The second one, the treatment plan, just didn't make sense- Why did you want to shave her teeth? I contacted Sunrise Orthodontics on a co-worker recommendation and omeygoodness, they blew the other two OUT OF THE WATER! Not only was the total price more considerate, the treatment plan was more realistic...they didn't ask for a mansion down payment, nor needed to shave my daughter teeth! Zaira was our Treatment Coordinator and she was so friendly, honest and broke down every single information. She is very thorough and answered my million plus questions. She gave such a human touch and is still very approachable to this day! Dr. Kim came in, and she was so friendly, went over the needs of my daughter...explained everything..and actually she was so honest, telling us that due to a 90% overbite, that the top braces would go first..then a couple months the bottom. If both top and bottom had gone Iin at the same time (like the first two places said) her top teeth would have broken the lower ones- causing not just pain, but more costly treatment, as the bottom would need to be constantly replaced! This is just a sample of how friendly, honest, truthful they are. Josie, she was the one taking the payment..such a nice funny person, straight forward, told me about the scheduling procedures and provided documentation for everything! P.S GET THE LIFETIME RETAINERS INSURANCE! The Orthodontic assistants, I believe it was Ashley, and I think Yasmin, Stephanie...and I cannot remember the other 2...they were respectful, nice, super patient... THIS IS the place to get your Orthodontic needs! We are super happy with them! My other son will need braces latwr on and we will definitely be going to Sunrise Orthodontics! Also besides the friendly, great customer service...their kids playroom is awesome!

Their consult room has a dental chair inside where photos, exams and treatment plans can be discussed. Their prices are fair, they're in network with Delta Dental, and their monthly payments are super duper helpful. We are always seen promptly at our appointment times and the check in system is super easy. They even have a room equipped with iPads and games to keep my kids occupied while waiting, and most importantly there's toothbrushes readily available for the kids!! My only complaint is rescheduling an appointment is extremely difficult, but I guess that is a testament to their practice and how many patients come. Thanks, Sunrise!

I even pressed the doctor asking if he was sure I didn't need a root canal or something. Nope deep clean. My teeth feel SO much better. No pain no sensitives anymore. Doctor was correct. Place is large and on the louder side. Women came in and was very clear about what everything would cost which was great. The only downfall is the receptionist was a bit loud when asking personal questions. They could work on discretion. The reception desk is close to lobby so anyone can hear what your being asked. I'd rather not have people hear. Most dental offices I've been in are very quiet when asking same questions.

As a 28 year old who has been to the dentist for cleaning every 6 months for over 20 years, I don't know why this started. I have been very open about my dental anxiety with this office and I know it is listed on my patient profile as well. My anxiety is so intense that they usually only do the bare minimum for cleaning, because that's all I can handle. I've never been prescribed anti anxiety medication for these appointments. They are not very compassionate towards my feelings when I come in. This is the only office that has ever pushed me to remove my wisdom teeth. As I finally decided to, I was told I would be put under general anesthesia. When I got there for the procedure, I was told 5 minutes before the procedure, that I would not be completely under or asleep the whole time. As someone who already has serve anxiety, this was super scary and I had no time to prepare. I woke up multiple times throughout the wisdom teeth removal and was in intense panick mode. When I woke up after the procedure was completed the nurse who was in the room with me, excessively repeated "breath through your nose and open your eyes" in frustrated/rude tone. I was trying to breath through my nose but was struggling to stop hyperventilating at the same time. And my eyes were already open. I tried to clam down so I could leave as soon as possible. I felt that while this office may be good for the general patient, if you have any sort of elevated dental anxiety, I would NOT recommend coming here. They just don't seem to be as compassionate as I wish they would be and they almost seem annoyed that I experience this uncontrolable anxiety. I cannot speak on their services because I feel mine are done a bit differently than the average persons (due to the anxiety that I experience)

At my first visit for a painful tooth, they took numerous X-rays with almost no explanation or communication. The dentist eventually came in, briefly told me what needed to be done, and I was sent off with antibiotics. No X-rays shown, no real discussion. During the root canal, despite explaining my anxiety and mild claustrophobia, they tried to force in an oversized plastic piece without a word. When I couldn't tolerate it, they only then tried a less massive option. The chair was reclined so far that my head was below my hips, which made the experience even more stressful. I was left hanging like that for nearly two hours without a break to sit up. Later, no aftercare instructions were provided. The billing was just as frustrating. Because of an error on the claims form, the insurance sent the reimbursement check to me instead of the office. When I brought in the payment, the office manager was defensive and rude, blaming the insurance despite it clearly being their mistake. A few days later, I received the exact same payment request again, despite already having paid, and with proof of payment. Not sure, what goes on in their office, but it seems pretty disorganized to me. I really wanted to like this place, but this was one of the worst dental experiences I've had. I won't be back.

When I insisted on a cold test, the sensation went away immediately -- it did not linger. According to the American Association of Endodontists, a diagnosis of irreversible pulpitis (the clinical justification for a root canal) requires lingering pain of 30 seconds or longer after the cold stimulus is removed. A sensation that disappears instantly is actually consistent with a healthy or reversible response. Despite this, Dr. Kim told me the result proved I needed a root canal -- which directly contradicts standard endodontic diagnostic criteria. Additionally, no written cost estimate was provided before the procedure. Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers -- including dental offices -- are legally required to provide a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before any non-emergency service. I was only told the cost after the root canal was completed, which is a violation of this patient protection law. A second opinion from another dentist confirmed my concerns about the cold test interpretation. This experience felt rushed, financially motivated, and lacking in the diagnostic thoroughness that patients deserve. I would strongly encourage anyone here to seek a second opinion before agreeing to any invasive procedure, and to specifically request a written cost estimate upfront -- it is your legal right.

First, they charge outrageous prices--hundreds out of pocket per kid--even after insurance. We figured we just had mediocre coverage through Delta Dental, until we went to a different pediatric dentist in Roseville with the exact same insurance... and paid nothing. Everything was covered. So what exactly makes Weideman so special? Honestly, it feels like they've found a loophole to charge whatever they want while leaving parents to fight with their insurance company for scraps. And reading through other reviews it is clear that I'm not the first to complain about this. To make things worse, one of their techs tried to charge us twice for a simple X-ray--just because my 4-year-old moved slightly. When I objected, they said they'd remove the charge. Then they argued with me at checkout to try to add it back in. Are you kidding me? He's four. What did they expect--perfect stillness and a signature? For a place that already bills over $600 per kid out of pocket, the idea that a redo X-ray costs extra is laughable. The whole experience felt nickel-and-dimey and exploitative. Save yourself the frustration--we will NEVER be going back.
