Food: My wife had the island bowl which had two poached eggs, veges, avocado and a hollandaise sauce which was lighter but clean and flavorful. I had the Reuben sandwich which was quite good. The corned beef was sliced thin and tender. The 1:1 ratio of meat to kraut was good and the bread had a nice crispy toast to it. The star of the table, however, were the hand cut fries. They were very crispy, not too oily, and perfectly seasoned. Overall, this was pretty solid. Even at our cabin in Golden we have a ton of bug pressure so I kind of cut this place some slack, the restaurant itself was otherwise clean but I understand this might bother other people too much. If you're looking to switch up your brunch rotation I would at least consider this place.

The line was pretty long when I got here but it moved quickly enough for the length of the line. I got the bacon scrambled egg wrap and vanilla cream cold brew. The wrap was not bad, not big, but not small either. Pretty good snacking size to me. It has hash brown, bacon and scrambled eggs inside with cheese and sauce that tastes like thousand island to me. The timbits are the gamechanger here! 8 donut holes come in the small box and my favs are the sprinkles and the glazed donuts. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a small box of tim bits and a small coffee was around $5 CAD. Line can get busy, which if you're willing to wait, you'll get your caffeine fix.

The prices are on par with home (Honolulu), so I wasn't broke upon leaving. The food was as good as it was familiar. The Mrs said the Chicken Big Mac was so good that she was surprised that they hadn't added it to the menu earlier. All in all, this was above average for a McDonald's joint, but it's still fast food. Oh and you can get poutine here - if you're looking for regional/unique foods. They are warm and personable, and they freaking climb a mountain to work every day. - the soup (vegetarian chili) and tea were so good on a cold and rainy day. - they take credit card and have a small gift shop The okay - they were out of a lot of stuff (but again... they're relying on people to hike or helicopter their supplies. It makes sense.) - the baked goods are a bit dry. We had the homemade bread with our soup and the tea biscuits. I preferred the tea biscuits with the strawberry jelly, but in hindsight, I'd stick with the soup and tea. When else can you stop at a tea house mid-hike! Highly recommend the stop.
