Great tasting pizza located in the heart of Gold Country in the small historic town of Sutter Creek. The restart is in what looks like a historic turn of the century home that's been convert to a restaurant. There's a patio in the front and amazing backyard patio that overlooks Sutter Creek. The pizza itself is all quality crafted to perfection. The pizza crust reminds me of Strawhat pizza or Shakey's from way back in the day. I ordered a medium Gold Dust combo. On the menu the Gold Dust combo doesn't have a lot of toppings compared to other pizza places but all the ingredients they put on it works perfectly and they don't skimp on the toppings. It's really quality you can taste. The ranch dressing tastes like it's house made with the buttermilk you can taste and it's really thick. The ranch doesn't taste like commercially bought sauce from Sysco or any supplier. From Sactown it's just about an hour drive taking the hwy 16 Jackson road. It's well worth the drive just for the pizza. Best time to enjoy the outdoor dining is spring or early summer. Gold Dust combo pizza score: 9/10 read more

Stopped by for lunch to dine in. Saw they had speciality pizzas so decided to try some out. It was nice you can do half and half on pizzas to try different flavors! Settled on half white chicken delight and half wild bills brisket pizza. For the largest size to bring home, it was about $40 total which is readable for the size. It was a bit of a wait but came out hot and fresh. Both pizzas were good but my favorite was the brisket pizza, the toppings went together well. Both pizzas had excellent crust, perfect thickness and perfectly soft and crunchy! I will say that the toppings are in too big of chunks. Half the time it was falling off because the chicken and brisket were too large of pieces, wish they would cut that into smaller pieces it would have been more enjoyable. We arrived at 7:50 after a Flag Football game at the High School not realizing the restaurant closed at 8:00. A very nice employee came to let us know while we were looking over the menu that they would be closing in 10 minutes. Asked if it was possible to put our order in a to go box and eat on the patio. We told them of course. Our order was delivered to us outside along with plates. All employees who came by asked if we were doing OK. My granddaughters went in to get refills on the drinks and were met with employees willing to help them even though it was after 8:00 while they were eating. We came in on a Saturday around 2:30 and it was quite busy be we were still able to get a table. We ordered the Gold Digger on thick crust and it was probably some of the best pizza I've ever had! My family has been going here for over a decade. Yesterday we went here. There was no ice. My husband went in to order a pizza with my son in law. Their pizza came out, and we were stuck waiting for about a half an hour. I was given plastic cups for our pitcher of beer. I have to ask for cold glasses. We went up to the front counter and the lady had put our pizza to go and was just sitting there waiting. We were only given to go cheese and peppers. While I watched the ladies service two other tables with glass peppers and cheese, filled up their napkins. The whole experience was a big upset. No apologies for any of it. I haven't seen any of these staff members over the years we have been going here. First let me tell you how mad/annoyed you have to make me for me to actively go out of my way to leave a bad review on a local place. On 5/2 I placed an order for two pizzas and some breadsticks. I placed the order online. When I arrived the Manager told me the pizzas got made but the breadsticks didn't for some reason. He offered to refund me and make them asap if I wanted to wait 10 minutes. I have my own employees so I know screw ups happen so I said sure. 10 minutes later I was walking out the door with the freshly made breadsticks just like he said. I thought "they screwed up but they handled it very well." Now first let me tell you they put stickers on the boxes to seal them. When I got home and cut all the stickers and opened the boxes I found that what I actually had was one of my two pizzas and two breadsticks. So when they thought they messed up and didn't make the breadsticks, no they didn't make one of the pizzas, the one for my kids of course. I went onto the website that same evening to the contact us form and filled it out explaining the situation. Asking for a refund on the pizza I didn't get. I waited from 5/2 to 5/11 with no response. So on 5/11 I did the contact us form again. Still no response as of 5/15. I am really disappointed with whoever is in charge of the email. At this point I won't be back or recommending. read more

One of the big reasons, was because I told him about Gold Dust Pizza. I was here several years ago and loved it. It was even better this time! Their back seating area is outdoors and is right up against Sutter Creek. We loved the scenery and sitting out there. The employees were very friendly and hard working. Their pizza is delicious! They have a good selection of beers on tap and really great size options. They have a good soda selection as well. Their boneless wings were ok.
