. My only issue with our visit this time is that our chef could not for the life of him get the steak proportions correct. He ended up having to get 3 extra steaks because he kept giving the wrong people food or just couldn't count how many people got steak. The group we had at our table that wasn't part of our group ended up getting like 2 portions of steak when some of us got half a portion due to his screw up. Other than that the food was great and you get a crazy amount to where you'll for sure end up with left overs. Ok, this place is incredible. Not only is the food absolutely first rate, the staff is exceptionally friendly. Our server was a lovely young woman named Yi Zi. She was fun, lively, helpful and knew menu inside and out. She made our meal even better than it already was. She even helped us take some of the photos. The sushi we ordered was well prepared and beautifully presented. My teriyaki salmon was exceptional and I will be ordering it again. We ordered strawberry and mango mochi and it was perfect. Mochi can be at art form and they have it mastered. The parking is easy, nearby and readily available. The building is clean and well maintained. The restrooms were clean stocked. Came here on a Friday night when they were about an hour from closing. Luckily there was another couple besides my lover and I who wanted hibachi so we were all sat together. I ordered the filet with scallops and friend rice, which has an additional charge but nothing excessive. The meal includes soup and salad, we also ordered the cream cheese ragoon for appetizer. I was pretty cold so I ordered a hot green tea, which was great. Our chef came out and did the whole hibachi show, it was great with even a flute to play when he did the onion train! I know this place offers hibachi too and there is a whole other section. However, the restaurant section feels nice and homie. Mt Fuji is located in a tucked corner of a strip mall. I'm sorry but this place is terrible. It's not real sushi i'm not sure what they did with this tuna, but it was minced don't order anything with spicy tuna because it's not sushi. When we let the manager know we were not happy he really didn't care to make it right. He brought out another sushi roll to make up for the subpar sushi rolls but this one was just as bad. Very average. Ambiance only so-so: we spent the evening staring into a closet. The chef's performance was ok, but nothing special (compared to other Asian cook-at-your-table restaurants). Came to have a quick lunch meeting and this was a nice surprise. Close by the 470 freeway in the Southlands Shopping center. Walked in and there just a few diners inside, not busy for lunch and I'm glad with that . It wasn't loud and the ambiance was perfect for a very casual lunch . The booths are a bit dated. The service was very welcoming and attentive. The bento lunch was a reasonable price of $10. Had hot green tea to drink. There was a hibachi table with diners and that looked fun. Great Food! Great Service! By far one of the best Hibachi experiences I've ever had. Visiting family here in Aurora and they suggested we go here for dinner. The restaurant offers regular dining, and a sushi bar, as well as the Hibachi experience. We went during the week so it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. The "hibachi show" was better than even some of the more popular Hibachi restaurants we had ever been to. Our cook was great and interacted with the group quite a bit . Now, to talk about the food. IT WAS EXCELLENT! I ordered the beef and chicken combo. The portions were much more than what I've ever gotten at other restaurants like this. I was full when I left that place. I ordered the Filet Mignon and Scallop combination, and my entree was cooked perfectly. The filet was perfectly seared but had a pink warm center and the scallops were crusted perfectly on the outside but still tender. The stir fried noodles and fried rice were noteworthy. We had the hibachi table and it was so much fun and the food was the best hibachi I had ever eaten. Then we ate at a table the other day and it was delicious. Came here as a party of 4 which meant we were seated with another party at our table. We had one end and they had the other with a small space between our 2 groups. This was just ok. I would have preferred at least one whole seat's worth of space in between for distancing purposes, but that seems to be luck of the draw with whomever else walks in around the same time you do. Our hibachi chef used to work at a different location in Parker and had recently moved over to this location. The chef was excellent -- very entertaining for our entire table from our young 3 year old to the older kids and the adults. Food was plentiful and delicious. Mt. Fuji has been the go-to sushi spot for my family and I, but lately, they have been letting us down with takeout, so we came here to see what it is actually like. When you come in, apart from the giant hibachi-viewing window, you will see the giant fish scales that will confused why they don't continue into a tail. Aside from that, ambiance is very casual and simple. The menu here is pretty straightforward and includes the typical Japanese-American dishes and some more inspired menu items. I highly recommend the egg rolls for an appetizer and green tea for a drink, especially if you have ordered a lot of food. On that note, service if fast and attentive to the need of the customers and they will have you be at home. I would strongly recommend the famous Norwegian dish, smoked salmon as it is very buttery, oily, and is so tender, that the amazing flavors will melt in your mouth, complimented by the soft and fluffy rice. You heard right! Smoked salmon is not Japanese and was invented as a way for Norway to deal with its major excess of salmon in the 1980's. Add some ginger to your salmon to make it even more flavorful and crunchy. Our meals were amazing, full of flavor and our service was also amazing. We left being full and happy, waiting to come back another time! Tl;dr: The service is great, food is amazingly soft and fluffy, with a great feel to it all.
