Lunch with my friend. It's been a while since we were together. The server was sweet and attentive. She doesn't like soup but tried some of the jjam bong. She liked it. It's a nice dish after a cold snowy day. She decided on ra jo gi. That suited her. I'm glad to introduce my friends to local Asian businesses. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean restaurant and restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Spicy Korean Fried Chicken(양념치킨) (check out that portion size)

Plans with a friend brought me out to this neck of the woods in Aurora, and I suggested we use the opportunity to check out Yong Gung. Denver proper does not offer much in the line of non-bbq style Korean food, and I had been hunting for a place that served jajangmyeon. We ordered two dishes to share. I chose the Ga Ja Jang (drier version of jajangmyeon), and she chose the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken, which came with rice cakes and cabbage slaw/salad. As others have noted, the portions were certainly generous. The fried chicken in particular had massive pieces of chicken, and the slaw/salad was at least a heaping two cups of cabbage. (I did not find the chicken to be spicy at all though, so I took to shaking some gochugaru from a condiment caddy on it.) The Ga Ja Jang was nicely done and flavorful; the springy chewy noodles were the star of the dish, and I think with an extra side of those, you could easily stretch out an additional serving. It did feel like a lot of the Ga Ja Jang was onions, however, rather than zucchini or pork. All of that said, it was definitely an enjoyable and reasonably priced meal. I would love to check out the Jjamppong next time. If I lived closer, I would certainly be stopping by for takeout.

There has been a good influx of Korean restaurants around Denver and a few jjajangmyun (black bean noodles) restaurants. Yong Gung is mainly known for their jjajangmyun and for good reason. The jjajangmyun I ordered is a new menu item that is spicy and contains seafood. It is easily for 2-3 people. I would highly recommend trying it out if you want a little bit of a different twist on jjajangmyun. The tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) was nice and crispy without too much batter. Make sure to ask for the sauce on the side so it doesn't get soggy! The service was great including the owner and waitress. The waitress was very attentive and made sure our waters were always full. The owner came by multiple times to ask if everything is ok and if we need anything else. Thanks! I'll make sure to come by again when I get my craving for jjajangmyun which will probably be soon!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was decent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm really spoiled when it comes to Korean food because I grew up in an area with 100's of Korean restaurants. But this place was almost as good as stuff in my hometown. We tried jjajjang myun, tangsooyook and ddeokbogi

This place has such good food for a very economical price. Their servings are larger and they don't skimp on the meats/seafood. Service is super friendly and attentive. We went there for Saturday lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and clean decor with light music playing so you can have a nice conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the kang pang shrimp, seafood udong, chicken fried rice, beef jap chae. The udon was delicious with big chunks of shrimp. The kang pang shrimp was sooo tasty with just the right amount of sweetness and crispiness. The chicken fried rice came with a side of beans with sauce that I've never tasted before and I've been to many Korean restaurants here and in South Korea itself. It was delicious! My friend thought everything tasted amazing as well!

Spicy seafood noodle soup had great flavor. Portion was enough for two meals since I had a delicious appetizer. Prompt service. I regret visiting this place after reading the reviews here. The Jajangmyeon was bland, and the sauce had absolutely no flavor--it tasted as if it had been rinsed in water. For the Jjamppong, I ordered the Level 4 spiciness, yet it wasn't even as spicy as instant ramen, and once again, the seasoning was completely flavorless. As for the Tangsuyuk, the batter was so strange that I actually thought I had been served fried calamari. It was an entirely different dish altogether. I am Korean. I suppose I came here with my expectations set far too high. I am truly disappointed. All the ingredients were chopped into tiny pieces. I do not recommend this place.

Portion sizes are huge here! The kkan pung shrimp is always a winner but we've actually never ordered anything that wasn't delicious! This is Korean/Chinese and while most of the dishes lean towards the Korean side there is definitely some Chinese flare added in. Service is great, they are always attentive and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean, open space and always have ample seating for any sized group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a classic place in Aurora for some Korean-Chinese comfort food. It seemed like the go-to menu on the item was the Donkatsu (Pork and Chicken options). The staff are friendly, there is plenty of seating and parking, and the prices are reasonable. In terms of the taste, I think this place gets a 3/5 but considering how BIG their portions are, they definitely get an additional star. I would say that if you are ambitious, you can even save half of your dish for another meal or be super full for 1 meal. Overall, I would recommend this place for a big group of hungry friends!

    Pork Katsu(돈까스), Ja Jang Myeon(짜장면), Jjam Bong(짬뽕)

DELICIOUS! Amazing service and incredible options. We shared the jjam bong, ja jang myeon, and pork katsu. SO GOOD!!! The soup was something you cannot skip. I would highly recommend this place and I will be returning.

Great customer service. Very friendly server. Ordered a jjampong. The soup was yummy and had a thicker textured. Not watery like other places. However, not much seafood ingredients and the shrimp and mussel both had the shell on so it was inconvenient to eat.

This place is so good these days. Seafood jjambong and pork cutlet were the best. It was better than paiksnoodle!

Had dinner here yesterday and was not disappointed. The server was friendly, sat us quickly and was extremely attentive. I drink lots of water and I never had to ask for more water. We got combo A that comes with black bean noodles, sweet and sour pork and a stew (that I don't remember the name of) the black bean noodles are my favorite here because they add soo much onion. Also ordered spicy rice cakes as a side/ app. I would say this was on the spicier side for someone who doesn't like spicy - I would not recommend. Almost forgot! They revamped their look and had a large projector with music videos. I enjoyed the vibes too ^_^ 5/5 because it is great value and always tasty. I would say the food here is always consistent.

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

We inquired about a photo on the wall. She told us it was hot and spicy chicken. She said it was not very spicy. The dishes arrive shortly after ordering. The lo mein noodles came out first followed by the hot and spicy chicken. From the looks of it, the hot and spicy chicken really looked quite spicy. It was covered with hot chilies. I tasted one piece and my mouth was burning. I told my husband we should change the order if he couldn't eat it. He tried a few pieces and agreed that it was hot. He did not really want to bother the staff with a re-order. When staff appeared again, I told her the chicken really was too hot. She said they were happy to exchange the meal and that she would take this dish off the bill. Instead, we got fried calamari. In the meantime, I was eating my lo mein, which was quite good.
