Fantastic coffee and service! Got a couple pastries during my first visit as well as a chicken samosa. The samosa was quite greasy which I did not like but the donuts were delicious! You can buy packets of day old donuts for super cheap if you come early enough. During my second visit, I got a Ruben sandwich. Owner and night baker is an amazing guy. Remember when 'Eclairs were great and one was enough? We'll multiply that by my over reach. Golden Bakery and deli is beyond any memories of anything you have witnessed. Bear claws, doughnuts, pastry sticks, apple fitters, and apple turnovers. And get this a sandwich deli. Coffee alway great . Two types for choice. Staff pleasant even the new hires. Miss the older staff that made the place what it is today. Amazing. Just amazing. Everything made from scratch...you could even see the hand laid frosty swipes on each donut... ;). From the meat rolls to the butter chicken samosas...everything rocked. The toast with my breakfast was some of the best bread I've had in a long time...you almost forget how amazing home made breads are...but you won't forget that coming here. My sincerest apologies for not grabbing any photos - we were all starved and the food went down like air and water. I can't even remember anyone talking at the table...just moans of delight. We stopped in here for a quick caffeine fix before hitting the road for some adventures. I ordered a salted caramel cold brew. The coffee was alright, although the salted caramel was a little too sweet for my liking. The place as a whole is immaculate. Family owned and operated. The staff are VERY kind. Faith was our lady saviour today serving a delicious cheese turkey sandwich, breakfast BLT and caramel iced coffees. The place is also open at 6am so they're very accessible to workers, early morning explorers and finely aged people alike. Perhaps ask about the "old people table" you could get some fun stories! Walking around town after a long drive. We walked in to this bakery. It looks old but has many things to offer. We ordered an apple fritter- which was superb. We got a 6 pack of oatmeal cookies. I must say- it's one of the best I've had. The cookies were big - thinking it would be hard. It was soft. It was soft still after 2 days. Flavor was delicious- maybe they added maple syrup to sweeten it. I wish I had bought extra and tried the shortbread cookies. read more

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The Raisin bread is beyond awesome. The pastry are good as well. Food is fine, like home cooking. Don't expect fine dining or you will leave disappointed. Nice small deli and bakery. Looks like everything is made fresh. Yesterday I only had some coffee and an apple fritter, but it was probably the best apple fritter I've ever had. Awesome for a roadside stop! My partner and I went here in early September and it was a great little spot! We custom ordered our sandwiches and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. It's nothing fancy but the food tasted fresh and the service was great, and the bathroom while also not fancy, was adequately clean and everything worked. Would definitely stop here again! read more

Ordered a pizza roll since it was the only tasty looking thing in the savory section. All of the sweets were okay looking though I haven't tried it so I can't say much about them. The worker helped to toast the roll but when I ate it , it was a little too cold. It wasn't toasted or heated up entirely. There were small thinly sliced meat and a lot of bread in it. This is a dive looking place but the baked goods are fantastic. The owners wife helped us and she is as friendly as they come. We picked up a bag of goodies and a loaf of bread for $5. Ok, YUM!!! Stopped in for a quick sweet fix, got some coconut macaroons, ice box cookies, short bread cookies, Nanaimo bars, and macaroon bars. We got two of each, but sat and ate the Nanaimo bars. OMG!!!! They were the BEST!!! Matter of fact, we were taking all of the others back to our B&B, we HAD to get two more Nanaimo bars too!! Definitely stop in. They serve lunches also, and if the baked goods are any indication, the rest of their food should be good too. read more
