And that is not your intention. I saw a really cute woman named Julia at my nail salon with awesome blonde hair. I asked her where she got it done and she replied Gold & Braid in San Juan Capistrano and my stylist is Nevin. Sadly Neven was totally booked ( It's all really good stylist are-for a couple of months) and I didn't have the patience to wait. Terrible service! I didn't get anything close to what I asked for. I was asked to take my first review down, but I can't let another person ruin their hair trusting some fake reviews. And no, I had mentioned to Amber that my hair had been black before and this was my second time lightning my hair. I showed her what I wanted in the pictures clearly, I didn't get anywhere near that regardless of what the color was supposed to be that is not anywhere near what I showed her and what I got in return. I tried reaching out to Amber O and she was busy in the ER, but had time to post her comment on here. Shows the type of business owner she really is. First off, I asked for your best hair colorist that knows how to do great and real Balayage. I never said give me a cheap and incompetent wannabe stylist. You claimed she was amazing and that you had personally trained her. Not only did she ruin my hair, she also chopped my daughters hair off as if she was Edward Scissor hands! My 6 year old would've done a WAY BETTER JOB cutting her own hair. She just kept chopping the front of her hair and leaving the back all long. Her whole head was left uneven and the front being all the way up to her ears when she simply asked for a cut to her shoulders. If you endorse her work then I already know your lack of skills. Last but not least, better believe I let her have it! She shouldn't have fucked our hair up and then is too scared to give your into up and begs for me to take an honest review down. :::UPDATE::: 1.) I received a text message from Kayla at 2:30 AM the night I posted the original review. She asked me to take the review down, and consider the whole fiasco "a learning experience for both of us". 2.) I received a text message the next morning from the salon manager saying she was sorry about my hair, that she'd like to put some product in the mail to me, and that the owner would be following up with a phone call. 3.) 4 products arrived a few weeks later -  Davines Heart of Glass Shampoo, Conditioner, Glaze, and Moisture Treatment. (This is a blonde hair maintenance routine line, and while I appreciated this gesture, I will say I was expecting something more along the lines of a heavy duty reparative treatment to help with the hefty damage that was sustained. Appreciated, regardless.) 4.) Last week, I asked the salon manager a second time about the possibility of getting a refund, as I spent over $300 and felt it was clearly warranted. She informed me that only Kayla could authorize a refund and that she would talk to her about it again. I have not received a refund and doubt I will. 5.) Owner never called, despite her reply to this very review, in which she said that she would.  Last week, I asked the salon manager if I should just assume I would not hear from her; I got no response from the manager, and obviously no call from the owner. Mistakes happen, but how those mistakes are handled makes all the difference. Sadly, this business has missed every single mark, despite many opportunities to turn the situation around. She's also very sweet and holds great conversation Also, I've never really liked the application of my extensions by previous hairstylists or they didn't last long, but with her they last so long, don't budge, and grow out so naturally. 10/10 my hair looks better than I imagined it would. I love Gold and Braid, it's my favorite salon in OC. They're even better than salons right on the water in Newport and lido. I have tried a few different stylists here over the last few years (mission Viejo and SJC) and they were all great, It just comes down to personality for who you prefer. I book online and then each stylist has their own prices and you checkout with your stylist on a phone. Easy! When you walk in there is no receptionist (anymore) but your stylist will come get you. read more
