It took me hours to get a tow and I had to call 4 times to get my own updates. I really hope AAA takes them out of rotation. When they did finally show up, the driver was super nice and helpful and let me know it was his first day. Not a problem, we've all been there. But this was where things started to go off the rails. Long story short, they did offer to pay for some of the damage to a seat that was done but it wasn't nearly enough. Zero communication! Gold line towing was dispatched from my AAA car insurance to tow my car. I specifically asked for a tow bed due to my car being lowered. After waiting about two hours they came out and could not put it onto the bed as he drove it up my bumper pulled I heard the scratching , so he pulled back off the tow bed and said that he didn't have the "proper tools" to tow my car and that he was sending out a different truck. 30 minutes later I called back gold line and the man said that my vehicle is "not covered under my insurance" due to it being lowered, which made no sense. I've had my car towed before with my AAA insurance that I have had for the past four years. There I go back on the line with AAA when I asked about the other tow truck coming out how long it would take, come to find out there was no call out to dispatch (the tow truck driver said there was) gold line just canceled the call lied to my face as I sat in a dark parking lot alone at night. Gold Line Towing....The minute Daniel made contact with me he ask me to signed his slip receipt. In my 20 years as a AAA member never been asked to sign a receipt. I notice his body language was very negative he said Good M in a very cold way. He proceeded to Jump start the battery and I explain and showed him that once I stop the engine the car won't start back again. I called AAA on a Friday night at 9:00 my vehicle had been in an accident and was unable to be driven. They sent Gold Line towing. The driver asked for my AAA card & ID. After we were in the tow truck driving away he suggested leaving it at the tow yard instead of at the repair shop which would not be open until Monday. He did not inform me he was canceling the tow from AAA and making it a private tow with his company. Monday morning I went to Gold line to pay my 4 day storage fee. At that time I was informed not only would I be paying for 4 days but an extra $570 for towing. She said they had to charge me for the extra work they did to be able to tow the vehicle. that was an outright lie. The man that brought me back to get my things out of the car told me if I had towed my car to the collision shop that would've been no charge for towing. I have called AAA and registered a complaint against them. The collision company went to pick up the vehicle. AAA will be reimbursing me the extra fee and making a complaint on Gold line towing for their unethical practices. If could give them less than one star I would. read more

Is there a negative stars rating? These are some of the worst human beings I have ever come across. Six times I went the their facility to collect my things out of my vehicle and every time I did they requested another document or flat out wouldn't accept the paperwork I provided even though I recorded them assuring me that if I provided xyz, they'd let me into my vehicle no problem. Even had a police escort who witnessed the convo yet they played games with me and denied me up until they auctioned off the vehicle and kept my belongings, and I'm talking about thousands of dollars of my stuff not to mention personal items such as drivers license, social security card, original birth certificate etc etc. what they are doing to people is not only immoral but illegal. I called AAA for a tow and I explained that my fiancee was broken down in my car AAA noted that I would not be there but my fiancee would and it would be okay for him to just show his license since the car is registered in my name. Tow truck driver refused to tow my car. My fiancee was waiting an hour and they were texting his phone so obviously AAA wrote in the notes he would be the one to show his ID tow truck driver and his manager both refused to tow my car. The service for his towing service is horrible!! Call any other place! The people on the phone were incredibly rude and unhelpful. My boyfriend and I called towing services and was told a truck would be sent out and take 40 minutes or so. It took over an hour for the truck to come and get us but when the truck came into the parking lot our car was in, the truck drove right past us and left the parking lot. The make, model, and year was given and it's a hard car to miss considering it was the only one in the lot. We called the company to say the truck drove past and the guy on the phone said he "didn't see" our car and since he called us an there was no answer they decided to close the claim and leave and not reopen or send another truck out. Mind you, we were standing outside of the car trying to be prepared for the tow AND NEVER received a phone call from driver or company. The guy on the phone ended up hanging up on us after refusing to open another claim or even send someone to help. These people are morons. Please don't waist your time with this company or money. Spend the few extra dollars to get some actual service. read more

A couple of days ago I had an issue with my vehicle and needed it towed to the dealer. I called AAA and the company that was sent said they couldn't assist me...that I needed a flat bed. I called AAA back and explained the situation and because it was so late at night, AAA and I agreed to an actual appointment time (6:30 a.m.) for the following day with a different towing service: Gold Line Towing. The driver called me at approximately 6:10 a.m. that next morning to confirm he was on his way and would be here in about 20 minutes. He arrived right on time. He was courteous and professional and most considerate in how he treated my vehicle (very carefully). I'm a very nervous passenger but he was an excellent driver and knew exactly where he needed to unload my vehicle once at the dealership. And not that it matters, really, but it was the nicest looking, all black, totally cleanest tow truck I've ever ridden in.
