With her extreme move out demands. And tasks to be completely, otherwise security deposit is withheld, has made this process exhausting. I have been a tenant for years. We have been renting a home that gold key manages for a little over 3 years now and it has been a great experience. The team responds quickly to any question or concerns. They have even helped us by letting us borrow a portable ac unit while our ac was being fixed. Kristen has been so great with any of our Maintence requests and even follows up to make sure everything is working properly. I scheduled a property tours a few days in advance and confirmed the time and date again. On the day of the tour, they sent me text to confirm before 9:00AM. I saw the text few minutes after 9:00 and tried reaching them to confirm if it was still okay to go there. They didn't answer my call. Later Ivanna called me back and she was furious that I called. She said she was not at work and was driving to work ! She then proceeded to be rude and cancelled the property tour herself ! read more

Going with Gold Key as a homeowner in urgent need to rent my property was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In 2018, I was finishing my doctoral degree and moving to a new job from San Diego to LA. I was in a rush and went with an individual that claimed to be a property manager (he was recommended by someone I know). Almost one year later, I realized he kept my money and was lying both to me and my tenants about repairs and other shady situations. I needed to find someone new who was reliable and actually replied to my calls and messages. I decided to not renew my contact with my previous manager and my tax lady recommended Gold Key, and WHOA! I was impressed! What a difference. Gold Key has all transactions and forms online (and will send you hard copies if you want them). Receipts are provided for you for every expense. You get monthly statements. They have great customer service. Stacey Connors is simply amazing! ...I mean, so is the rest of the team but I communicated with her the most. The team was very communicative during the scheduling to view the home and during the application process. They listened to our need for a quick move and were able to address our concerns. Do Not Do Business w/ GOLD KEY PROPERTY‼ DUE TO TEXT LIMITS, I can't share the entire story & occurrences, but to cut to the chase, Gold Key isn't for its tenants and working with Ivana Milosevic has been stressful and a complete NIGHTMARE! She is obnoxious, stubborn, rude, and borderline unethical. She doesn't know how to communicate effectively with people without offending them. If you want to be heard, respected, and treated fairly, DONT DO BUSINESS W/ GOLD KEY! We looked at a house we found on Trulia in May of 2019. Stacey Connors was our showing agent and she was magnificent. If I had known that I wouldn't be working exclusively with her, I probably wouldn't have rented the place. Stacey was so sweet and everything went well until the last 3 months of my lease, which I am still in On April 2nd, we received a called from Ivana herself asking us if we are going to pay the rent for April. Keep in mind that we've never missed a payment nor been late so it seem odd that she would call & ask. I told her that we would pay like we did every month and she responded that the homeowners wanted to know because of COVID-19. Sooooo in my mind I'm thinking you couldn't have led with that? You couldn't have asked "hey are you all affected by COVID-19? If so, let's go over your options!" But I let it slide and went on about my day! (1st mistake) I received an email two weeks later stating that the homeowners decided to sell the home and that they would be showing the house ... during a PANDEMIC! Now had I known the owners intentions were to sale the house in the beginning, we probably wouldn't have moved in because I hate feeling like my privacy is being invaded. So I expressed my concerns to Ivana & Carol Mundell, the listing agent, about safety but of course their main concern is showing the home to get offers bc to them it's a property, not a dwelling where a family of 5 lives. Legally, all they have to do is give us 24 hour notice and could still show the house. They then asked us, the paying tenants, to straighten up more (clean dishes in the sink, nothing on the counters, and no laundry on the floor) and live out of boxes. I told them that that's not our job to stage the house as if no one lives here and we pay too much money to live out of boxes. I also don't know what cleaning up more has to do with work on the house? Maybe they shouldn't have listed alternative features online. Lastly, my boyfriend was recently ROM'd (restriction of movement) by his job because of possible exposure of COVID-19 from one of his coworkers. The same day he was ROM'd, Carol emailed us about a possible showing at 6 pm the next day. We told her that he has been quarantined due to possible exposure for 14 days. The next day, Ivana called his job (military) and asked if he had tested positive for COVID-19 (DEFINITELY NOT WHAT HE SAID) which then turned into his command calling him basically questioning his integrity. He then called her, on speakerphone, and asked her not to call his job making false statements and she said that cannot do that and that if "he would be quiet she can explain". He told her to email whatever she had to say and hung up. She could have easily called him to ask him to get documentation without violating HIPPA from his command but it seemed like she didn't believe him as if he or we wanted to impede their house buying process. I even had my current real estate agent reach out to her broker to let him know that a complaint has been put out against her. She immediately called my agent back and was rude and snappy to her as well! I asked my real estate agent to ask her if we can deal with someone else and she said "that there wasn't anyone else" and "this is my company!" Ivana Milosevic is the rudest property manager I've ever dealt with in over 11 years of renting and I've been stationed on both coasts and the Middle East. Her snarky comments are unwarranted and instead of creating solutions to problems, she worsens them. I would suggest staying away from Gold Key altogether until it's no longer her company. read more

I will tell you right now, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! If I can somehow find a way to warn as many people as I can, I will. We were in hell for 10 of the 12 months we had a lease with them. They are con artists! They will make everything sound great, grand and wonderful , but do NOT be fooled. Once you sign the lease, it's over! They are slumlords. We had to put in THOUSANDS of dollars of FIXES with our own money, JUST, to live comfortably. You just cannot really know how bad something is until you live in it. We paid top dollar for a place and it turned out to be WORSE than ANY OTHER place we have rented over the last 15 years of renting. Also working with Ivana is an absolute nightmare! She is the rudest woman we have ever come into contact with. These "good" reviews I'm certain, are not all real. I bet they gave some incentive or they know these people in one way or another. I will tell you why I feel that way...I am pretty confident in the fact that they are so awful there will be a lot more bad reviews over time. ***Do not sign any contract stating you will not post any reviews on any review sites!!!
